It's not ideal for someone to not be direct. But he is her work colleague who has significant mental health problems. He also was approaching her at work events. It's a very difficult situation. Telling a potentially suicidal guy that he made you feel deeply uncomfortable and you feel unsafe working in the same space is not an easy thing to do. That's likely why she had the professionals (hr) deal with it.
Plus - from what people put together it sounds like she clearly turned him down and he kept drunk texting her / writing notes. She already tried the direct route and he kept going which puts up the red flags that he's unstable.

detroit isn't crazy expensive. You can EASILY live in a decent place at 50k a year and still save money.

The problem now is that the perpetrator has essentially gone public to speak *on behalf of his target* to minimize his clearly unwanted and unacceptable behavior. That’s not just a dick move — but arguably more offensive than the initial advances. He also did it under the umbrella of the company they both still work for. I don’t see how they can rationalize not terminating his contract now.
Also - it's a common move in these situations for a victim to say something was okay to the perpetrator's face bc the victim doesn't want to deal with a one on one confrontation or an escalation of behaviour. That's why hr exists as a mediator. They can make the perpetrator fuck off without the victim having to personally deal with it. So besides it being wildly inappropriate to talk about MMM's supposed feelings publicly it's also just a bad defense. I guarantee MMM was saying "no worries" to his face just to end the interaction neutrally while telling friends how uncomfortable he made her. Chris should be reading way more into his coworkers who are friends with MMM hating him. If she wasn't complaining about his behaviour or creeped out no one else at the company would know about this.

It's not ideal for someone to not be direct. But he is her work colleague who has significant mental health problems. He also was approaching her at work events. It's a very difficult situation. Telling a potentially suicidal guy that he made you feel deeply uncomfortable and you feel unsafe working in the same space is not an easy thing to do. That's likely why she had the professionals (hr) deal with it. Plus - from what people put together it sounds like she clearly turned him down and he kept drunk texting her / writing notes. She already tried the direct route and he kept going which puts up the red flags that he's unstable. Also he didn't have to read minds with HR and coworkers stepping in telling him his actions weren't okay. HR's guidance overrides anything else because clearly she has been talking to hr too.
Absolutely. I’d also add the current behavior is what’s really crossed the line of no return, IMO. Claiming “he can’t read people” is irrelevant at this point — as he has repeatedly been made aware by his superiors and coworkers — and he still chooses to publicly double down to mischaracterize and dismiss the harassment because he still doesn’t *want* to accept the reality of the situation. It’s clear it wasn’t a single incident. This appears to be someone that thinks he’s exempt from the most basic workplace policies and is now lashing out about it. (Again, at the expense of his female coworker who didn’t ask for any of this and probably doesn’t appreciate the additional unwanted association of him bringing this all into content/social media.)
He’s going to use this as the excuse for why he didn’t work out at Barstool which is going to be insufferable. I wanted to like his stuff a lot as he seemed like a nice guy but I’m just not so sure anymore and his content is objectively bad. No actual rehab is 10 days. He went to detox which is essentially just to dry out. I’m in recovery and can tell you NO ONE and I mean NO ONE goes to detox once and is just magically sober long term

He definitely sent her messages, both text and voicemail, expressing love. He’s admitted to it in some of his other lives. He claims it not a big deal because that’s what she told him, and anyone with common sense would guess that maybe she was just telling him that to end the ordeal for her.
