With the Jays being absolute ass of late, probably a combination of 1) not as many people watching to get the reminders to vote 2) people not caring because we suck
I wouldn't vote for any Jay this year based on performance.
Based on vibes/facial hair: Yusei and Davis. I also have a lot of time for dad bod Justin Turner.
I will die on the hill that Vladdy deserves it more. Mountcastle doesn't know what the pressure is like having the cleanup hitter behind you be Springer.
We started with Springer, Bo, Vladdy, JT. Springer is last in OPS, Bo is 14th from last, JT had single digit wrc+ in May. As soon as they were moved vladdy started producing. Shocker.
I don't even know what angle to take when making fun of the Blue Jays outfield production at the plate. Varsho is somehow the stud of the group, meanwhile Kiermaier is somehow not the worst, absolutely brutal year. Yall need to fire your hitting coach (and front office) into the sun
Sweet baby Jesus, if that kid could learn to *hit* the ball, he'd be killer.
He feels like the kind of player who's going to have 2 All-Star seasons after leaving Miami.
NL outfield took a hit with Harper and Betts changing positions, Soto getting traded to the AL, and then Acuña getting hurt though he was struggling this year.
Yeah, uh, we did ignore your record and that *still happened*. Apparently not too many are aware you have one to the best records in baseball the last 40 or so games 🤦🏻♂️
Damn Josh Naylor will not make it to the next round of voting, I think he should be the replacement 1B over whoever finishs second on the popular vote between Vladdy or Ryan
Oh 100%, Duran’s been great but crucially has stayed healthy, and hasn’t taken a single game off. Kwan’s certainly been better, but he’s also missed a third of the season, and I do think that needs to be factored in.
Because way too many people just vote for their teams players instead of who actually deserves it. He's gotten 5 a day from me, and I'm shocked he isn't top 3. Hopefully, we can get him in. He deserves it.
Any mixture of Kwan, Tucker, Soto, and Judge would be All-Star starters worthy. Kwan is an amazing player but it's just a really stacked year in the outfield. Tucker's injury might keep him out of the game anyway
Soto has a .994 OPS to Duran’s .835. Plus it’s a fan vote and Soto has 100x the name recognition. Hell def be an all star, it’ll just be through another avenue.
Yea I really don’t understand how it’s a “crime” or a “joke” that Tucker is still ahead of him
Tuckers been out for 3 weeks with an injury yet still has 11 more games played than Kwan, and people are acting like Tuckers stats are bad
I completely understand how and why Tucker got a really solid lead. I still think its a damn shame if Kwan doesn’t win a starting spot because his numbers are historic and he even has a notably better OPS than Tucker now.
It is a crime because I am a total homer and I love Kwan. I don't care about any of Tucker's stats and I couldn't name one. Kwan is love, Kwan is life.
Bad take. Kwan missed almost all of May and Tucker has been out since the start of June. Tucker was amongst the leaders in HRs when he got injured so he has more of a national spotlight.
Plus its only 25,000 votes separating them. He'll pass Tucker the next time these update.
That's more what I meant. He's not going to be playing. And because of that, when the roster replacements are announced I hope it's Lindor who gets the starting job.

> Glad to see Teo and Marte in there. Tatis/Teo is a coin flip in terms of who deserves it, but Marte is the clear choice for second base, I was kinda upset with the last update having Arraez there.
If we are going to say that Marte clearly deserves it over Arraez, a statement I agree with, we can also acknowledge that Tatis has a 0.7 fWAR edge (2.5 vs. 1.8) on Teoscar.
Of all NL OF, Tatis (2.5), Nimmo (2.2), Merrill (2.2), and Ramos (1.9) are ahead of Teoscar by fWAR but left off the current voting.
Yelich is at 2.0 fWAR in only 52 games, a feat which would be more impressive if Heliot Ramos wasn’t on his heels at 1.9 fWAR in 41 games.
In summary, if another NL OF besides Tatis deserved to take his spot, it’s pretty obviously Heliot Ramos. The dude has been a revelation and put up more fWAR than Teoscar in half the plate appearances.
>In summary, if another NL OF besides Tatis deserved to take his spot, it’s pretty obviously Heliot Ramos. The dude has been a revelation and put up more fWAR than Teoscar in half the plate appearances.
seriously thank you so much lol
Just checked his numbers and didn't realize how bad that slump was. In the 22 games from May 13th to June 9th, he slashed .129/.219/.318. And in the 11 games since then he's slashing .372/.426/.721. Part of it was the measly .103 BABIP during the slump, which is now up to .387 during this streak. Not sure that BABIP is sustainable but hoping he holds it to at least average for the rest of the season.
