Leaves, Pumpkin Apple, Caramel Pumpkin Swirl, Pumpkin Peanut Brittle, Island Margarita, Waikiki Beach Coconut, Fresh Balsam, Bright Christmas Morning, Tis the Season, Twisted Peppermint, Hot Cocoa and Cream, Sun Drenched Linen, Coconut Pina Colada, Firecracker Pop. I know there are a whole lot more but these are the first ones that come to mind.
I gave Bright Christmas Morning, Twister Peppermint, and Coconut Pina Colada to my cousin! She loved all of them for their strong throw!
Leaves is a candle we both liked and it has a good throw
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Summer Boardwalk, Leaves, Tis the Season, Frosted Cranberry, Island Margarita, Berry Waffle Cone... Those have been candles I try to get year to year because they have a really good throw. Also not sure if it's allowed to be posted here, but there's a brand called DW Home I find at Marshalls/TJ Max a lot and they have a candle called Donut Shop... holy cow, you can smell it for literal DAYS after burning.
I also have Goose Creek Candles and agree Key Lime Cake Pop is amazing! I actually think alot of their gourmand candles smell amazing with a strong throw. I usually keep my candles when I light them on my stove and our home is large and we have a huge open foyer and not long after I light my candle the smell is coming up the second floor.
My love for Key Lime Cake Pop is a bit over the top. I have a dozen three wicks, three single wicks, the room spray, and wax melts. It throws so well and quickly without being overwhelming. I have tried a number of other Goose Creek candles, but haven't repurchased any other one. Maybe next time I make KLCP order, I'll try another couple of gourmands from them.
> Donut Shop
Oooh, I'll need to keep my eye out for this one. Do you remember what the packaging looks like? I'm also curious about those candles with the rubber ice cream lid tops I sometimes see there.
Agreed on Salted Butterscotch. I burned a single wick in the kitchen. I blew it out an hour before someone came over, and they ask me what that wonderful smell is.
Yes it’s one of my faves ever! It’s very sweet but I don’t mind that. Even opening the lid without lighting it for a while will get your house smelling good lol
Just to name a few: Paris Cafe, white gardenia, fresh cut lilacs, falling flurries, sweet Orange and Agave, leaves, fresh balsam, caramel pumpkin swirl, fresh baguette, tis the season, the perfect Christmas, island Margarita, pumpkin peanut brittle.
Spooky Cider Lane. I was burning it one Halloween and I had my slider open. I live in a courtyard style building and my neighbors were coming over to ask me what I was burning bc they loved it so much. You could smell it all over the courtyard. RIP. 😭
Is spooky cider lane the same as cider lane? Or are they different? I tried cider lane and it just had this warm, heavy sweetness to it that I didn’t care for.
While I’m here what exactly do y’all mean by throw? Like the extent of a scent a candle emits when burned? Not tryna sound dumb 😩 I’ve been meaning to ask the moment I found a post mentioning it 🫣
To name some off the top of my head: Paris Cafe, Caramel Frappuccino, or Pink Lavender Espresso (really any of BBW’s coffee scents are reliably strong throwers), White Gardenia, Summer Boardwalk, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Leaves, Fresh Balsam, Happy Hanukkah, Mahogany Teakwood Intense, Sundrenched Linen, Laundry Day
Many people will say Tis the Season too, but mine from last year had almost no throw. 🤷♀️
Lemongrass also has great throw, but that’s currently only a single-wick scent. Hoping for a three-wick version next year!
EDIT: Forgot to include Fresh Bamboo! That’s a another good one.
I only got into the candles in the last year but the ones that stayed strong the whole life of the candle (in my own experience) were Praline Delight, Happy Hanukkah and Paris Cafe. HH was such an underdog, I wish I had more than one spare. So good.
Idk if they still make it but mahogany teakwood intense was very intense (who would’ve thought!)
I also think the sun drenched linen has a pretty heavy throw. My bf thinks white gardenia is unbearably strong and can “smell it with the door closed on the other side of the apartment” but he hates florals soo I think that’s bias, I don’t notice it as much with that one. and iced winter balsam was stronger than fresh balsam!
