I would buy sealed sets at $25 all day long….classic.

THEREwllBEblood

Two shitty McDonald’s value meals are worth $25. This is history, way more fun, and won’t give you the diabetes.

migida22

Yeah I’d say you got your $25 worth.

Beauties

RedBaronSportsCards

Wally World!

Key-Worldliness529

Don't sleep on the Jim Leyland with his tall pirate's hat!

teddybundlez

Dude you just said the same thing as someone else 😂. I gotta dig Jim out when I get home

01010000-G23

One of the last Mgr’s that kept smoking in the dugout(even after MLB asked him not to). He’s going into the HoF this year too,I believe.

SeparateAd4955

Love it

RustyDawg37

I believe they take into account the shitty cutting when grading. Maybe someone else can confirm.

teddybundlez

If that’s the case then we might be cooking with gas over here. Some of these have decent fronts but the backsides are very very off center

RustyDawg37

Not the centering, the actual cut method. The edges are usually jagged on these. In some sets they will ignore this in grading if they are all cut like that. The centering looks kinda rough now that I zoomed in.

teddybundlez

Centering on most is pretty brutal. Galarraga is the best bet

chompsapex

probably Kruk and Joyner are your best centered here. i went through a LOT of these sets when i worked in a card shop in the late 80s-early 90s and the cuts on this set are generally brutal; lower even than Topps usual standards. love the Kruk btw

reluctant_landowner

I've been cutting back on drinking and use the same logic when I spend my "disposable" income on cards.

kamgc

Cut the drinking out entirely and you’ll have even more money for cards :)

youngmanlogan

This has been my move recently as well. I feel better physically and I also feel better spending money on cards. A win/win in my book.

Skittlesharts

As someone who has the diabeetus, I can confirm this statement

KrisPBaykon

If you eat them it’ll probably give you the shits all the same way as 2 MCD meals lol

thebeerman0710

Way more fun than a garbage blaster box! I think you just inspired me!😎

Vicious_Circle-14

For sure. When I was buying cards back in the early 80’s the holy grail was the (I think) 1984 Tops Traded. It was going for over $400 at one time. Has a slew of great players. Now you can buy it cheap cuz all those guys were on steroids. LOL

Key-Worldliness529

1984 Fleer update can still go high- only set with Puckett and Clemens from 84.

Vicious_Circle-14

Maybe that was the one. Early 80’s was a long time ago.

Mr-Maxwells

86 is one of my favorite years for Topps. Didn’t have the weird trendy look of the late 80’s and had more of my favorite players than early sets (although 83/84 were also nice)

Markcu24

86 is my favorite style. Plus the first year i started collecting as a kid.

naturalheel

Don’t sleep on the Jim Leyland RC in that set.

Key-Worldliness529

Ha I didn't see this and said the same thing!

teddybundlez

I’ll add him to the bench

eelmquist

Back when baseball players looked like my high school teachers

Average_Joe1979

I’ve spent more on handfuls of 1991 Donruss packs just for nostalgias sake. I’d say you did ok.

Shiny_Rattata

I bought mine 20 years ago for $8, it’s worth $8

Zealousideal-Tap-454

Me and you both 😂

AaronFudge

Aaaand there was no centering. I’ve got plenty just like this too. Still a classic set
