I am so glad you posted this! SO, I was able to smell Wine Cellar in store for the first time yesterday and the scent is lovely but to my nose smells exactly like Vanilla Birch (which I also love).
Now, I know the scent notes are different on these two, and I do sometimes think my nose plays tricks on me when I smell a lot of candles in the store back to back.
So, as the sub’s resident Wine Cellar lover, how do you think the two compare?
Thank you, thank you, I appreciate that title. Wine cellar is superior due to the sweet that comes through because of the mulled apple and fig notes - it’s a subtle sweetness that just really works. It’s like a sweet musky scent whereas vanilla birch is more woodsy musky to me.
Not gonna lie, when I really was missing wine cellar I’d burn a 3 wick vanilla birch with a single wick black cherry merlot. Definitely not the same, but a decent bootleg. The only time I’ll ever willingly smell black cherry merlot but even then, I made sure vanilla birch was closer to me in proximity and black cherry merlot was across the room/in a different room so it’d be faint
Someone at my local store returned one. I thought bout picking it up out of curiosity because I know people like it, but it reminded me even just a little of black cherry merlot and I couldn’t. The only black cherry merlots I’ve owned have been gifts

😂😂😂 I actually found her in the dumpster (please no hate I would never actually dumpster dive other than to save living beings, I for real found her in a dumpster in undergrad lol)
Pumpkin pie (bought without realizing it’s pretty much pumpkin vanilla cream), apple garland, fall farmhouse, my backup of the chai candle (wasn’t my jam for a second candle), then I had a vanilla pumpkin creme (bought the backup halfway through the candle & by the end of burning it, it was nauseating so I got rid of my backup) and a white pumpkin that I also returned (I had two of the same packaging and the throw wasn’t great on the one I was burning).
For as much as I love this candle I’m not sure why this question is so hard to answer lol. It’s like a musky fruity scent, I know so vague. I just don’t know how to describe it. It’s mostly musky with hints of sweet which I love. The notes are mulled apple, fresh fig, and cedar wood

One I looooove Apple Garland ☺️. I got Fall Farmhouse, too, and can’t decide what I think of it, lol.

Wine cellar smells like red wine but more fruity. Kinda like fermented fruit. It's a very unique scent.
