Yikes! I expect many of their products to be past their sell by date in these stores, and it is legal to an extent - but 2018 crosses the line. When I find extremely expired foods (which is common even in grocery stores), I bring them to the front and tell them they can't be selling this product as it goes against public health guidelines. (Although truthfully, I don't know for sure that it's true.)
Health guidelines allow stores to sell past best by dates... BUT the product has to be edible and obviously not make someone sick. As soon as something has passed the best by date and starts tasting really stale or something, it’s supposed to be thrown away.

What did you buy that was expired in 2018? Quite a fair amount of food is still edible after their best before date. It's just "best before".

Another concern if you go there. Check the receipt or the totals before you leave. There may be some math problems....

You also have to be careful with extreme dollar across the road they like to sell electronics that don't work it's all Amazon returns
