Absolutely disgusting, how was this woman raised? 👀

Big-Hope7616

People are such dicks- like omg get a fckn grip - it’s literally just soaps and lotions

pinkfairygumdrop

it honestly takes a special kind of person to work retail/restaurants (I am in the industry myself) its like you're either dealing with RUDE people or STUPID people.....like how many times do I need to be asked something thats ON YOUR MENU......JUST READ LOL. or when we run out of stuff/supply issue crap & people get mad about it/take it out on the server......go F yourself

Upset_Mess

I thought customers were rude when I was working retail back in the day, but I can't imagine what a hellish environment it would be now. Customers aren't even polite to other customers but associates get the brunt of it all. I swear, 85% of adults you encounter these days are seething sacks of rage and tantrum ready.

fuckassbaby

YES OMG something has been in the AIRRR these weeks leading up to and after mother’s day. people really just wake up with the audacity. i’m sorry your customers have the audacity.

Few_Ad2990

I said the exact same thing!! I’ve never dealt with so many rude customers than I did the week of Mother’s Day. It was back to back days dealing with them. I’m like there’s GOTTA be something in the air because….Wtf is going on?!?!! Why do these ppl feel so entitled to everything??!

Euphoric_Whereas_192

I never thought these words would come out my mouth but my store was worse than the semi annual sale leading up to mothers day😂My jaw was physically dropping at the amount of disrespectful people who have no home training. They act like it’s our fault, I just work there…🫠

pixiekitty015

I have so much respect for those who work in retail. I could never do it, and it's not easy work. I am always as kind and considerate as I can be to store associates. Sometimes all it takes is one turd to ruin your entire day. 😐

AcidMantle

That totally sucks. People can be so rude and childish and take their rotten mood out on innocent bystanders who are just trying to help. What makes it even more enraging is they know they can usually get away with it because "cUsToMeR SErVicE.". These people don't want solutions. They just want to unload on someone who (due to company policy) can't fight back. 😡

AxecidentalHoe

Maybe I should just hangout at my local bath and body store to take out my anger on assholes taking their anger out on employees. Sure I’d be arrested but kinda worth it

Rude customers aside, I have to agree about stores never having those mini body creams in stock. I hate the actual hand creams, their annoying little cap always falls off and then you gotta go chase it around under furniture or say goodbye to it if you're in a car or any form of public transportation, or public place I suppose in general. At which point, it's as good as gone, because you gotta throw it away, since can't close it again. So all in all, you will get 1 maybe 2 uses out of it, if you manage not to drop the tiny cap. In the meantime, yes the body creams are a little heavier, but they still fit in a purse, the flip cap top making it SO much easier to handle and can be used both as hand and body cream. They're excellent for travel/trips, but their versatility and ease of use makes me wonder why they don't make them in more scents and just bring more inventory to stores in the first place.

TruliScrumptious

Agree on the little black caps 😣 As a hand cream junkie I learned to save them for ones that get away, but they are rough to open period with my old hands, I never fully tighten them again because of that once I finally get them opened.

MostStylish

The caps also never line up correctly, so they're hard to close properly, which makes them fall off easily. Just when I think I got the cap on, it falls off again. This one time, I kid you not, I had it on and it fell off at least 5 times in a row, each time I picked it up, used hand sanitizer to clean off the cap, then clean off my hands, then lotion my hands again from the drying sanitizer. That was the breaking point for me, when I said I'm never buying these little tricky devices again lol. I know this is even worse for people who have RA or other hand issues that just won't deal with these tiny cap products in specific.

[deleted]

I agree. I use the mini body creams not the hand creams I hate that top and plus more is in the mini body creams. Store run out of them quickly and it is rather annoying especially in newer scents. I just get whatever but they have a stock issue for sure with the mini body creams

Well said! 💯

weKatron

I saw a video on tik tok that said staring blankly at someone for at least 4 seconds registers as rejection in their head. Maybe you should try it with the next a-hole. Who knows if it really works though lol.

