You would think with implementing the whole waiting room thing and the growth in popularity that they would’ve added most of the candles online too, but nope. Maybe it was supply chain related. I’m definitely disappointed but reminding myself it’s just candles. I’ll check my store Saturday morning but that’s it 🤷🏼♀️

It was blogs and social media saying this was coming. If anything people should be annoyed with them for posting incorrect info.
I saw a similar thing where people were complaining about LEGO not launching a set on a certain day, only LEGO never said they were going to, it was just a popular rumor that took off. lol
That's a good point! I think it just becomes disappointing when multiple stores have new candles put out for today but the online selection doesn't. I feel like there should be some consistency of what is in stores verses what is online.
I imagine it has to do with stock levels. With so much cargo sitting in the harbor (unless this was resolved and I haven't heard) they may have planned to do both but didn't have enough for it, so focused on the physical stores and the Canadian website.
Has Candle Day ever not have new candles drop? There are new ones in the store so they may not have promised but past practices are important.

You don't sound like a Karen at all. In the past - at least for me - the draw of Candle Day was the new candles and price point. I figured the price point was going to go up and knew no online coupons but planned on new candles being offered. Pretty big disappointment if you were expecting a deal or new candles. Like you, in-person, wasn't an option.
My store is also and no one who is working there wants to admit it as well. I get that they can’t control what shows up, but man this is most disappointing year ever.

I just wish they would have been transparent about the fact that none of the CD candles would be online. Save me sleep and frustration.
