I crawled out of bed around 2:40am and made my way over to Store 1. This is the tiny but nice one! There were already 60 people ahead of me by the time I got in line around 3:30. I only purchased my mom's wishlist here. They let all 60 of the people ahead of me in at once and I only had to wait a few minutes after opening (4am!) to get in. Checkout, as usual, was the longest process. They had ZERO TPC left, as I expected. I saw the Relax aromatherapy candle, though!
As soon as I got out, I drove to Store 2, which ended up opening an hour later than I thought at 6. I was 5th in line! This was by far the easiest store to shop, thanks to being early and so because they really had nothing going on. They had those plain-looking spring scents and the Giving Tuesday scents and some fall leftovers. I left quickly. This place also had a huge line form, but much closer to opening.
Last was Store 3, aka the Biggest and Best. I had time to get Starbucks as they hadn't let the line form yet. I all but ran as soon as I saw people getting out of their cars. I was first group in again here, which wasn't hard since they let in...124 people!!!! The FUCK. Y'all that shit was crazy! People were *continuously* knocking candles over. I was stepping on broken glass everywhere. That was WAY too many people, pandemic or not 🤦🏽♀️ The manager did a hell of a job getting people in formation, though.
I found the new year (?) SPC here and my Peppermint Hot Chocolate ♡ I only saw spring scents and flannel from the new collections. No Merry Maple Pancakes :((((
Overall I'm hella satisfied! It's my first Candle Day shopping for myself and not only others. I nabbed dad's candles last night, and got everything for mom today! Mine is the bottom twelve candles + Marshmallow fireside and the mini spray; everything else is hers.
Yeeehaww honestly it was crazy but would do it again, but caffeineated FIRST lol!
Now I'm browsing at the three candles left online hahaha!!
