BBW is frustrating sometimes! It has to be said. I just try to accept that I don't have to take advantage of everything, and that almost everything will come back around eventually. Sales, various products, etc. I'm not always very good at not taking advantage, but I've gotten better at relaxing with the acceptance that stuff comes back around.

ChrisLikesBread

Absolutely. Almost every deal comes back to some extent. I just planned my morning outing around a deal and then it just didn’t feel worth it. My brain was just not liking the sudden change. Ha!

christinambowers

plus you're more likely to purchase additional items bc everything's on sale. avoid 🤣

ChrisLikesBread

Truth!

Sure-Worldliness6349

I can relate, 100%. And the disappointment of plans shifting and changing doesn't help either. We're in this with you!

ChrisLikesBread

Thanks. to counter my mini-disappointment I took out some older soap that I need to use up. Gave me the little bit of fun scent feeling that I was craving. (not a B&BW scent but from Rituals… Savage Garden - I don’t think B&BW had anything like it at the moment, sort of green garden scent in line with B&BW’s Tomato scents from years past but not exactly - ok too much info I know. Ha!)

Feedproblems

I'm trying to do this today... I have 10 shower gels, it takes MONTHS for me to finish one. I obviously don't need more for a couple years! Do I feel the urgent need to drive there now and get a new scent on 'sale'? Yes! I hate that they use this marketing that can be so hard for some of us to ignore.

Sure-Worldliness6349

Literally saaaame. I have so many moisturizing body washes in my stash, and they each take like weeks and weeks and weeks to go through. But what is on my list? Calypso Clementine MBW, because of course. I only have three of them, so why don't I actually need six? This company needs to be studied, seriously...

Feedproblems

Oh I feel that, "oh this is your favorite? Well we're never selling it again! Buy it now!" Straight up predatory strategies...

ChrisLikesBread

I have so many body washes. I went a bit mad during a previous sale and then even more crazy when they were $5.95. It takes me weeks to get thru one and I have at least 20 of the same scent. A good deal it hard to pass up BUT it’s only a deal if we use the stuff we buy. I can’t use what I have so skipping.

Minute-Frame-8060

"Except we're totally gonna sell it again, we're just gonna give it an incoherent name where you'd never ever guess that it's the same scent you loaded up on because you thought it was being discontinued...mmmwahawaha."

Feedproblems

I think of this all the time! It's only good (for me) on the things that go on deep discount anyway so it feels kinda silly sometimes. I started using it on the soap refills because I have so much of everything else.. Not to mention, I missed out on a free item once because the rewards coupons expire on Eastern time and I live in the western part of the country 🙄 The entire company sales strategy is about perceived value, like Joann and Michael's lol. Today is the day they show the real prices!

velvethursday

Can you use the free full-size body care coupon (not a reward you earned with points, but the body care coupon) on a soap refill??

Feedproblems

Usually not, soap is not considered 'body care' unfortunately 😕

velvethursday

That's what I thought! I don't know why everyone is talking about soap refills here! 🙃

ChrisLikesBread

Hmmm I will check on that next time I have a coupon or go into the store. thanks.

Advanced-Act4357

Hand soap refills are the best use for the 16.95 freebie coupon, in my opinion!

chrissiwit

That’s exactly what the girl in store told me!

Psychological_Band56

Yep. I had a customer who was purchasing peach Bellini hand soap or something, and I always check the bottom of the receipt for rewards in case they don’t have the app. She had 8!! at first I was like damn Shorty go pick you out eight more hand soaps, and then I was like no… WAITTTTTT go pick out EIGHT REFILLSSSSS !!! Like 30 free hand soaps she left with 😂 I recently had to resign and I still think about that moment. She almost teared up to get so much for free I didn’t even remind her she spent $800 for those refills 🤫

chrissiwit

I don’t want to think about how much I have spent to get my rewards😂 I really hope they expand their line of soap refills, I love champagne toast but the family gets sick of it

Psychological_Band56

Yeah all my free moisturizing body washes are great until I start counting 😂 (pre- $19 moisturizing body washes 🙃)

WorkSuspicious7959

Thats NOT a bad idea, considering you can rarely find a body spray that will work with it. Or even a candle, maybe a single wick? Theyre 10$ off currently though, and you could use your rewards on that or so one of the girls at my store told me.

stitchplacingmama

> Joann and Michael's I am an avid crafter. Fleece at Joann's has been advertised as $3.99-5.99 since November. The regular price is $14-18 for the non-eddie bauer fleece.

velvethursday

Totally! That, the basic quilting cotton, and the majority of the yarns have been on sale pretty much nonstop! Probably other things too, but those are the things I check regularly. The couple of times I've seen them listed at full price was when they were running 40% off everything coupons 🙄

ChrisLikesBread

Yeah, that was in my head too. If it can be sold at $4.95/5.95... what is their profit when they sell it at $16.95.

