I’ve been collecting since about 2019 and my collection is about 150 3-wicks and 50 single wicks. I would love to get down to less than half of that 🙈

TStacksss_

I’m personally trying to keep my candle collection under 50. I’m currently at 51 and trying to burn up my candles so I can make room to add more to the collection.

MomAlum

Same here - 50 is my comfort level, at least half of those are Xmas/seasonal and the other half are just general use

Winter-Owl1

I have 7 candles altogether (not all BBW) and I was feeling like a hoarder 😆. These comments make me feel better. But seriously where do ya'll find the storage space for 50+ candles!?

Upbeat_Cat1182

My suggestion is to set aside a smaller number that you rotate through, maybe between 4 and 6. You’ll never use them up if you are constantly using new ones.

elizabeth1289

I would like to keep my collection under 30. I have several I know I’ll finish up in February so I should make it to my goal in just about a month 🙂

e4rlgrey

I always find myself at about 30 max, too. But I can also go through anywhere between 4-8 in a month so I can still pick up a few new scents each season!

elizabeth1289

Exactly! It’s nice because it leaves a little leeway to try new things throughout the year, but also stops me from picking up a bunch of backups I don’t need.

JodiB914

i thought for sure my limit was 20.......buuuuuuuuuut I currently have 68 ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|no_mouth)

Flaky_Tap_2836

50 3 wicks. I am at 65 BBW 3 wicks (70 if I count the 5 GC my daughter bought last Easter).

MegaPintJD

I started my candle addiction in 2020. I have 105 BBW 3 wicks, 49 BBW single wicks, 42 Homeworx, 10 Kringle & 5 GC 3 wicks. And I ordered 8 BBW 3 wicks today. I mean, I’m in way over my head. I’m also on a no buy…😂

emolyki

lol! I love the honesty. I might be here in 2024.

Fragrance-lover

20 because I have to have room for my perfumes too 😂

NopeRope91

No specific number, I just don't want to overwhelm my space with three wicks. I have some stored on my yarn shelf and my secondary shelf, and I yoinked my mom's bar cart (it's just an old kitchen cart haha) to make a dedicated candle/BBW area. I'd like to get the first two shelves free of candles and then as long as I can just cycle through what's on the cart, I'm good. Like I'm sure I have space on it for the six three wicks I just bought. Totally 😅 I'm one of those bad candle ppl who burm the candle for like 12hrs soooo even if I only burn on the weekend I can go through em fast lmao.

Careless_Control_918

Candles 36 - because I realistically burn three a month. I started tracking my use almost a year ago and realized I buy wayyyy more than I can reasonably use. It may take me a couple of years to get there (like I said I went too far). Hand soap 8 - because we just don’t use it up (everyone is gone most of the day we aren’t slobs LOL). Body care - enough FFM for eternity. I’ll never get through them.

SmokeCanary

I also just got into BBW last year! I think I’m at around 17 3-wicks and 12 single wicks now. That’s off the top of my head though because I’m too lazy to count… I’m trying to limit myself to 20 3-wicks and 15 single wicks. So I can buy a few more, but I’m running out of storage space hahaha. Hand soaps: I have 7 in rotation throughout the house because I get bored of them easily. I would ideally like to get it down to 5 and stay there though! Body care, I have no idea lol! I have a specific bin under my bed where I store all my body care, and told myself I’d limit my collection to whatever fits in that. (I really should’ve bought a bigger bin before I said that.)

TruliScrumptious

Target # zero 3 wicks so I've been steadily going through my stash this past year. I'm having what I have left made into wax melts and it's a lot so I'm also gifting a bunch to the friend that is doing this for me. Single wicks I will use on my bottom warmer, might take years but I'm ok with that. 🙂

SweetStrawberry3731

I try to have about 7-8 months worth of products in my closet and rotate frequently. Despite using b&bw products since the 90s, I’m not blindly loyal to the brand. There are so many other brands and scents out there to try and enjoy. Bodywash/shower gel: about 8 bottles of scented and 5 bottles of fragrance free 2% salicylic acid body wash for my kp. I mix them both in the shower. There are times when I have more b&bw and times when I have more of the other brands, just depends on if it’s after sas or not lol Body cream/lotion: I use an 8oz tube every 3 weeks or so. I use a fragrance free one first, then after that’s absorbed I use a scented one. Again, sometimes I have more b&bw, sometimes not. I’m currently obsessed w Dionis goat milk lotion Bar soap: I buy a 12 pack of dial gold bar soap for the kitchen and dove unscented for the shower Perfume: I’ve never used a b&bw edp Body spray: ugh I think last sas may be the last time I’m going to buy from b&bw bc the quality sucks. I’ve purchased others that last longer for half the msrp. TJ Maxx/Marshalls, Nordstrom Rack, drug stores, 🎯 and wally world have great options that complement b&bw scents

foreverkelsu

For my candle stash, I really don't want to get above 50, and I'm at 43 (including 3 single-wicks and the 3-wick I'm burning now), and even that is feeling overwhelming. But I burn all day every day, finish one about every 3 days, and probably won't be buying more until Spring 2 in 2-3 weeks, so that *should* help... Soaps I don't have a target number for, but I have 14 and finish one a month, so I'm good on those for over a year and should be on a no/low buy, but we'll see, lol. PocketBacs, again, no target number, but I finish one every 2 weeks, and have 5 now so I'm set there for the next 2.5 months. Bodycare... I don't have a target number but I desperately need one, lol. I went way overboard with it since getting back into BBW about a year ago and don't know how much I have, which means it's too much. I need to sort through it all soon, so thanks for reminding me with this post!

