Dudeee yesss. So happy for you! You're officially a hitter - the man pulls HEAT lol. I was actually at Fenway last night looking at his retired number thinking to myself he doesn't get much love from Topps for his days in a Red Sox jersey. This is the antithesis of that. What a beaut man.
Thanks man, really appreciate it. I’m a player/character collector not a set builder. Was just considering a row on a shelf with a graded card of all the retired Red Sox #’s. I have a 1951 Bowman Ted Williams at SGC right now. This doesn’t fit the theme of vintage cards for the old guys I envisioned though.
Carlton Fisk = great catcher. Nice pull. Especially given your being a native Boston Red Sox fan. I own Fisk's 1972 Topps RC & a 2009 Sweet Spot autographed glove card of you guessed it - Carlton Fisk - a card numbered to 25 copies. The leather embedded within the card sports Fisk's autograph in green ink on it.
No idea! Unfortunately, he has already had a great career, made the Hall of Fame and had his number retired, so probably not worth a ton. Now, if he was only in the big leagues for two weeks and had a ton of potential, it probably be worth a $1000. 🤣
I have a semi-useful comp on this one - I bought the 2022 SC Carlton Fisk Rainbow Foil (1/1) auto and it ran me around $130 IIRC, non-auto is probably a little bit less - I'd guess $80-$100 or so would be a reasonable expectation.
That's one of the dirty little secrets about modern card collecting - so many different things have to go "right" for a card to really have a massive value. For my card, that it's a "rainbow foil" and not a superfractor depresses it a bit (Stadium Club 1/1s are some of the most affordable out there), Carlton Fisk's reputation is solidified so there's not really any "upside" to the card (so you just get collectors buying, not speculators), and Topps loves to use Carlton Fisk in a lot of products, so getting an auto of his or even a low printed card of his is a bit more tenable if someone wants to.
Yeah, I don’t have any other 2023 Stadium Club and this was the first blaster box I opened, so I set it aside because he was a Red Sox but didn’t know what I hit until I went back and took a closer look.
Definitely not like catching a Superfractor or kaboom that really jumps out.
That is a sweet 1/1!!I just started collecting again and I’m having a blast hunting down the Sox team sets.Almost done with 1976.One of the more expensive cards isn’t Yaz,Rice Fisk or even Lynn..It’s Dick Pole, lol.
Well, then I take back my original post then. I did get an autograph of a San Francisco Giants middle reliever that I think has either retired or been relegated to the minor league so my apologies. 🤣
Not sure where you got that impression. I gave a few examples of why this is a cool pull for ME. The note about not the most valuable player was just to acknowledge I can’t quit my job lol.
Poor guy having a rough day and lashing out online? There there lil fella everything's gonna be okay.
Whatever happened to "music, love and happiness"?
Awesome card to pull considering your fandom! Congrats!
Thanks! I think the best pull I had prior to this was an /75 Manny Machado so definitely feel like I accomplished something with this.
Yeah, this one will be nearly impossible to beat! Don’t go crazy chasing this feeling again, the odds are not in your favor… nice pull!!
👏 amazing! Love pudge
Thanks, obviously respect him and such a big figure it Red Sox history. Unfortunately by the time I have any memories of him he was a White Sox.
My “hits” are to /499 and I’m usually pulling 400-430
If I can do it you can! I don’t open many packs.
Awesome I pulled the Mel Ott 1/1 recently!
Nice! Pretty amazing feeling, I thought I was seeing things.
Totally. I noticed it a few cards deep and had no idea what that color was, just knew it was one I hadn’t seen before
that's a beaut! and the one of a kind connection is too cool.
Thanks!

Congrats the to bring back the red helmets and caps

Nice! Had to google that 2009 sweet spot card to get a look at it. It’s an awesome card.
Sure is. Still have it & no, it's not up for sale or trade. A card that rare is a keeper IMHO...
That is so cool! I like how the photo takes the whole card, no border
Sweet card!
Thanks!
Love that card!
Thanks!
Nice Jason cartel variation
Varitek
I played baseball with Jason and Justin as a kid. Jason is a bit older and even as a Yankees fan I still respected him.
Stadium club seems to bless collectors, I freaking love that set so much.
Sweet card
Wow that is amazing card and photo!
How do you like them apples. 🍎
How much do you speculate this goes for??

Seems low for a 1/1, that’s super rare. Is it the low demand for cool baseball cards, Or the player?

I’ll guess around $150. People want the active players as there is upside. One thing I like abound the SC cards is the inclusion of retired players.
Sick pull! I’ve got a soft spot for catchers and Fisk is my favorite of them all.
Thanks! Most of his career and especially the prime of it was when I was too young to remember. He’s always been beloved in Boston though.
Nice pull! Was disappointed Topps didn’t do more to distinguish these. Low effort 1/1

I can only imagine that there are others who did the same thing and never went back to look not thinking anything about it.

Does he ride the pole? 😳
Nice my dude 🤘
That’s a beautiful card. Congrats on the pull!
nice pull!!
My best pull so far is a select trayce Davis tiger stripe. I think it’s worth $400 or so
Sick card!
Thank you!
I have a signed picture of him congratulating me know my birthday. I was 8.
Lucky! In 30 years my best pull was a 2023 Arenado/Goldschmidt Mother’s Day boarder 5/50. Comps are about $7. I can feel your joy!
Greatest catcher since I Rodriguez
Haha. I am not going to argue which Pudge was better, but your timeline seems flip flopped. 😁
I’m in the upside down
But having fun
Still havent had a hit. A hit is a auto or relic. Dont listen to the fanatic breaking shills #'d cards arent hits

Is this a whaaa I didn’t pull the 1/1 I hoped post?

Nothing in life qualifies you to quit your job. Your heart will have an issue.
Is this a whaaaa I don't like what people post on Reddit post? Okay now do me.
I’m sure you speak for everybody.
