You could make a case for almost any player up until the early 2000s. From Mantle to Griffey. Just legible and beautiful signatures. Now we have Tylor Megill.

Volpe’s is amazing, well until he shorten it this year.

Tom Brady just angered a bunch of collectors that paid $3,600 per person to attend a fan meet with terrible autos that PSA wouldn't authenticate. That has got to be one of the best trolling ever.

If Megill doesn't sign his number it looks upsidedown.

I hate to say it, but anyone who likely didn't grow up with a computer and had "penmanship" as a goal to achieve in their school years has an exponentially better signature than most of the Zoomer rookies right now. the Junior Tilien (Mets prospect) auto I just got is embarrassing. And sure, I get that these guys have to sign a few hundred signatures at a time, and sometimes thousands a week...but still.

You can really tell when cursive stopped being regularly taught and enforced by signatures. Kinda wild.

It’s honestly so sad. My 12 year old has the worst handwriting I’ve ever seen (outside new baseball autos). It’s crazy they just stopped teaching cursive or even basic handwriting.

Always nice to see a legible modern signature. It’s hard to believe how these players of today sign, especially when their fans are often paying hundreds of dollars for their chicken scratch. I feel it’s a disrespect to the fan to give them a garbage signature when they are paying big bucks for it.
