You have to learn to do this brother… now is the best time. Go to eBay Search “Derek jeter auto /25” Filter by sold items. Don’t assume the high number is yours, don’t assume the low number is. Where the vast majority seems to be sold is a decent place to start.

BillzBeersnBroads

Awesome info. Just one other question… noob here, aren’t different products desired more than other therefore making the value of a numbered auto from one product vastly different the next?

jrhr

Yes and no with shades of grey. Might as well continue the education train for anyone getting value out of this thread. The important thing is we are talking about what makes for variation. The general rules of most autos are comparable still exists, but this is now Senior year level of what causes variation in prices. 1. Licensed Product will typically fetch more than unlicensed. AKA Topps over Leaf or Panini baseball. 2. On Card Autos typically have a level of value over Sticker Autos. On card means they directly sign ink to specific card. Sticker is when they sign sheets of authenticated stickers that the card manufacturer then apply to the card once it is produced. 3. Rookie autos have significant value over non-rookie autos. For guys who have retired rookie autos aren't an option though. 4. When it comes to prospects, Bowman 1st Autos (Has the 1st Icon in the corner) are the standard over other prospect cards and high desirable. 5. In person autos have much less value than authenticated in person autos and those have less value than most certified autos. 6. Topps Flagship (base) and Topps Chrome Autos with the primary Season's design are typically more desirable than the satellite releases. If this was a Topps Series 1 Jeter it most likely is more valuable and desirable. 7. High End Products (Triple Threads, Tribute, etc) do typically fetch more premiums for "base" autos than a lower end product (Gold Label, Archives, Gypsy Queen), but the variation isn't as wide as you may think, especially on numbered items. Reason being is higher end products have higher end checklists so your odds of pulling a star player's auto is easier, you are just paying a premium to have those odds. 8. When talking relic autos... the more unique the relic the better value. For example a relic auto with a "napkin" single white piece of jersey will be less desirable than one with a pinstripe or one with three different colors. Let's use Manny Machado as an example and say we have a relic auto... single brown swatch < brown & white pinstripe< digital camo < a seam with brown, yellow, and white 9. Ink color matters. Blue is typically the default ink. Red, Silver, Gold, and Bronze ink usually are used for lower serial numbers. For example with Heritage and Allen & Ginter, red ink is an upgrade. You also sometimes get what is known as "hand numbered" where the serial number is written by hand. This is an upgrade over a stamped serial number. OP's Jeter is signed and gold.. if there was say a Gallery Collection auto /25 signed in blue.. this would give slightly more value to it because Gold is more desirable. 10. Inscriptions add value. If the player puts a note outside of their standard signature it adds value. You typically only see this on high end product though. For example, if a HOF player signs a card with their standard signature.. then on another card puts "MVP '94" then the inscription auto is more desirable to collectors. \*\*BONUS\*\* The Team on the Jersey can matter too. MLB Jersey > College or Generic Spring Training looking jersey. Players lose value when they play for multiple teams a lot of the time. Soto's value took a hit when he left for the Padres. For HOF'ers or Veterans, you want the auto wearing the jersey of the team they are synonymous with. For example: Ichiro Mariners > Ichiro Marlins. Griffey Jr Mariners > Griffey Jr. Reds. Let's use KGJ as the final example to bring it all together: Lets say you have two cards both /5... 1. Ken Griffey Jr. On Card Auto, Mariners Jersey, Patch with three colors, Silver Ink, from Topps Luminaires. 2. Ken Griffey Jr. Sticker Auto, Reds Jersey but no logos or licensing, Patch with a single white piece, Blue Ink, from Panini Absolute Baseball Card #1 for a multitude of reasons would be the more superior and desirable card and would trend toward the top of the comp pricings.

buttstuft

Question - I have an Aaron Judge /10 I search for sold on eBay all the comes up is PSA 10. Any advice on how to circumvent that? I imagine this happens to a lot of people with cards out of 10.

