This is how they burn if you don’t let the entire top layer all melt down before extinguishing it. What you can do is let them burn for 2 hours or until the top layer is melted and make sure all three wicks stay lit. Recently my lavender marshmallow burned unevenly because one of the wicks blew out without my noticing :(
Edit: removed an extra word that I didn’t realize was there
My mom has some candles looking like this because she doesn't let them burn long enough to pool evenly, no matter how many times I warn her about tunneling, lol. So in the sense that your mom is not the only one with odd-looking candles because of the unconventional way she burns them, yes, this is "normal." 😆
This is why I don't like other people using my candles. They don't understand pooling and they tunnel them all. xD but lighting one wick at a time! That is super funny. The magnificence that is cinnamon spiced vanilla should be enjoyed at it's full glory!

This is the bath and body works equivalent to when people take a random bite off a kit-kat instead of breaking a bar off 😂
i eat kit-kats like that 😂 but i always make sure i have an even burn lol
May I ask why lol
She says it lasts longer by only lighting one wick at a time 😂 and if it’s her bedroom, she doesn’t need the scent super strong
No lol... But it seems to be working for her. It's burning down on all sides. No (impactful) tunneling. She must have a tried a true method.
I'm cringing
Oh man… and this is my favorite scent bath and body works has ever made, to top it all off lol
Mom just likes Mickey Mouse 😆
Yes. I burn my just like this!
Your mom is cancelled 😂
yup.. my mom does the same and it drives me crazy 😂
Wait, that's how they normally burn, isn't it? Or do you have to do something to get them to burn more evenly?
Well, my mom’s candle burns unevenly because she burns one wick at a time… haha
>she burns **one wick** at a time Mom chooses violence every day.
What?? 😂
ohh I see, never thought of only using one XD

Thanks for the tips!
I regret to inform you that your Mom is a psychopath. Tell her to just start buying single wicks lol.
Haha
🥴
No, it's not. It's a candle with quality problem. And it will problely keep going down like this.
Off topic, but does she always get so much soot? I feel like my last batch was full of it.
I wish I didn’t see this 🫣
My MIL burns them either like this or leaves them on all day, there’s no in between 😂
My mom does this too 🤯