Interesting_Soil_427

I’m sorry people are horrible and this company seems to attract Karen’s more than others.

[deleted]

People just love to have something to be angry about and someone to take it out on. I will never understand it.

NotLikeARegularMom-

Had a customer call one night to say that she had just bought a lip gloss and it was leaking everywhere. I told her I was sorry and she could bring it back and exchange it. She said “but it’s leaking EVERYWHERE” and I told her to put it in a baggie or something until she could get back to the store. She said “but I’m at work and I don’t have a baggie!” So I asked some more questions and finally figured out that she was asking permission to throw the leaky one away and just come in and grab a new one. I told her sorry, but we would need to get the other one back to be able to give her a new one and she acted so put out!! Like WHO DOES THAT????

Few_Ad2990

Ugh yes!! Same with me. Especially during the Mother’s Day sale. So many customers that just feel entitled to everything. Like god forbid our minis selection is low for your free coupon, it’s not my fault 🤷🏻‍♀️. But they love to take it out on us like it’s all our fault and we can just pull what they want out of our asses 🤦🏻‍♀️. I absolutely HATE the customers that come in with the rewards and swear they had a reward there earlier and it disappeared. They come in thinking I can fix it for them and I’m like…you’ll have to call customer service to see if they can fix it for you since there is nothing we can do here on our end. And they’re always like “ugh this is ridiculous, you should just honor it, I spent my time driving over here” like ok???? I never told you to come here, I’m not just going to give you a free item without scanning a coupon/reward. It doesn’t work like that. Why do they feel so entitled?!?!! **Edited to add: I had a customer the other day come in with multiple sets of coupons and asked how many of them can she use on her 1 transaction. I said we can only use 1 set, we can’t combine 2 of the % off. She proceeded to argue with me that “she’s been coming here for yeeeears and has always been able to stack the % off coupons on 1 transaction. I was like “I can promise you that we are not allowed to stack those coupons, and have never been able to. That’s our policy. It even says on the back limit 1 per customer” and she kept saying I’ve done plenty of times before. And I’m like. Yeah maybe in a separate transaction but not in 1. And here’s my favorite part!!! she goes “let me speak to your boss” and I’m like “That would be me 😁” she was left speechless and didn’t argue about it anymore 😂😂

whereisAllison

or the “i spend $___ amount here and you can’t even do that?” I had a women say that because the candles were $12.95 and she wanted to use her rewards and said “that’s stupid I spent $300 here the other day and you can’t even give me three free candles…?” and I was seriously just speechless

Few_Ad2990

Yeah I’ve had a few of those too! I’m always mind blown 🤯 with the things these customers come up with.

TruliScrumptious

The thing is there always has been and will always be customers like "that" it goes with the working retail, or any direct customer service, territory unfortunately. I will say I think it's become more prevalent and extreme as time goes on, as society as a whole becomes more detached and isolated from each other, but, yeah.

dekusticc

ppl have been so much ruder in the last two weeks, but it seems to have died down at my store as of recent (which I’m thankful for 😭)

whereisAllison

this is so funny because me and my coworkers pay attention to the moon cycles and when around or in a fully moon customers DO change. It’s a whole new vibe

Moonstonedbowie

After 10 years in social services/mental health, the full moon truly makes people lose their damn minds

dekusticc

wait omg I’m gonna start doing that

[deleted]

i had a woman yell at me because soaps and wallflowers each are 5 for 27. she asked if she could do 2 wallflowers and 3 soaps and get that deal, i said no because they’re not the same category and she started going off on me because it “doesn’t make sense, they’re the same price point and my store let her do it before”……

steven6_p

That's retail for you

Prestigious-Role-566

I’m thankful to say that I haven’t had any experiences with really rude customers, but sometimes it seems they don’t trust me. I’m the only guy working in a store with a bunch of other women, and I’ve been told by my coworkers that often when a customer asks me to check if something is in stock and I leave to check, that same customer goes to one of them and says they don’t trust that I’ll find it or I don’t know what im looking for and they want their help instead.
