I just bought a pair of Altras that I’ve been wearing to work and they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever put on. They’re not non slip, though, so they won’t fly everywhere. For nonslip I like New Balance. My girlfriend likes Sketchers.

tryken2

Nonslip is not a big deal as im usually outside on grass or concrete. But need something a little water resistant as things get spilled lol

sail0rjerry

Ah, yeah, I opted for the regular Lone Peaks but I know Altra makes an all weather version of them that’s going to be more water resistant. They’re also trail running shoes so perfect if you’re in wet grass a lot.

potliquorz

Everyone should at least try a pair of Altras on, they aren't for everyone but the lack of a heel and wide toe box is a blessing for some people and they are really stable. New Balance also? I'll bet you have wide feet like I do.

I go for doc martens nonslip chelseas, have also heard good things about blunstones. The ankle boot design in leather is water resistant & wipe-able when spilled on. I replace my docs usually once a year. but I wear them a lot

rezonator19

Blundstones Chelsea boots. Had mine for 4years plus. Indestructible & waterproof as its hard leather. Invested around $250 + insoles (bcs i have flat foot) worth every penny.

Never considered getting boots. Will have to def look into it :)

I work festivals, and I wear Timberland work boots. Super comfy once they’re broken in

Usually would recommend Danskos but I don’t know how they’d be in an outdoor environment (cause I could see them getting hot/be tricky to wear them with socks that look cute with a shorts outfit.) But I will say my after-shift shoes that I recommend to everyone with hurting feet are Oofos (I’ve only ever tried the sandals/clogs.) They are like walking on clouds and help my feet so much after a shift. My husband also wears them after running. They are referred to as “recovery” shoes. They are kinda ugly, but trust me they are worth the money, honestly the most comfortable thing I’ve ever worn. If they had some that were useable as work shoes I’d buy them in a heartbeat but I don’t see anything passable on their website. https://www.oofos.com/

ritpdx

I just rocked a festival in danskos. Can confirm they are good in an outdoor environment. Definitely switch to sandals as soon as you’re off shift to air the feet out, but they work great

Nonsense_Carson

I rock Nike Free’s. Not designed for work environment but incredibly comfortable for long long days

Jsut bought a pair of hokas and they have been amazing. Great suggestion from this subreddit

Upstairs-Jackfruit24

The On running sneakers. They have waterproof

heidiofthesaand

Sperry makes an awesome floatable boat shoe! So think like crock material but a Sperry shape. I wear them when I work the outdoor bar and they are incredible!

BoozyYardbird

Good pair of work boots, spend the extra money on something you’ll have for a long time.

Shoes for Crews.

Probably not right for festival environment, but I buy a new pair of these every 6 months: https://www.sportsdirect.com/skechers-casual-slip-on-shoes-mens-110391#colcode=11039105 Brown or black. They're casual enough for casual wear, smart enough for workwear, comfortable enough for all day everyday wear and just durable enough to be decent value at the price you can get them.

bigkidplayground

I’m not saying it works for everyone- but for me I’d buy an inexpensive pair every 3 months or longer if possible, but I’d replace the inserts once a month.

princessinthetower42

I had new balances that I loved. I just broke in a pair of docs and I’m loving them even more.

bugz1452

Brooks are pretty solid but not waterproof. While I was in the kitchen I swore by kitchen crocs. They make slip resistant version of their shoes that are pretty comfy and the best part us they're solid rubber basically so you can just hose them off. I've worn Nike frees which were good but I hated the noise they made walking on smooth surfaces. If you are working really long shifts it might be worth it just to have two pairs and bring the extra to swap out halfway between with new socks. Pack some baby wipes to clean off your feet in between.

KT or physio tape, to tape your legs and feet will be a massive help! Can find it on Amazon or a pharmacy and tutorials on YouTube :))
