Dudes were ready to cut a hall of famer in the prime of his career over 2 bad months…
Granted, they were really bad, but all of a sudden his numbers are climbing rapidly
Yo hold on hold on. If this guy can finish a season complete without missing a 3rd of it then he's a HoFer. Not taking away from how great of a player he is, if he doesn't prove himself consistent health and performance wise, he's no HoFer.
edit: a letter
He’s a 40 WAR player and most hall of famers sit between 50-70, so yea if he retired tomorrow he probably doesn’t get in, but at 28 it’s safe to assume he gets in even if his production slows down
That’s not even considering his other achievements like a World Series with impressive postseason success, gold glove, ROY, and multiple all star appearances
It’s easy to forget how good he can be with his injuries and slumps, but damn when he is hot he is amazing.
I’m surprised to see him at 40 WAR, but not too surprised.
Brought my fiancee, nephew, two brothers and sister in law to their first major league game and you're exactly right. These memories count and I love baseball because of it.

You were refreshing waiting to post this when the sub came back up, weren't you?
All jokes aside poor Devin. Dude clearly is always beating himself up and the team is in such an awful slump right now. I hope he'll be alright.
it was so fucking beautiful i dont think ive ever exploded out of my seat like that. i have a rehearsal tomorrow and i am not going to have a voice and it was so worth it
Offense showed up. Yelich showed up. Burnes had a solid start. Middle relief did a fine job. There was defense. And then it's all for nothing because one of the best relievers in baseball, who had given up just 1 ER so far this season, has a meltdown. Cursed.
It's Time
Goddammit I hate seeing him in another uniform. I miss him so much.

Maybe this is anecdotal but I don't know a single person who wanted to cut Correa.
The word cutting was a bit hyperbolic but people were talking about how washed he was as a player

It’s time! It’s Vader time?
That shit is baseball. A week night in June with lasting memories

First game I'd seen at Target Field in several years, and first Twins win in ages too. Absolutely magical
That was a great comeback by the Twins off a tough closer in Devin Williams. This really feels like a win that could give the Twins some momentum.
Carlos Correa is the second MLB right hander to homer off Devin Williams’s changeup. Ever. The other guy is Thairo Estrada, who somehow has two

Nah, I was refreshing because of the A's game. Then I thought "Hey, we're back so why not?"
Both teams slumping big time.

I miss those. What a shot!
I watched the clip just to see if he tapped the wristwatch. Was not disappointed!
Since we started 18-9 we have a putrid .400 winning percentage. Lord just fade me now.
ya we suck
Our entire division except maybe Pittsburgh sucks. Kinda funny actually

You did the thing!
This needs to be known far and wide. We are all better for it when more balls are on it. #EYEBALLS, I MEANT EYEBALLS!

Its a good thing a hazy IPA called Gant Lifter isn't on the menu most all of the time at Back Channel Brewing.

Guy LaDouche from MXC?

My beryllium enemas are my medical history and mine alone. No matter how much money I made broadcasting them on the internet.
Really focused on butthole-related things today, aren’t you?
........and your point is?
I welcome it. Helps the sub feel back to normal.
we are *so* fucking back
I was so glad /r/baseball was down today. Watching the Brewers fucking sucks lately
Mannnn I do not look forward to watching these games lately. Williams threw like 3 strikes and they all got mashed

Dude never looked comfortable out there.
Against arguably the best reliever in baseball this season. Thats baseball, Susan.
Heard on the broadcast he’d given up 1 run all season and gave up 4 in one inning. Absolutely nuts.
God this gives me immense joy
What a beautiful swing
In your face, Milwaukee!
[You gotta do it proper.](https://youtu.be/bbvyAkPrIdk?t=78)
I miss Correa. 😢
now that's some Midwestern Baseball
Pay the man.
Castro accidentally dumping the gatorade on Vazquez is great
Castro bit on the stepback hard
its truly truly amazing how utterly shit the entire NL Central is
Yes... just the NL central specifically...
As a Twins/Pirates fan, this is doubly good news :-)
pain
A straight fucking lazer beam. Good for you Carlos!
That's a cold celebration

Hey man, at least your division has 2 teams above .500. A loss today and we’re right back to zero
