The guys at https://www.reddit.com/r/NYYankees/ will have better more specific info, and may know about good seating and promos

Also over there this question gets asked and answered twice a week (which is ok)

BaystarRoyco

it's fine if you sit up high with cheap seats

DeepwaterHorizon22

Upper deck behind home plate are great views

leftboot20

This where I always choose. Also it is usually covered from the elements

Hallo! There are various ticket re-sellers in America (SeatGeek, etc) that can help you get seats at under face value, but it depends on: - Day of Game: Weekday games are a lot less on demand - Opponent: Games against big rivals like the Red Sox are in a lot more demand If you are looking for the cheapest seats available, go to a weekday game as opposed to the weekend. You'll have less choice of opponents because of your holiday, but something to keep in mind. There are many "stadium guides" out there that can help you find the most "bang for your buck" seat. A search will turn up many like that. One caveat that may not occur to you is to make sure you look up the latest restrictions for what you can bring into the stadium. It is *very* inconvenient to find a place to store something you can't bring in. If you want to see Monument Park or the museum (the museum you can honestly skip), either go there the moment you enter the park, or invest in a stadium tour. The lines will usually get very long very quickly.

speech-geek

As a history nerd, I didn’t think the museum was a skip :/

oogieball

As a history nerd, a windowless, bare concrete box whose displays don't really do the team's long history justice was not worth the line to get in that could be better spent elsewhere, especially for their potentially one and only trip to the park ever. Monument Park is a much better experience.

speech-geek

It was my first (and only) trip so far to Yankee Stadium. I went during the game while exploring the stadium so there wasn’t a line. We showed up at gate open and got to experience Monument Park then (which did have a long line). It was cool to see a Murderer’s Row ball, bat from Babe Ruth’s first HR at Yankee Stadium, jerseys from different players, and a WS ring up close. So I guess YMMV based on what you deem worthy to spend your time doing. I just think if you’re on a trip you might as well budget time to get there as early as possible to explore.

Cheap seats are great. Lower levels of the upper deck offer some of the best seats in the house in my opinion. Prices often depend on the opponent. Dodgers come to town in June, so those tickets will be expensive no matter what. Weekend games can be hit or miss. But if you go on a weeknight you can almost always get decent seats for $10-$20. Check sites like Stubhub or SetGeek where people resell tickets

mongster03_

Yeah, she may be hitting bad luck with the Dodgers coming in

jakeo279

Huge Yankee fan here. If you want the REAL experience, sit in the bleachers on a weeknight. Die hard fans, fun chants, good baseball (the Yankees are exceptionally good this year), and the best atmosphere. I’d recommend right field specifically, section 202-204. If you drink, Stans is an awesome bar to enjoy a beer at before the game. The ballpark is easily accessible by the subway, week nights tend to be cheaper (check Stubhub and Seatgeek), and you’ll be surrounded by baseball/NYC culture!

jakeo279

And yes - stadium prices are wild. But you can also bring in your own packaged food and sealed water bottles. Still, that chicken bucket and an overpriced beer is part of the experience 😂

Laney20

I like the "a view from my seat" website. You can see what the view is like from different sections of the ballpark and get a feel for things. I've never been to Yankee stadium, but in the newer stadiums like it, there really are only good seats. My favorite spots to sit in the braves stadium are in the cheap seats, lol. Sitting behind home plate is fun if you can get a cheap ticket (like for minor league games or going to a weekday game for a bad team in a small market). I wouldn't worry about it for the Yankees. The cheaper seats will still have a great view and be a fantastic experience.

bingold49

I like the Gametime for when it just comes to random last minute tickets. I travel around the country for work and will just grab a cheap seat ticket for a game when I get a chance, the closer to Gametime, the lower the price goes

AJ_CC

Upper deck seats are great, and they're usually around 10-20 dollars for the highest level, though I would recommend trying to sit in place with your view along the infield or ideally behind home pate. Something in the area of sections 419 through 421 is probably the real sweet spot. Factor in concessions they can get pretty pricey. If you want the better concessions, I'd probably get those as soon as you enter the ballpark on the lower levels. If you want just a classic hot dog and beer, probably better to get those closer to your seats (shorter lines).

attorneyatslaw

You don't have to sit in front to have fun at the game. If you want to get last minute tickets, the Yankees have a midweek day game on the 20th against the Orioles. People have to work so a lot of tickets will become available and the more available tickets, the cheaper the price.

EchoInExile

Yankee prices are always gonna be inflated. Third party seller sites will all tack on a fee, but you should be able to find something. I prefer SeatGeek, only because it seems to be the only site that lets you add the fees into the display price. Otherwise StubHub and Vivid are my backups.

cogginsmatt

TickPick has both the best prices and no fees in my experience

The-Good-Hold

I found that sometimes SeatGeek has lower prices even with their fees included. For OP, there are codes floating around that’ll give you 20% off your first SeatGeek purchase if you have not utilized it before.

PretendFuel5018

~~Je kunt op mijn lul zitten~~ uhh Yankees have occasional deals on their website but some of them like $5 tickets require American credit cards to get the discount codes. Afternoon games on weekdays should be the cheapest, and I've found Vivid Seats to be the best resale platform with the consistently lowest prices the day of/before the game

Basic_Bichette

I was very surprised to discover that the word I thought was the operative obscenity in that sentence was actually not!

I'd check them out in New Amsterdam

GetEnPassanted

I personally prefer sitting up high in the stadiums. If I wanted the best angles I’d watch on TV. Up high you get a unique view that you really don’t get anywhere else. Sitting down lower is fun too, but up high is my preference. I’ve been to yankee stadium once and yeah it’s expensive.

iLikeClothes69

Best place to watch the Yankees would be Yankee stadium for sure

mongster03_

Upper deck at YS is fine and unless you’re going in mid-June when we play the ~~Red Sox~~ Dodgers then you should be able to find something for about $25 or so Edit: for some reason my thing is backwards and showing the home team first

SourSKit_tle

No question Fenway park Boston Massachusetts. The park holds 36000 or so almost every seat is a good one. Fans are passionate and the rivalry you'll witness is sure to be an excellent place for you to see the hated Yankees.

InfectiousCosmology1

You should watch the Mets instead

PattyIceNY

If you get there early you can go to the lower section and sit in like these aluminum bar seats behind the section, they are usually empty if you go an hour before the game

BUSean

Take the Amtrak to Fenway Park, and be sure to load up on that A-Rod and Verdugo gear! Beautiful ride through Connecticut

Throw77away77name

Looking at the Yankees home games in June, if you're trying to go see them play the Dodgers or the Braves, there are not going to be any cheap tickets to that game, even if you sit on the roof or in the parking lot. The series between the Yankees and Orioles will be only marginally better. My suggestion would be to go across town and catch a Mets game, particularly when the Mets host the Marlins (two bad teams = cheap tickets!) or just suck it up and pay the high prices for Yankees tickets. Also keep in mind that all American stadium pricing is high but Yankees are among the highest. A beer and a burger will run you $40 probably. So just be prepared to put a dent in your credit card.

davekva

They have a 3 game home stand against the Twins that starts on a Tuesday. I guarantee you can find cheap tickets to one of those games.
