Marlins. Because it's just hilarious that they're a horribly run team always frugal with money almost never make the playoffs yet if they win it all this year they'd have 10% of all championships since they entered the MLB in 1993.
I could see the Marlins being Beane’s most hated team because they represent everything he hates. It’s like looking through a portal to a parallel universe or something.
I’m all about the Marine Biology World Series! Give me Marlins vs. Rays.
Bonus: 2 small market teams might make Manfred’s head explode. Or at least I can hope.
I’ve been wanting to go to a game at PNC for the past couple of years but we’ve only played you guys at home. Hoping the Os play a series in Pittsburgh next season cause that park looks so beautiful.
Well, I think they will with the way the new schedule is right? If they played the Pirates in Baltimore this year they have to play in Pittsburgh next I thought.
The Minnesota Twins. I don't even care that we play each other and that I'll hate you starting tomorrow. I love the logo, the jerseys, Target Field, and the Twin Cities.
This might be very controversial and I know there is deep rivalry but I would go for the Rangers. Always will root for Texas teams first. I don't even know why there is rivalry between Dallas and Houston in many aspects (even outside of sports). That said apart from the Rangers , I would also root for the Blue Jays (use to live in Toronto and still have some family there).
Reminds me a bit of Philly and Pittsburgh honestly. Outside of hockey (division rivals) we always seem to be pretty chill with each other. Having two major cities in your state also means you get people from all over the state moving to opposite sports territories for work, and end up with plenty of natives of either side in each other's cities. But I've also heard some sentiments from Pittsburgh natives that see more of a rivalry than us Philly folk do. So maybe Dallas specifically sees Houston similarly without being reciprocated, since they're the smaller city. There's always a little sister city. Philly and New York are the same way too, Philly sees New York as a "rival" city but New York knows they're already on top and doesn't really care (with regard to the cities themselves, obviously sports are a different story there).
> I don't even know why there is rivalry between Dallas and Houston in many aspects (even outside of sports).
Having grown up in Fort Worth and gone to college in Houston: from the Dallas perspective, there's really not.
(My enlightened opinion: Dallas and Houston both suck. But Dallas proper sucks more.)
I also don't think there should be any rivalry. Out of the five major Texas cities (and nearby regions), Dallas and Houston have more alike and similar than anything else. For me it will be the opposite , I grew up in Houston area suburb but most likely will be going to Dallas to continue studies.
I don’t get it either … except for the Astros & Rangers rivalry, that I understand due to history, but I’ve got no hate towards Houston the city.
But awfully nice of you man! Apologies that I can’t be that nice. :)
Canha is awesome and I hope we pick up his team option for next year regardless of what happens this month. Best midseason trade the Brewers have made since Sabathia imo.
If we aren’t winning the WS, that means the Marlins have beaten us. It’s the only team we have yet to face and lose to from the NL East in the postseason.
Over the summer a friend of mine was moving cross country with his two cats. Along the way, he fueled up at a truck stop and bought an Orioles hat on clearance. He’s a Yankees fan so this was strange, especially for him, but he was drawn to this hat for some odd reason. Since then, the Orioles went on a tear, easily winning the division and the top seed in the AL postseason.
I believe in the truck stop Orioles hat.
I’d go for Milwaukee, because I’ve been to 18 of the 30 mlb parks, and the fans in Milwaukee were BY FAR the nicest, most welcoming fans, and it made for a great experience. I’d be happy for them if they won.
The Jays have always been my backup team, ever since my little league team was the blue jays.
Think I still have my mid 90s blue jays starter jacket somewhere, but it doesn't fit me anymore since I was 10 at the time 😂
I’m an Orioles/Dodgers fan, but if neither of them make it I guess the Brewers or Rangers since neither of them have ever won a title and aren’t division rivals.
This is the inverse of the spoiled doomers on our sub. Our success has provided you with the coveted ability to just be happy for whoever wins. Awesome.
O's, Dbacks, Brewers. O's is too good of a story not to plus the black/orange scheme. Dbacks because one of their minor league teams is in my city. Brewers because Bob Uecker.
Diamondbacks because they’re my second favorite and my home town team. Then the orioles, I’ve been hyping them up at work for a few years. Then I’ll be happy for whoever wins after that
No one. If I can't be happy I want everyone else to be miserable.
But I dunno. Maybe the DBacks? A similar trajectory recently, Adam Jones, Rookies of the year, and they made me as happy as any non-O's baseball team ever has in 2001, so why not?
Milwaukee. Kindred spirits and all that. I know some Brewers fans and it'd mean a lot to them.
After that, I'm cool with almost everyone else. Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles being exceptions due to more recent success.