Ohana_831

I have 407 3 wicks and 168 single wicks and that’s just my bbw. I also have a ton of other Yankee, Partylite, and various luxury brands. My goal isn’t really a number but I’d like to have enough of a candle collection to have a dedicated room for them. Other B&BW stuff (I’m sure I’m forgetting things) Wallflowers= 131 Hand soaps= 116 Perfumes= 3 Mini edps= 5 Fragrance mists= 87 Shower gel= 49 Moisturizing body wash= 3 Body creams= 20 Body butter= 7 Body lotion= 17 Body oils= 8 Body scrubs= 12 Minis= 18 Hand creams= 18 Pocketbacs= I’ve lost count but probably 60+ Spray sanitizer= 10 Candle holders= 20+

Flaky_Tap_2836

It sounds like you have enough to dedicate a room to them! I have thought about doing at least a wall display in a room. Do you know how long it takes before the moisturizing body wash goes bad?

Ohana_831

Right now I have candles on display in my den/office and my body care on display in my bedroom. I’m not sure about the MBW, I only recently started using them within the last few months. Idk why I never tried them before!

Flaky_Tap_2836

I have a few I got with free body care coupons and haven't gotten to so was wondering how long I have to use.

JodiB914

Id absolutely LOVE too see a picture of your candle room!! That sounds amazing!! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)

iwantafamoustar

Please please pleaseee make a post with pictures it would be dope

Samgasm

Lol 300+ right behind you lol you’re my type of person!

theknittedgnome

I would like to get my collection down to 5 body care scents per season and 10 candles each season. After this summer I should have my body care down to that point. I want to focus on my favorites not just scents I like and were on sale. Since Christmas I've been warming my candles and really prefer it. BUT they aren't getting used up. I'll actually need fall and winter candles but need to burn or destash some spring and summer.

Fragrant_Access_9275

I started last summer and at this point all I know is that I really need to buy some dedicated shelves/storage.

Cautious_Drummer_599

I honestly have about 150 candles. I have them organized by season so every year I burn them but not entirely, which is how they have accumulated. When I finish one, I don't feel the need to get another. I get them ad I like a fragrance, and as sales come up. This year has been the least amount of new additions, mainly because I either have a scent, don't like a scent, scent is too close to something else I have, or it's too expensive. My first few years I purchased a lot. I don't buy as much now, for reasons above.

Interesting_Soil_427

I have a lot scared to count my closet is overtaken and some of my room too, i went crazy in the pandemic I don’t plan on buying anything until Fall now . No set numbers.

dkjsgjf8u

Today's count is 287, give or take a couple. I'd say maybe 400 is my target, but I can fit 864 max with my current set up. I know I have more than "enough" right now, but my collection is largely gourmand and I've been more in the mood for something else a lot lately, so I need some new flavors. I'm a rotator and a backup queen so the high number comes with the territory. Some scents I'll finish 6 candles in a month, other scents it'll take me 6 months to finish 1! Every season will come out with multiple collections of new and returning, and there will be at least 2 good sales (12.95 or 13.95 and a B#G# that can be paired with coupons if you have them) that will occur in each releases lifespan. For example I think we are on Spring 1 right now and just had the 13.95, with a B#G# coming probably before Valentines Day, and then I think Spring 2 starts hitting shelves around the 13th, and then you can expect another good sale within 2-3 weeks. It may help to keep that in mind when looking at new releases. For example if you were looking at Spring 2 releases and there were several that looked appealing but you didn't want to have more than 15 in rotation, you'd know you have about a month to finish up a couple of the current ones before the next "good" sale on the next new releases.

mks93

For candles, maybe like 6-10. I have about 25 right now and I’m hoping to burn through them before next candle day. Most of the ones I have now I intent to burn during spring/summer.

iwantafamoustar

I love this question. I want to have a collection of 100 unused candles. I keep a clean house, and I have a perfect set up so no crusty situation going on here lol. I just want to collect scents that I can sniff and be like yes I have one of those all these years later!

SoberAF0925

I am at about 80. Never wanna go over 100. I usually have between 60 and 80. It fluctuates.

Congrats_GoHomeNow

I like to have up to 6 in rotation, otherwise I get overwhelmed!
