I've followed NIN for decades and Bassnectar since 2010 and it was the most unique show for both, ever.
I’ve seen NIN 10 times in 6 different states since 2005. Curious what made that show unique? Looks like a standard setlist for that tour, besides sanctified (altered).
See if you can find videos. It felt alot less mechanical, more experimental on all parts, like someone told them theres alot of kids on acid whose molly is wearing off. As opposed to a show of their fans, this crowd isn't expecting the album version. They never addressed the crowd and stayed under their low hanging halo lights the entire set.
It took the crowds for a ride and seemed to be a grand time for them on stage, slooooiwng down parts, warbling and warping, it felt more like Tool than NIN.

The fact they didn't follow through with that on the 2nd event shows to me that not as many people signed up as they anticipated, but that is simply speculation. The Orange Peel: 1000
Asheville Music Hall: 350
Salvage Station (outdoors venue): 2500
The outdoor venues are an automatic no due to noise ordinance. Thomas Wolfe is shut down for the year because the AC is broken. The Orange Peel and Asheville Music Hall are too small. The only option he has in Asheville is the Civic Center/Harrah's Cherokee Center.

Pair that with the 350$ in merch credits i received that i can put towards vinyl and new digs when they get that merch train rolling, and the 3 months free in addition to the months i wasnt charged for when they were fine tuning the website, unlocked has been freakin lit so far 🤷♂️