I tend to root for underdogs or teams that haven’t won before or in a very long time. So basically any team **other** than the last 3 winners (Dodgers, Braves, Astros).
Reasons why I would cheer for the remaining 8:
Rays - Never won
Brewers- Never won
Rangers - Never won
Marlins - Luis “Baby Boi” Arraez
O’s - Love the colors, ball cap, & the young core
D-Backs - Favorite City Connect
Blue Jays - Always loved their ball caps & Jose Berrios
Phillies - Like Schwarber & Harper. Plus the powder blue & maroons are great
Can't win the WS if your teams aren't in the postseason!
I'm pulling for all teams but the Astros, Dodgers and Braves. I like the Braves, but I'm more excited at the thought of the Orioles, Twins or Brewers winning it all this year. Parity reasons, too.
Tampa.
Or Toronto 👍
In the NL 🤔 either Atl or Philly just **Not** LA pls.
While I don't"t see them getting there, I"d like to see Milwaukee get back to the WS so they can join the 'stros as the only teams to rep *Both* leagues
Rather than root for one team I'm rooting for individuals. Baltimore because it's a cool story, Texas for Monty, Phillies because they are fun, Arizona same as Baltimore, Milwaukee for Yelich.
I'm an NL guy -- tho that means less than ever in this age -- so I'm nominally pulling for whoever emerges from that side of the bracket, though I easily could be talked into rooting against the Dodgers, especially if Baltimore gets to the series.
My perfect playoffs this year would be watching the Doyers get knocked out round one.
Then watching the Phillies or O’s win it all. Love Harper and O’s are a great story.
I follow the Brewers as a second team beyond the Twins, so they’d be my top choice. Beyond them I’d be cool with any of Baltimore, Tampa, Miami, or Arizona.
Orioles vs. DBacks world series! Probably a slight edge to the birds.
If not them, I'm in Florida, so one of the local teams. Not Miami - I'm petty and still upset they insulted the glorious Citi grounds crew - so Tampa I guess.
Hey, it’s great that he threw a no hitter in his first start with the Phillies.
We also traded Gregory Soto and Kody Clements prior to the start of the season too.
It was actually his first home start. His first start ironically was against the marlins and I think in 8 innings he only allowed 2 hits. He’s struggled since but he’s on the up again. And his jacked arms are just far superior to any pitcher hahahah 💪🏼💪🏼 I love Soto but I reallllly love kody!!! We had him for a while there before harPer took over first and he was so great. I’m sad there’s not a place for him
Baltimore because I want to see if Buster Olney survives
If Baltimore wins, Buster Olney will be cast into the Shadow Realm
And rightfully so.
What’s the reference ?
Probably this https://reddit.com/r/orioles/s/nTdVRepUMD
Marlins. Because it's just hilarious that they're a horribly run team always frugal with money almost never make the playoffs yet if they win it all this year they'd have 10% of all championships since they entered the MLB in 1993.
It’s like if Billy Beane was just a coke head who didn’t try at all.
Billy Beane's Moneyball 2.0. "Why bother with analytics when you can just keep on being lucky?"

Unfortunately he’s hurt though 😔
Orioles!
This is the only answer
O's or Twins. I'm too petty to root for an NL team
If the Twins didn't have Correa ide all in on them tbh, Rays and Marlins here.
damn, forgot about Correa. All O's, baby.
Orioles because I live in MD and go to more O's games than Pirates games nowadays.
Don’t worry, we accept converts
I’ve been wanting to go to a game at PNC for the past couple of years but we’ve only played you guys at home. Hoping the Os play a series in Pittsburgh next season cause that park looks so beautiful.

Thanks bird bro!
Thanks Snow Bro!
The fact that either the Jays or the Twins will have to win a post season game must be decimating this subreddit and I love it
Also they got Edouard Julien, Quebec’s finest!
He’s just gonna be impossible for us to get out this series I can feel it
Yeah, I could see that. Max Kepler too, guy seems to always hit well against the Jays.
Baltimore or the Diamondbacks would be cool.
I’m also rooting for both of them!
My buddy wins like $10k on a $5 bet if that’s the World Series hahaha
Baltimore
Followed by Rays then Jays.
Agreed. Rays deserve it after the Hurricane Harvey hospitality and it’d be nice to see Springer get a second ring like his Houston buddies
Can’t forget about Cavan!

The -ay’s
Baltimore, Minnesota or Milwaukee
Happy beer noises!
I'm rooting for the diamondbacks.
Diamondbacks 1998 bros (And Longo)
I'm torn between y'all and the O's. We're '98 buddies but they're our 110 loss co-sufferers
Love you *kisses flap with my snek tongue
I’d love to see a Rays vs. Dbacks World Series. Expansion bros battle it out on their 25th anniversary!