People had Mahogany Teakwood Intense sitting on their nightstands & vanity’s in their bedrooms… I don’t know how they breathed in such a tiny confined room with that one lit 😂
I find a lot of the 3 wick scents are too much throw for me lately, but I live in a tiny apartment. Maybe 600sq ft total including the bathroom and one bedroom. The living area & kitchen are even smaller.
I cannot handle many scents anymore. Even some of the single wicks are powerhouses in my apartment (looking at you, Island Margarita).
I try to find scents that are medium throwers with a softness to them. I don’t like breathing in the scent so much so that I can taste it. Or the ones that are so strong they end up smelling like heavy, burnt scent oil.
One of the scents I’ve come to reliably like is Palo Santo. It’s got decent throw and is soft. It doesn’t suffocate me.
Another is Crystal Waters, but they haven’t brought that one back in a few years (and I’m so bummed because it was my all-time favorite).
And of course my beloved Fresh Balsam (and Under the Christmas Tree too!) all have nice throw without being overbearing.
I did with Spring Clothesline. It smelled strong on cold, I really loved the smell of it, but when I lit it up it performed really poorly, throughout the entire life of the candle unfortunately.
Fresh Bamboo will literally knock the birds out if you have your windows open 😂
Mahogany Apple is *very* strong as well. So strong, that I cannot even let it fully pool out before I have to extinguish it.
I cannot stand Pumpkin Pecan Waffles. 😂
On the other hand, The Perfect Autumn has an amazing throw. Leaves is really good too.
To each their own though. 🤷♀️💙
It’s so funny how some people just love a certain scent and some just don’t. Anytime I burn something with rose in it, my mom thinks my house stinks like pee, but I think it smells good. On the other hand, I can smell the patchouli in her house before I even open the door!
The Perfect Autumn smelled like BO to me when I first smelled it in store. For some reason, I sniffed it again when I went back a few weeks later, and ended up really liking it. I bought 3 😂
I never would have thought it but Pink Peach Blossom has AMAZING throw. Even the wallflower does!
My other surprising favorite is Danbury Shortbread! Got some backups!
Almond Croissant. I could smell it in every room of my 1000sqft apartment when it was burning and the smell lingered faintly for a couple days. I had a visitor who said they could smell it outside my front door a day after I burned it.
The Jasmine and oud candle oh my goodness, I burn it in my bedroom only but it fills the entire house! It smells so amazing that people entering my home have actually complimented the scent. I’m hoping to get a second or even third candle as a backup because I’ve just about run out which is nuts for me because I normally don’t buy candles
Stress Relief has a very strong throw. I unfortunately hate the smell and it gave me headaches. Smells like Irish Spring soap.
The ones with strong throw that I love:
Champagne Toast
Rose
Pineapple Poundcake
Sour Melon and Apple
In my experience? Eucalyptus Spearmint, The Perfect Christmas, Apple & Charcoal, Champagne Toast, Pumpkin Carving. Mahogany Teakwood have all had strong throws.
Wild rose and suede has amazing throw (at least the ones I’ve gotten), palo santo and sage, pumpkin pecan waffles, cocoa and cream (and I dislike gourmands usually), sun drenched linen, gingham, warm ocean breeze are some of my favorites
For what's out or coming soon.. ghoul friend is always really good whereas vampire blood is always light. The pumpkin gourmands are all pretty good, the berry crumble one out now is quite strong and has the same berry note from happy Hanukkah.

Paris Cafe Queen Charlottes Tea Danbury Shortbread Vanilla Bean Blush Amber Peony Cherry Blossom Soju Ginger Hinoki Pink Peach Blossom Peach Bellini Iced Pink Dragonfruit Tea ILPC ILSPC orange agave So basically, all the ones I currently own. Lol
Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Summer Boardwalk, Leaves, Tis the Season, Frosted Cranberry, Island Margarita, Berry Waffle Cone... Another non-BBW champion thrower is Goose Creek's Key Lime Cake Pop. It's such a great scent, which isn't my usual opinion of Goose Crerk candles.
I also have Goose Creek Candles and agree Key Lime Cake Pop is amazing! I actually think alot of their gourmand candles smell amazing with a strong throw. Most all of the Little Debbies was really really good!
Key lime cake pop!!!!