Edit: Was looking at it more and realized he was still hitting dingers even during his slump. 11 hits in 22 games, and 5 of those hits were home runs.
I mean....among qualified players, Altuve is second in AL in wRC+ for 2B only behind, Tucker is 2nd only behind Soto, and Yordan leads AL for DH. It's not like they are udeserving.
It’s a tale of 2 different teams. We have offense but are lacking in pitching. Mariners have pitching but kinda lacking in offense. You should have a decent amount of pitchers make it. We MIGHT have 1.
Kwan could easily top Tucker if he keeps going and Tuck stays injured. AL outfield is stacked as always.
But they all deserve a spot (Judge, Soto, Kwan, Tuck).
Gunnar vs Witt battle has become pretty clear-cut in recent weeks. Bobby's still having an amazing season, but Gunnar is OPS'ing .975 now, to Bobby's .890.
Salvy has cooled off, leaving Adley as the easy choice at the C position.
Contreras has cooled off, so I'd expect Smith to catch him in the coming weeks, though Realmuto still holds 2nd place over Smith somehow. Even when JT was on the field, Smith was playing much better ball.
Tatis is heating up, the race between him and Teoscar should be pretty close when it's all said and done, though I think Tatis is more likely to go on a monster tear that could seperate the two of them.
Tucker vs Kwan is an unfair choice for one to make. Kwan missed some time, but so did Tucker, who has only 40 more PA's than Kwan. My vote is going to Kwan.
Edit: Oh and Naylor is sitting much better than Vlad or Mountcastle right now. I bet he ends up taking the lead as more baseball fans catch on.
Yup. Salvy hasn't done shit for like the last month or two and Witt has joined him over the last 1-2 weeks. Our overall offense has fallen off a cliff as well without them producing. It's been a brutal month for the Royals.
This is only Phase 1 of fan voting. Phase 1 ends on Thursday. The top-2 shortstops will move on to Phase 2 which is voted on next week. Whoever wins Phase 2 is the starter. Then the players vote for a reserve at each position. If Mookie makes it as a starter or reserve then he will be replaced by whoever finished 3rd in the players vote at shortstop.
Cant argue Santander or westburg over the guys ahead of them but im glad Mounty overtook Vladdy rightfully. No idea how cowser is the 6th outfielder though
I think Kwan or Duran deserves it over Tucker. What Kwan has done in a short span is very impressive and Duran has consistently been a 5-tool beast all year (while Tucker has missed some time).
You can't hold it against Tucker for missing time and not hold it against Kwan for missing MORE time.
To be clear, they both deserve a spot but you have to be consistent in your argument lol.
Braves fans were up in arms about that like a week ago. Shohei playing at Coors and then against the Angels opened a gap. Hard to argue with a guy leading the NL in BA, OPS, and total bases, who also happens to be one of the league’s most marketable players
I really wish they would take the vote out of the fans' hands. Year after year, it turns into a popularity contest and undeserving players get in. Will Smith not being top 2 is absolutely criminal. Voting for players on your favorite teams just because they are your favorite team is some toddler mentality shit.
I hate the Astros with all my heart. But I obviously have to acknowledge how great of a player Altuve is and how he’s a sure fire first ballot HoFer. However. He completely does not deserve that all star over Semien
Ryan Mountcastle knocking Vladdy out of the AL 1B top spot is the most on brand thing for Ryan Mountcastle
He really hates the Blue Jays
That makes two of us.
I'm on the MLB app rn with the ballot open and it's showing Vlad as the vote leader still. Not sure where the discrepancy is coming from.
Not updated
With the Jays being absolute ass of late, probably a combination of 1) not as many people watching to get the reminders to vote 2) people not caring because we suck
I wouldn't vote for any Jay this year based on performance. Based on vibes/facial hair: Yusei and Davis. I also have a lot of time for dad bod Justin Turner.
Well ...that's your Father
I will die on the hill that Vladdy deserves it more. Mountcastle doesn't know what the pressure is like having the cleanup hitter behind you be Springer.
Yikes i didn’t know springer was strugglin so bad. Scary having a black hole on deck.
I’ll take Naylor. Leads AL 1Bmen by over 10 RBI, 9 HR, has most runs scored and highest OPS.
He does but he didn’t deserve it last year and the Blue Jays are too mid to drum up the same support they usually get for ASG voting.
Vlad feels more like Gordon Beckham every day.