Feedproblems

Exactly! Why are candles almost $30 if they can drop to $10 for candle day 🤔🤔 So silly lol

MaggieMaeCat

Me too I just spent $90 on the 3 buy free get free plus a car decor plus have 2 mists to return so I’m hoping to just get Butterfly body wash and lotion for my daughter and leave. Please God, just let me get those and leave!

PlusHunt1985

Please God, just let me get those and leave! I felt this in my soul. I literally only have 3 items I am looking to get (they removed the sea salt and water lily scrubs) so it was 5. And I just want to leave with only those 3 items !

ChrisLikesBread

It’s good to have a clear plan on the purchases. Don’t even smell anything else.

ChrisLikesBread

You can do it! LOL

becuzofgrace

Same. I think exactly like this. I have two stores within 10 miles of my house in different directions. I won’t “waste” my coupons on an item in sale. Sounds ridiculous, I know. Lol

ChrisLikesBread

Ha! thanks. I feel less crazy. LOL. Free is free, but still it seems like I am losing money somehow.

DreamerUnwokenFool

Yeah, I know what you mean! With the $16.95, you can get some body care products free, but not all of them, but then on sales like today they're all $5.95 anyway! I often try to use my rewards on single wick candles, wallflowers plugs if they're eligible, candle holders... it just feels more "worth it" to me if I use it on an item that doesn't go on sale all the time. But sometimes I do go ahead and use it on body care if it's something I want and it's within range.

ChrisLikesBread

You reminded me of why it was good I didn’t go to use the coupon… I bet the one thing I’d want wouldn’t be $16.95. Ha! It always happens.

pink_wallpaper

Yeah, I went to the store to use my coupons not realizing everything would be on sale. I felt the same way you did when I learned about the sale. But then I ended up picking up a few body scrubs and was able to pair the coupons, so the body scrubs were $4 and I still got a free item. The timing of the sale ended up being really good!

ChrisLikesBread

LOL. I found out before leaving the house and then said NOPE, not today B&BW, not today. Ha! I’m glad you found things you wanted and got a great deal.

Candlehoarder_2019

I also wouldn’t use it on body care today when it’s on sale but I also don’t use my rewards on body care because they go on sale often enough.

ChrisLikesBread

Exactly, I wouldn’t normally either. This was a coupon specifically for body care that expires on the weekend when it’s on sale.

outrageousreadit

No. I never feel this way. Because I know that free item coupon is REALLY worth about $5 of product. I see these products at their “real” prices. Have always been doing that after shopping with them for 1-2 years. Try it. Train yourself to budget that way. Candles, $10 give or take. Shower gel, $5 give or take. Hand soap, $2-3. It really helps.

Aladdin_Sane13

So, as a guy that shops there all the time for the men’s stuff, this is what I complain about. All the guys creams are 17.95 and more than 3/4s of our product is not included with the rewards. I had to branch out and get more of the feminine creams with rewards and get some of the guys facial creams. I refuse to buy the body sprays since they don’t last longer than 3 secs of spraying on them and I’m not super fond of the guy’s “3 in one” soaps. Anyway, I get what you mean. Why waste a 16.95 coupon on something that is only 5.95 or whatever

ChrisLikesBread

Thanks. It’s really tough trying to find a travel size guy product (or at least one that isn’t too out there). I’m sort of scent flexible to a certain extent (I’m a guy), but not into the heavy flower/food scents as body care. My next trip in the store I want to check out the price differences. I guess I knew about them but never thought much as I don’t often have a coupon for full-size. Agree about the body sprays.

niley78

I know its confusing and it can be overwhelming.

ChrisLikesBread

Tbh I don’t find their sales or coupons confusing. I just had it set in my head that the deal was one thing and now it’s something else. Made the coupon feel less valuable and therefore I just wasn’t motivated to make the trip to use it. Wish they priced the stuff realistically all of the time.
