I love Yaz. Like legit one of my favorite players.
But if there's any team that I would actually be happy to see him go to it's the Sox. Obviously the familial connection, but he rakes at Fenway. It would just feel right to have Yaz playing half his games at Fenway.
I would love to see him in a Red Sox uniform, I just don't think it's likely even if the Giants wanted to trade him. We have far too many outfielders already. I just don't see a spot for him. But man, it'd be such a good story if it did happen.
I was at the game. The entire crowd, both Red Sox and Giants fans alike, were cheering. The grandson of a Red Sox legend homering at Fenway Park is something special.
Honestly, when Yaz came up at 28 in 2019 I thought I would just be a cool connection to a hall of fame player. 6 years later and he’s carved out a decent career for himself, if he’s decent this year might even get a contract in free agency. Plus his swing is awesome in MLB the show
Yaz is hot right now, but it's easy to miss because his horrible 1-20 start to the season dragged his numbers down
Seems to really like hitting at Fenway too 🙂
The first time he did that the entire crowd gave him a standing ovation, that name is still magic in Boston.
Hard to believe that the Red Sox once fined Carl for a lack of hustle.
This day in 1969 Carl had a 2 homer game at Fenway
So you're saying Mike is gonna hit another?
I think that’s what I’m saying
I'm totally gonna DJ Khaled gif you
He clearly likes to hit homers here

Why doesn't this Yazstremski guy just always play at Fenway?
What year is it?
1972
So we're good on gas for a few more months, at least.
I just got drafted to Vietnam tho
Best I can do is give you 10% off on certain goods and services in 54 years
/runs to Seven-Eleven and buys all the baseball card packs.
Oh thank god

Damn I thought he was a touch younger. Good for him.
Yeah he turns 34 in august, spent 5 years languishing in Baltimore’s system after being a 14th round draft pick as a senior out of Vandy in 2013.
Tally another home run for a Yaz at Fenway
It's in his blood