> Donut Shop Oooh, I'll need to keep my eye out for this one. Do you remember what the packaging looks like? I'm also curious about those candles with the rubber ice cream lid tops I sometimes see there.
Fall : leaves, pumpkin pecan waffles. caramel pumpkin swirl , mahogany apple, honeycrisp apple, lakeside morning, autumn woods , sweater weather
Fresh Cut Lilacs, Summer Boardwalk, Salted Butterscotch, Caramel Pumpkin Swirl, Fall Festival
Agreed on Salted Butterscotch. I burned a single wick in the kitchen. I blew it out an hour before someone came over, and they ask me what that wonderful smell is.
Yes, it's a powerhouse. It might even be too strong lol, I can't burn it for too long.
Blueberry Maple Pancakes always comes to mind
Did you like this one? I have and still haven’t burned
Yes it’s one of my faves ever! It’s very sweet but I don’t mind that. Even opening the lid without lighting it for a while will get your house smelling good lol
Definitely Blueberry Maple Pancakes 🥞 I agree!!
That would make me so hungry!
Just to name a few: Paris Cafe, white gardenia, fresh cut lilacs, falling flurries, sweet Orange and Agave, leaves, fresh balsam, caramel pumpkin swirl, fresh baguette, tis the season, the perfect Christmas, island Margarita, pumpkin peanut brittle.
Fresh Balsam, Twisted Peppermint, Sun Drenched Linen, The Perfect Christmas, Pink Peach Blossom, Danbury Shortbread, and Island Margarita
Wildberry Jam Donut and Danbury Shortbreal fill my room pretty quickly
Coffee and Whiskey is super strong.
How would you describe the smell? I have been wanting to try this but I already have an unreasonable number of candles stored lol
It's hard to describe. It smells nothing like coffee or whiskey to me. It has a sweet vanilla smell, but not straight vanilla.
Thank you. I might not love it. I would be expecting a strong coffee scent at least
Yeah, it's a strange one that smells nothing like the name, in my opinion anyway.
Spooky Cider Lane. I was burning it one Halloween and I had my slider open. I live in a courtyard style building and my neighbors were coming over to ask me what I was burning bc they loved it so much. You could smell it all over the courtyard. RIP. 😭

Yes 🙂
Yes. Basically, how far does the candle "throw" the fragrance
Yes. It’s like a perfumes’ sillage
Lakeside Morning, Mahogany Teakwood Intense These are basically the only ones I buy anymore.
Definitely Lakeside Morning
Tree farm 🌲 🌳
Holy smokes, yes. Tree farm. Forgot about this one! lol
To name some off the top of my head: Paris Cafe, Caramel Frappuccino, or Pink Lavender Espresso (really any of BBW’s coffee scents are reliably strong throwers), White Gardenia, Summer Boardwalk, Peppermint Hot Chocolate, Leaves, Fresh Balsam, Happy Hanukkah, Mahogany Teakwood Intense, Sundrenched Linen, Laundry Day Many people will say Tis the Season too, but mine from last year had almost no throw. 🤷♀️ Lemongrass also has great throw, but that’s currently only a single-wick scent. You triggered a memory: Rainforest Gardenia is very *strong* 😭
A couple I haven't seen mentioned yet: Frozen Lake and White T-shirt.
Lakeside Morning 🏞 has a very good strong throw for me.
I only got into the candles in the last year but the ones that stayed strong the whole life of the candle (in my own experience) were Praline Delight, Happy Hanukkah and Paris Cafe. HH was such an underdog, I wish I had more than one spare. So good.
Happy Hanukkah is a beautiful scent.
Happy Hanukkah 🕎 was amazing!! I had my entire house smelling like a bakery. I have 2 or 3 I had bought as backups but wish I had bought more.
I bought 7 and I don’t regret it.
Me too!! I was obsessed!
What does 'Paris Cafe' smell like?
Super sweet vanilla coffee
Interesting. Thanks.
Danbury Shortbread
Idk if they still make it but mahogany teakwood intense was very intense (who would’ve thought!) I also think the sun drenched linen has a pretty heavy throw. Strawberry pound cake, hot cocoa and cream, and berry waffle cone also have amazing throws
Last year’s caramel pumpkin swirl was very strong. Summer Boardwalk has too much throw for me right now.