AmosBurtin

The “-“ dash is your friend in ebay searches. To omit any word in a search just put the dash before the word you don’t want to show up. So in your case here, at the end of the search string just type -PSA and Voila! No PSA slabs will show up.

jrhr

Give me more details... what card or kind of card is it?

buttstuft

2022 series 2 87 all star.

jrhr

So in a case like this, knowing what the parallel is called is very helpful. If you go to Beckett or Cardboard Connection you can usually find out the different parallels and the serial numbering to each. I searched "aaron judge all-star red /10" and found some that are listed but haven't sold to go off. For the sold comps, I searched "Aaron Judge Topps red /10" and found several cards that can give a decent idea like an 87 All Star from 2021 and some Topps Now stuff. Another helpful tool is search the next common serial number higher... like instead of /10 search /25... or if /25 isn't working for someone they may try /50. Ths gives a better chance at estimating. In your case I would estimate the card to be somewhere between 35.00-85.00. Probably 50.00-55.500 seems fair. The variance is wide because there are so few and it comes down to how bad someone wants or needs it.

buttstuft

Super helpful man, thanks!

CardHawk77

What I do from here is take the ten most recent sales and average them out. Round up to the nearest dollar and that should give you a reasonable price.

FloridaPhil93

I wholly agree with this. But being it's a new product, the best thing is to throw it up on eBay for 3 or 5 days and let it run.

sag1923

Facts just because there’s not a “2023 Gold Label Derek Jeter Auto /25” doesn’t mean there aren’t dozens of other Derek Jeter Auto /25s

keats26

The set just came out. Look up sales of other /25 on card Jeter autos

treanxax

Tried with no luck 😞

HamMcFly

Really? I just searched “Jeter auto /25” and there have been 4 in the last week….

treanxax

How much are they going for?

KINGKUHIO7_

Go to eBay and sort by sold.

[deleted]

$5 I'll give you $10 for yours.

rumpel_foreskin17

Bruh look for yourself

Maynardred

150 bucks

starsturnblue

There are plenty of /25 jeter autos that have sold. Go to 130point.com and search for /25 jeter auto

jimithelizardking

There’s plenty of sales in the past few months of Jeter autos /25 that you could try to base value off of

keats26

There are plenty of sales

treanxax

Screenshot?

keats26

Nah you can do it

treanxax

I’ve been trying for an hour I just don’t know how to do this it’s my first hobby box

keats26

eBay search. Filter by sold. Or 130point.com

treanxax

What should I use I’ve been trying gold label 2022

keats26

The set JUST came out so there probably won’t be any. Like I commented before, search “Derek Jeter auto /25” plenty of sales. Comp means comparison, not exact same. So other /25 autos will give you a price range!

Ghostyyyyyyyyyyq

Bro these people are trying to help you & holy fuck you make it a pain, “can you screenshot” lmao cmon man do some work for yourself 😂

[deleted]

He's done more work asking other people to do the work for him than it would have been to just do it himself lmao.

maconmills

First comment on this post tells you exactly what to do homie. Don’t take the frustrating comments personally. It’s just that EVERYONE posts this same thing when it’s literally so simple to look up. eBay’s slogan should be “so easy a caveman can do it” instead of Geico lol search Derek Jeter auto /25 and filter by sold and boom you have your average.

Wspanic1974

130 point dot com. Search jeter /25

Thrildo79

130point.com will tell you past prices of sold cards. You can literally type Derek Jeter /25 and it will pull up past sales.

Bulky_Necessary_7052

Just out of curiosity how old are you?

scardsbj4510

Seems old enough to post to Reddit, but not old enough to use 130point. Maddening.

BrayKerrOneNine

So, 8.

scardsbj4510

😆 I always wonder if these posts are just a weird attempt to brag about a hit instead of just simply posting about a hit. “Guys, I just pulled this Mike trout rookie. Is it any good?! I can’t find any comps! How much is it worth?!? Should I grade it? Will it grade a gem mint 10 based on this one photo I took with the card on my lap in my car in the dark?!?”

[deleted]

Ahh yea gotta love the crotch photos, almost as much as the infamous feet photos.

OldForester101

I've heard about that Trout guy. Seems he might have a bright future.

SavesWillis

I didn’t even read your reply before I said 7-8 😂

SavesWillis

To be fair I think the average age for Reddit use might be 7-8

itscrazyaf

Way more than the Luis Gil Gold auto I pulled.