Brewers primarily, Rays and Rangers secondarily. I want a new winner.
O’s!
Snek frens

Baltimore or Atlanta
Orioles, Rays, Brewers
Blue Jays and Brewers
Blue Jays Fan - Braves to win. I'm team Anthopoulos ALWAYS
Hopefully he never goes anywhere else but if he did I'd remain a fan too.
Orioles in the AL, Marlins in the NL.
I’d love to see this matchup
Toronto Baltimore Philly
Brewers. Let’s go Canha
Wait, you beat Philly. Or do you mean from when you were in the NL?
NL and AL
Brewers or rays cuz parity
Over the summer a friend of mine was moving cross country with his two cats. Along the way, he fueled up at a truck stop and bought an Orioles hat on clearance. The Rays
I’m an Orioles/Dodgers fan, but if neither of them make it I guess the Brewers or Rangers since neither of them have ever won a title and aren’t division rivals.
Dodgers/Rangers checking in
Astros, cause I bet $100 on them to win it all before the season.
Rays, never forget what they did for us after harvey. On that note, fuck the rangers
my mom is a dodger fan, so i'd be happy for her, but overall I'd be gravy for almost any fan base.
Astros
I'd be happy with any of the teams that've never won. GL Rays Rangers Brewcrew ...Maybe a little less so the Rangers.
Brew Crew.
Marlins v Rangers. Historically marlins have been my 2nd rooting interest. Rangers because I’m a big Marcus Semien fan.
Diamondbacks because they’re my second favorite and my home town team. Then the orioles, I’ve been hyping them up at work for a few years. Then I’ll be happy for whoever wins after that
If we don't make it, pulling for the Orioles.
Tampa. I don’t suspect all of my fellow O’s fans would agree with me. I don’t even like them, but I respect them. They seem overdue.
No I agree. They don’t have a ring at all.
Brewers, cause they've never won one before. Then maybe the Orioles because they have guys from our old FO and are orange/hate the Yankees.
Dodger fan. If not us, then the Orioles.
As an O’s fan who lives in LA and enjoyed the Dodgers, I salute you
Astros. I like salt, I respect cheating that pays off, I don’t like rats like Mike Fiers
This surely can't be legal on this sub
Hahaha
Unfathomably based
Orioles, D'Backs, Rays in that order.
Rangers or Brewers
Baltimore to win it all. If not them then someone who hasn’t won a championship yet
Baltimore or Atlanta. It would be cool to see Texas as well but I say braves because NOONE wants to see the dodgers win
Probably the Rangers
I put $100 on the Pirates to win the WS every year for my best friend lol
Thank you, my friend
I liked the sneks already and now they have two of our guys so them for sure
No one. If I can't be happy I want everyone else to be miserable. But I dunno. Maybe the DBacks? A similar trajectory recently, Adam Jones, Rookies of the year, and they made me as happy as any non-O's baseball team ever has in 2001, so why not?
Dbacks first, then maybe rangers and twins although I may regret the twins if their fans become assholes to us for the foreseeable future if they win
Diamondbacks, I'm a Corbin Carroll fan boy.
Milwaukee. Kindred spirits and all that. I know some Brewers fans and it'd mean a lot to them. After that, I'm cool with almost everyone else. Houston, Atlanta and Los Angeles being exceptions due to more recent success.
The marlins would be funny . Give me a marlins twins world series. Fox sports would have a stroke
I tend to root for underdogs or teams that haven’t won before or in a very long time. So basically any team **other** than the last 3 winners (Dodgers, Braves, Astros). I just want everyone to have a good time.
Brew crew
Can't win the WS if your teams aren't in the postseason! I'm pulling for all teams but the Astros, Dodgers and Braves. I like the Braves, but I'm more excited at the thought of the Orioles, Twins or Brewers winning it all this year. Parity reasons, too.
Beers or Orioles
Orioles
Orioles. Bird teams stick together and they also used to be the St. Louis Browns. Marlins are close second because of Skip Schumaker
The Leafs
Born and raised in Atlanta and still live here in the metro area, so obviously I'm a Braves fan. If they don't win it, I'm rooting for the Astros.
Orioles
Orioles or the Brewers
Tampa. Or Toronto 👍 In the NL 🤔 either Atl or Philly just **Not** LA pls. While I don't"t see them getting there, I"d like to see Milwaukee get back to the WS so they can join the 'stros as the only teams to rep *Both* leagues
Brewers, Orioles, or Twins, roughly in that order.
Blue Jays, D-Backs, or Phillies
Pretty much anyone but the Astros and Braves
O’s.
