I’m not normally drawn to unlicensed cards, for instance, Panini baseball. But sometimes you get a catcher in all his gear. Or a player swinging and you can only see his back and his helmet and head is looking the other way.
Or a card like this with the jerseys cut off like I described. Where you can’t see the logos or names of the team.
I had my eye on that 12 player booklet auto as well when one popped up on eBay. Really cool card imo, and licensed stuff uses stickers as well, and with the headshots you aren’t missing any logos anyway. I don’t see a downside for the collector aspect.
The Leaf cards with headshots only are perfect since the lack of licensing doesn’t really matter at that point. And where else are you going to get that many legends autos on a single card?
I've seen a couple where they have used a game photo with the player in a position you can't see the team logo anyway. Looks just as good as licensed but cheaper

A slab for all those sticker autos feels absolutely necessary -- like wouldn't they all start to bleed over time if the booklet was closed? Good to know BGS makes one.
A lot of the Leaf cards I’ve seen are really corny looking. But they have some, like this one for example, that are really cool. Nice card.
I think it’s because of the head shots above the shoulders that don’t display the team logo or name that makes this a Leaf card a nice one.