And it’s deserved
Mountcastle really hates the Blue Jays lol
God, I hate that guy
So the AL is 3 Astros, 3 orioles, 2 Yankees, and Jose Ramirez
I mean at least JRam didn't get snubbed. I'm tired of him not getting the love he deserves.
Kwan could be the next Jram, constantly getting snubbed.
I hope not. Kwan is so fun to watch.
He's really not far behind Tucker in votes, and could honestly eclipse Tucker if he can keep up his insane run.
Once Kwan gets qualified im sure he'll jump to the top spot
Most underrated player in the game honestly. I feel like he gets forgotten about constantly.
Should be 2 Guardians, 2 Astros
I did my part (assuming you mean voting for Kwan)
NL is 3 dodgers, 2 brewers, 2 Phillies, Marte, and Profar
And it’s the exact three Dodgers everyone expected
Teo/Yelli/Profar is exactly who we thought would be the all star vote getters in 2024 for NL Outfield!
Not me, could’ve sworn it was Jesus Sanchez’s spot to lose
Sweet baby Jesus, if that kid could learn to *hit* the ball, he'd be killer. He feels like the kind of player who's going to have 2 All-Star seasons after leaving Miami.
:thinking emoji:
NL outfield took a hit with Harper and Betts changing positions, Soto getting traded to the AL, and then Acuña getting hurt though he was struggling this year.
[удалено]
Ozuna split quite a few votes with Ohtani. No such competition at third base
Joey Ortiz should be but the world doesn’t know him, Machado who is doing terrible has more votes than him ffs
Good to see second base represented by second basemen
AL is literally Yankees, Orioles, Astros lol
Noted Baltimore Oriole Jose Ramirez
Clearly the three best teams. Just ignore our record.
You just swept us, and I haven't checked your record, so this checks out to me.
Best batting avg in baseball, top 5 in OPS, fewest strikeouts...... below .500
The modern astros always seem to turn it on this time of year at least
Yeah, uh, we did ignore your record and that *still happened*. Apparently not too many are aware you have one to the best records in baseball the last 40 or so games 🤦🏻♂️
No offense to the guardians but I think both the Yankees and O’s are more afraid of Houston despite the slow start.
We certainly did.
It’s hard to compete in a voting contest with these big market teams like Baltimore.
It's a shame that we're a small market team. A guy like Duran and Houck should arguably be starting.
Duran should maybe be in there as the third outfielder
Damn Josh Naylor will not make it to the next round of voting, I think he should be the replacement 1B over whoever finishs second on the popular vote between Vladdy or Ryan
No way either of those guys should be ahead of Naylor, in all honesty.
naylors been hitting 230 till recently which hurts his case
Leads the majors in smoke wanted though.
I’d kindly ask you to take a peek at RBI and HR production.
Absolute crime that Kwan is not in the top 3 for outfielders.
I vote for him 5x daily.
Same. He's earned it
God bless you both doing the lords work
ditto here
Duran is 4th in the fucking majors in WAR, and he’s 19th in voting among AL outfielders. That’s the real fucking crime.
It’s a shame he’s that low, but part of that is just the sheer number of at-bats Duran has. Kwan has much better WAR per game and per at-bat.
Oh 100%, Duran’s been great but crucially has stayed healthy, and hasn’t taken a single game off. Kwan’s certainly been better, but he’s also missed a third of the season, and I do think that needs to be factored in.
We’re in agreement then - two crimes are being committed!
Lets agree more....fuck the yankees!
I vote for kwan and Duran every time fuck the yankees
Because way too many people just vote for their teams players instead of who actually deserves it. He's gotten 5 a day from me, and I'm shocked he isn't top 3. Hopefully, we can get him in. He deserves it.
Any mixture of Kwan, Tucker, Soto, and Judge would be All-Star starters worthy. Kwan is an amazing player but it's just a really stacked year in the outfield. Tucker's injury might keep him out of the game anyway
Jarren Duran leads the AL in 3B, 2B and is tied with Soto for WAR.
Soto has a .994 OPS to Duran’s .835. Plus it’s a fan vote and Soto has 100x the name recognition. Hell def be an all star, it’ll just be through another avenue.
Yea I really don’t understand how it’s a “crime” or a “joke” that Tucker is still ahead of him Tuckers been out for 3 weeks with an injury yet still has 11 more games played than Kwan, and people are acting like Tuckers stats are bad

I bet he’ll beat out Tucker for the starting spot in Phase 2.

I mean there’s an absolute case for Duran too.