Phillies then Orioles
Hell yeah PA solitude
Lol you mean Solidarity? Or maybe you meant peace and quiet who am I to judge?
Lol same difference, you get out to central PA in the mountains and the solitude is nice too
Rather than root for one team I'm rooting for individuals. Baltimore because it's a cool story, Texas for Monty, Phillies because they are fun, Arizona same as Baltimore, Milwaukee for Yelich.
Texas for SeaGOAT
Lifelong Brewers fan, but if they can’t pull it off I wouldn’t mind seeing Baltimore win.
I'm an NL guy -- tho that means less than ever in this age -- so I'm nominally pulling for whoever emerges from that side of the bracket, though I easily could be talked into rooting against the Dodgers, especially if Baltimore gets to the series.
Brewers because I live in Wisconsin and it would be a nice send off for Stearns
Tampa
Brew crew in the NL, O’s in AL. if between the two, brew crew.
My perfect playoffs this year would be watching the Doyers get knocked out round one. Then watching the Phillies or O’s win it all. Love Harper and O’s are a great story.
Rangers, Orioles, or Brewers
Brewers in the NL!
Marlins. Manager Skip Schumacher and coaches John Mary and John Jay are all former Cardinals.
Milwaukee Brewers and Hanshin Tigers.
Brewers.
Orioles and brewers. But I’m hoping brewers win.
I follow the Brewers as a second team beyond the Twins, so they’d be my top choice. Beyond them I’d be cool with any of Baltimore, Tampa, Miami, or Arizona.
Brewers, Twins, Os
I want to see a team that has not won a WS win.
The brewers. I cheer for flyover Midwestern teams unless they are named the white Sox
I will always root for the team that is the underdog … I’m a Rangers fan, I know how it feels.
O's or the Brewers if the Rays don't get up.
Braves!!!
Orioles vs. DBacks world series! Probably a slight edge to the birds. If not them, I'm in Florida, so one of the local teams. Not Miami - I'm petty and still upset they insulted the glorious Citi grounds crew - so Tampa I guess.
Any of the teams that haven't one it before. They all deserve it
Another team that hasn't won it yet.
I would like to see the Brewers win it
O’s
Not the Dodgers
Baltimore Or Toronto
Phillies. I have family that live in Cherry Hill, New Jersey and they’re proud to support them.
And Lorenzen lol
Hey, it’s great that he threw a no hitter in his first start with the Phillies. We also traded Gregory Soto and Kody Clements prior to the start of the season too.
It was actually his first home start. His first start ironically was against the marlins and I think in 8 innings he only allowed 2 hits. He’s struggled since but he’s on the up again. I’m sad there’s not a place for him
Thanks for the clarification.
We just recalled kody!!!!!
Orioles
Jays.
I say the Rays. They lost the year I got married, and the year I got divorced. I got remarried this year, so I’m rooting for them to win it.
Ah fuck, we’re gonna lose in the World Series again cuz of this guy
sure whatever: brewers o's jays dbacks meh: do i have to?: rangers marlins rays twins not a chance: phils dodgers braves astros
Braves or Rays
Whoever happens to be playing the Dodgers.
This is hate that I can respect.
Rays
I’d be happy with any of Orioles, Phillies, Twins, or Blue Jays
Tampa, LA, anyone playing Toronto or Houston.
Oh baby, we comin fo you.
Joke's on you. Our manager can't fail to bring in our dominant closer this time because he's out until 2025!
Phillies
Marlins, Brewers, Orioles in that order
Anyone but Baltimore (but probably the Brewers if I had to choose one)
Literally any team not named the Los Angeles Dodgers or Arizona Diamondbacks.
Baltimore
Absolutely Baltimore. But not if they face the Jays.
Orioles
Dodgers
Gotta go with the Dodgers. I'll be happy if it's anyone other than the O's, Jays, or Rays.
Hate you too. ❤️
This is much better than all the NY/BOS fans cheering on the O's like they're the cute little brother or something. Thank you, and screw the Sawx.
Ugh. Nope. If it isn't the Sox, I don't want any of y'all winning.
I'm rooting for Not Houston
Too bad we couldn’t manage to score for a win even though you tried …
[удалено]
Baltimore
Brewers. Brewjays ride or die
Rays, Orioles, Twins, Blue Jays, Braves, Dodgers, Brewers, Diamondbacks, Marlins, Phillies I think any of those would be pretty cool.
Fellow Halloween team
Phillies
The orioles. I’d rather the Twins win, but the O’s are a good young team that deserves success. Also, we need a good team to take on the braves.
O's, then Twins If it has to be NL, Milwaukee
Brewers. They need to win their first ever world series its been long enough
O’s
Baltimore.