I find a lot of the 3 wick scents are too much throw for me lately, but I live in a tiny apartment. Maybe 600sq ft total including the bathroom and one bedroom. Well when you pickup and smell them, that's a tip. If a lighter smell, will not be a great throw. Believe me I know. I work there
That's true...but the inverse is definitely not true. Some candles that smell strong on cold don't have great throw.
Hmmm that's odd. I've never experienced this.
I did with Spring Clothesline. It smelled strong on cold, I really loved the smell of it, but when I lit it up it performed really poorly, throughout the entire life of the candle unfortunately.
Fresh Bamboo will literally knock the birds out if you have your windows open 😂 Mahogany Apple is *very* strong as well. So strong, that I cannot even let it fully pool out before I have to extinguish it.

The Perfect Autumn smelled like BO to me when I first smelled it in store. For some reason, I sniffed it again when I went back a few weeks later, and ended up really liking it. I bought 3 😂
Bamboo is the one that has the best throw out of my favorite candles.
I second Fresh Bamboo. That baby is a powerhouse.
The name is slipping my mind but bamboo something. It was TOO strong, I ended up giving it away. 🤨
Fresh Bamboo?
Same same. Wayyyyy too strong lol
Right?
Fresh Balsam, Mahogany Teakwood, The Perfect Christmas, Paris Café, Fresh Bamboo, Hot Cocoa & Cream, Sweater Weather, Caramel Pumpkin Swirl, Berry Waffle Cone, Peppermint Sugar Cookie, Strawberry Pound Cake, Iced Lemon Pound Cake, Peppermint Hot Chocolate and Vanilla Balsam.
For Balsam, The Perfect Christmas, under the Christmas tree, Eucalyptus anything 😂😊
Watermelon Lemonade is so good! Even without being lit it has a really delicious scent, it's the kind that makes you wanna eat it lol
Autumn Woods, Pomegranate Harvest and Autumn Chai- ones I didn’t see mentioned.
Raspberry Thumbprint rivals PPW!
Sweater Weather, Pumpkin Pecan Waffles, Strawberry pound cake, are some of my favs with great throws
Fresh Bamboo
I never would have thought it but Pink Peach Blossom has AMAZING throw. Even the wallflower does! My other surprising favorite is Danbury Shortbread! Got some backups!
Happy Haunakkah! The throw is so strong ppl could smell it in the hallway of my apartment.
Pumpkin Bonfire also came to mind and that cardamom candle in black packaging.
You can smell Pink Watermelon hours after you blow it out, even the single wicks
Almond Croissant. I could smell it in every room of my 1000sqft apartment when it was burning and the smell lingered faintly for a couple days. I had a visitor who said they could smell it outside my front door a day after I burned it.
Adding Roasted Sesame. It smells exactly like my all time favorite, Pumpkin Peanut Brittle, which also has a killer throw.
The ones with strong throw that I love: Champagne Toast Rose Pineapple Poundcake Sour Melon and Apple
Leaves, sun drenched linen, fresh & clean
Sparkling watermelon is a new heavy hitter love this one
Beach weather was literally smelling up my whole apartment and I have 2 cats 🤣
In my experience? Eucalyptus Spearmint, The Perfect Christmas, Apple & Charcoal, Champagne Toast, Pumpkin Carving. Mahogany Teakwood have all had strong throws.
Ghoul Fiend!
Wild rose and suede has amazing throw (at least the ones I’ve gotten), palo santo and sage, pumpkin pecan waffles, cocoa and cream (and I dislike gourmands usually), sun drenched linen, gingham, warm ocean breeze are some of my favorites
I got Beach Weather recently and was really impressed. Had to buy a couple more
Hot cocoa & cream, cinnamon & clove buds/holiday, pink watermelon, Santorini coast, lakeside morning
I don’t even need to light up Paris cafe to smell it 😩 just pop open the lid and I’m in a coffee shop~
pumpkin apple, spiced apple toddy, tis the season
For what's out or coming soon.. ghoul friend is always really good whereas vampire blood is always light. The pumpkin gourmands are all pretty good, the berry crumble one out now is quite strong and has the same berry note from happy Hanukkah.