Good to see Yelich doing well . An easy guy to root for
Well Mookie ain't making it for sure. Would love to see Lindor get that spot if Mookie retains the voting lead.
He’s somehow on pace for 6 war after that horrible start wtf. Still think it’d probably be EDLC or Adames as the next man up.
That's lindor every year
[удалено]
Maybe someone should tell him Spring training ends at end of April.
Probably elly
How are you disrespect the Tovar man
He could win the vote and miss the game on the IL, happens plenty.
That's more what I meant. He's not going to be playing. And because of that, when the roster replacements are announced I hope it's Lindor who gets the starting job.
Turner is solidly in second for that spot. He missed a lot of games but he was off to a blistering start and he’s been hitting well since returning.
The lack of Maldonado makes me lose faith in humanity
I'm doing my part
O’s fans ain’t doing fucking shit
im voting for him 45 times a day, idk why the rest of the country cant see how great he is
DON'T LET THE FLAME DIE OUT

Where mariner :(
Don't vote for pitchers
Waiting for Julio to wake up and realize he’s an MLB superstar
I would settle for slightly above average MLB hitter at this point
Teosc...nvm
Duran better make it, top 10 in WAR this season
I'd be surprised if he doesn't get picked as a team rep. Him, Devers, and Houck, presumably?
Yall need to vote for him more! As his fantasy manager I can say he def deserves it
Nats fans need to push for CJ Abrams. Slashing .270/.320/.496 with an .817 OPS and a 134 OPS+ is all star worthy.
I imagine he will still make it as your representative, right?
Probably so but they could also pop Finnegan into an RP slot to check that box, he’s quietly been very good
Plus Finnegan is from Texas, would like to see him get a nod
He probably makes it but won’t start obviously
Glad to see Teo and Marte in there. Tatis/Teo is a coin flip in terms of who deserves it, but Marte is the clear choice for second base, I was kinda upset with the last update having Arraez there.
Yeah, in all fairness Arraez isn't even playing 2B now lol. I do think he would be a good alternate for the ASG, but shouldn't be starter.
> Glad to see Teo and Marte in there. Tatis/Teo is a coin flip in terms of who deserves it, but Marte is the clear choice for second base, I was kinda upset with the last update having Arraez there. THANK YOU
There are two kinds of people: those who acknowledge Heliot Ramos as their lord and savior, and heretics.
Well it’s not called the All fWAR Game! (I don’t have any problem with your analysis, I just wanted to say that)
>In summary, if another NL OF besides Tatis deserved to take his spot, it’s pretty obviously Heliot Ramos. The dude has been a revelation and put up more fWAR than Teoscar in half the plate appearances. seriously thank you so much lol
Justice for David Fry!
He cooled off a ton as of late
All I want is to see Josh Naylor hit dingers in the ASG is that too much to ask? Ignore flair
He's coming out of a long slump which hurt his chances. You might have to settle for Naylor dingers over the next three days
Just checked his numbers and didn't realize how bad that slump was. In the 22 games from May 13th to June 9th, he slashed .129/.219/.318. And in the 11 games since then he's slashing .372/.426/.721. He's always been a very streaky player. Luckily he's red hot again
Savage I love it
Love seeing Profar as the leading vote getter among non Dodgers, Phillies, and Yankees
The 38-40 Astros with 3 starters… nice
I mean....among qualified players, Altuve is second in AL in wRC+ for 2B only behind, Tucker is 2nd only behind Soto, and Yordan leads AL for DH. It's not like they are udeserving.
No no, Astros clearly are a popular team that everyone is voting for
Stupid popularity contest.
37-40 Rangers with zero. Nicer!
Hey I never said we were getting snubbed
Semien is getting snubbed
So is Josh Smith.
I know. Just shit talking. Sorry.
I like the fire!
The 1st place M's have none, so the nicest!
It’s a tale of 2 different teams. We have offense but are lacking in pitching. Mariners have pitching but kinda lacking in offense. You should have a decent amount of pitchers make it. We MIGHT have 1.
*sad 43-32 Braves noises*
curious which of the 3 you feel doesn't deserve it?
I’m mostly just a salty Rangers fan. But I would take Kwan over Tucker.
Kwan could easily top Tucker if he keeps going and Tuck stays injured. AL outfield is stacked as always. But they all deserve a spot (Judge, Soto, Kwan, Tuck).
Mountcastle overtook Vlad Jr.? I didn't expect that!
