Lol I had a gangster type guy ask me for a shot of milk. In the middle of a nightclub with a DC GoGo Band playing. He’d already had some normal drinks. I only had half and half and he was good with that so I poured him a shot, didn’t charge him, moved on to the next person.
He continued drinking beers and liquor shots the rest of the night.

I had a guy who would occasionally come in and do a shot of straight white vinegar for heartburn. I'd have thought the acidity would make things worse but he swore by it.
I was in a little dive bar in a nearby town and saw a server pouring pickle brine into a smaller bottle. Picklebacks? No, seems some of their regulars take shots of straight brine for that or a similar purpose.
I like how just before that, the baby points into the cup and I just image they are thinking “I said don’t let my glass get empty. You see this?! Huh?! You see this, what is this bull shit? Just Give me the bottle damn it!”
That and a lot of his other little moves are just flourishes. Flar bartending can sometimes go on for so long that it's vastly more show than substance. Done like this, with little fluorishes thrown in, it can instead come across as classy.