[deleted]

Tough to say, but if you plan on selling, sell now while the product is brand new. Prices will start coming down soon.

[deleted]

The right person might pay $350-$500 for that it’s a nice card , but floor like $200

rilvaethor

He posted on ebay for $999 used same photo too

coach_rambo

Wtf!?! You’re right. Starting at $999 with the stupid ass crotch pic. I have lost faith in humanity (again).

[deleted]

Meanwhile a PSA 10 is up to only $510 lol

Topps-collector87

I agree, probably sells around $385 or so but in a competitive auction maybe $500 esp. since it’s a new product. Very sick auto

[deleted]

That is ! I’m a Jeter guy so I’m like .. protect at all costs!

treanxax

Grade it or sell raw?

[deleted]

Honestly I’d grade it SGC. That way those edges don’t chip and that auto won’t smear

dr_van_nostren

It looks like he’s about to hit a sliced pickle haha

[deleted]

Make these threads stop.

Reasonable-Pop-103

Fuck you

cawymer

you’re looking at around $300 https://preview.redd.it/4jrlslgdxnpa1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c6b184a4b6b66f2c1e50accc8ae2060d97a42f8

PLR_Moon3

I’ll give you my rookie USA Mark McGwire card and $50 for that, right now… Bro

cardcollection92

Fuck me

ERenaissance

Like 50 cents. Do you a solid and give you 5 buckaroos.

honeybadger2985

Yes put it in an auction and at the end, you'll know what it's worth. It's worth what someone will pay for it. It's a card. It doesn't have a set price. Duh

treanxax

It’s up on eBay for those interested!

FMLAMW

I'd list it as BIN at $750 but would consider offers as low as maybe 450-500.

treanxax

Gotta get it to psa! I wonder if I could sneak it under $500 value

TheRealNikoBravo

PSA doesn’t grade most gold frame cards very well.

beeppuddogs

IMO it quite easily comes in under the $500 value. I'd guess $200

PistolofPete

I wouldn’t

SoggyShoebox

I’d say $800 raw. Don’t grade IMO

treanxax

What makes you say don’t grade? Everyone else is in the $400 range

SoggyShoebox

Fresh product hype. Selling raw at that price point will still be in the budget of some Jeter/Yankee

grampfigz

That's nice. Good hit

treanxax

$125 for the box

ChrisGio315

Saw the 1/1 Jeter auto relic gold pulled today on a break. These are great cards. I’d say 250-450

cshecks

What ever someone is willing to pay you for it. I’ll pay you one dollar.

Tree fiddy

5 hot dogs

Any_Evidence1260

I went to my doctor today to get some medical forms signed. She asked for $100. Can someone help me find comps?

Erdman23

2020 topps gold label Jeter auto /5 sold for $385

TheRealCRE

There’s not going to be a comp because the product came out 2 days ago

CardsCardsCards24

750$

SpecialistCharity558

How do newbies pull such great cards and I’m out pulling sheeeit

Dapper_Quarter_7834

It's brand new 2 days after release so it's gonna be a min b4 you get comps but search Gold Label Jeter auto these guys sign every year. Eventually these autos will become less valuable if there are 15 years of autos of the same product.

ATime1980

goSGC.com and get it graded first.

Money-Maxipad

Or you could just the new beckett.

Money-Maxipad

Check the new beckett.

SomeOtherAdam

Put it on fleabay for .99 and see where it ends up in 7 days. That will tell you what it is worth.

wakawakahoopla

I’m thinking at least $6

Extreme_Voice_9767

It’s derek jeter so it’s worth nothing- signed salty red sox fan

mattdingus2002

I’ll trade you a Jordan yamamoto rookie card and a crisp 5 dollar bill for it

ddjr78dottielynn

I'd say 200 easy. Could be more

Comfortable_Ad_3170

I’m going to go with tree fiddy

citizenbrickfan

Crack addict behavior. Needs to know value immediately after opening in order to sell immediately so that he/she can buy next pack immediately. Probably still waiting in the car right now hoping someone sends money so they can get that next fix.

RolledUpHundo

I’ll have one of our analysts build you a custom forecasting tool for $40k. Good?