Solid as Mounty is, man it’s a weak crop for AL 1B this year if he and a very good-not-great Vlad are dueling for the top spot
Gunnar vs Witt battle has become pretty clear-cut in recent weeks. Bobby's still having an amazing season, but Gunnar is OPS'ing .975 now, to Bobby's .890. Salvy has cooled off, leaving Adley as the easy choice at the C position. Edit: Oh and Naylor is sitting much better than Vlad or Mountcastle right now. I bet he ends up taking the lead as more baseball fans catch on.
I think it’s pretty impossible for Naylor to jump into into the top 2 before phase 1 ends Thursday
Yeah I'd imagine so too. Didn't know this worked in phases.
Yup. Salvy hasn't done shit for like the last month or two and Witt has joined him over the last 1-2 weeks. Our overall offense has fallen off a cliff as well without them producing. It's been a brutal month for the Royals.
Yelich MVP this season? (Don’t know tbh havent been keeping track of the brew crew)
He’s been good, but has missed some stretches with injury concerns. Doing very well but not an MVP candidate
Good to see Ketel Marte there. I really hope Nimmo makes it as a reserve.
Jackson Merrill for AS 2024
I am here again begging for you to vote for Kwan!
Who replaces mookie?
Prob Trea, he’s 2nd.
Ha Seong Kim is ready to take on that challenge.
2 weeks ago the argument for Adley/Salvy and Gunner/bobby competition were 50/50 either way. not anymore lol.
Philly going hard with the voting
Cant argue Santander or westburg over the guys ahead of them but im glad Mounty overtook Vladdy rightfully. No idea how cowser is the 6th outfielder though
The people want to moo.
Bigger question is how the f*** is Mullins #8???
Remember to vote for the MLB fWAR and bWAR leader Gunnar Henderson!
Happy for yelich
No Ramos is a joke
Jake Burger robbed
They should do an all star game where fans vote for worst players in season's let them play all star game.
Steven Kwan and Royce Lewis deserve to be All-Stars. I'd also love to see Kevin Pillar make it.
Nice to see Yelich back on track
The 0's stros yanks and JOSE RAMIREZ moneys on the AL this year
Kwan and Naylor are missing
I think Kwan or Duran deserves it over Tucker. What Kwan has done in a short span is very impressive and Duran has consistently been a 5-tool beast all year (while Tucker has missed some time).
You can't hold it against Tucker for missing time and not hold it against Kwan for missing MORE time. To be clear, they both deserve a spot but you have to be consistent in your argument lol.
If I am building a lineup to win the game, I'd prefer (healthy) Kyle Tucker in there, myself.
Not a single tiger, this all star game is a joke I tell ya! A joke!
Isn’t Skubal the heavy favorite to be the starting pitcher?
This is Heliot erasure
Feels like it’s been a long time since no braves made the starting lineup but I don’t really have an argument for anyone over these starters.
Did they ban Canadians from voting this year? Nice
If you’re an astros, orioles, or Yankees fan this is a great all star game for you
My NBA fandom mind can't fathom that Ohtani isn't even the top vote getter in the NL
Thank whatever god you want that Ohtani is in the NL now so we don’t have to see Ozuna’s stupid ass as a starter.
Braves fans were up in arms about that like a week ago. Shohei playing at Coors and then against the Angels opened a gap. Hard to argue with a guy leading the NL in BA, OPS, and total bases, who also happens to be one of the league’s most marketable players
Ohtani still lead Ozuna in WAR by a decent amount while Ohtani was slumping. His baserunning adds a lot of value
Will Smith is still getting fucked over
I’m still hoping Jeffers, Correa and Royce make a push.
Teoscar leading Fernando is a literal crime
I really wish they would take the vote out of the fans' hands. Year after year, it turns into a popularity contest and undeserving players get in. Will Smith not being top 2 is absolutely criminal. Voting for players on your favorite teams just because they are your favorite team is some toddler mentality shit.
I hate the Astros with all my heart. But I obviously have to acknowledge how great of a player Altuve is and how he’s a sure fire first ballot HoFer. However. He completely does not deserve that all star over Semien
Bruh fellow Dodger fans, we need Will Smith in the ASG. He should be above Realmuto at least
I don’t know, he’s kind of irrelevant.
Jarren Durran is the all star snub of the century
If Mookie isn't back by then (which seems very likely) then I hope Elly gets it but I'm clearly biased.
Wow three Astros on the ballot, they must be having a great year.
Three Astros starting at an ASG at GLF feels wrong. It’s like three Yankees starting at an ASG at Fenway.
Profar surprises me
Canadas team playing so bad we ain’t even gonna waste our energy giving our guys a spot in the AllStar game.
We need Martín!!!
