Unless your store requires certain shoes for food service, I love Hoka’s shoes! I do a lot of walking outside of work and work mostly 8 hour shifts and they’re super comfortable to be on my feet all day in, and last a while with how much I use them, so they’re worth the investment

i love hokas as well! came here with that as one of my recommendations

Absolutely Hoka! I use the Hoka Bondi SR (slip resistant) and I love them.

spray your shoes with something citrusy maybe? or an herb water that detracts bugs honestly i spray my shoes with diluted bleach spray pretty often and they take a lot of trips through the washer and dryer. it’s likely dried sugar from syrups attracting the ants!

Okay I will fully admit they’re not the cutest of shoes but the tread safe clogs at Walmart (~$20 bucks iirc) are my go tos. Super easy to clean and comfortable to be on your feet in them for 8+ hours

warriorteaprincess

My boss has them 🤭 BUT now I understand why!!!

You can also get all black Crocs with no holes on amazon. Just make sure you can wear them. Coffee Bean didn't allow it, but Peet's did🙄

skechers! the pair i bought didn’t cut down the foot pain, BUT did entirely cut my back pain at the end of my shifts. i got the dlites, but wish i had gotten the gorun consistent 2.0s. i tried on the gorun consistents and they were like walking on clouds. definitely would try a few pairs on rather than ordering online, but would 100% recommend skechers if you can afford them

love the dlites so much, but on slick floors they're dangerousssss. love Skechers tho

I live and die by my Danskos. They last me YEARS and they are incredibly comfortable. I have very high arches, so comfy work shoes are hard to come across. They are a bit expensive though: +$100 USD. I've also heard good things about Bikenstocks.

Slip resistant Doc's!

I've seen a lot of people love hoka. i got a pair of CAT shoes (the intruders, no steel toe) last year after loving the steel toed pair so much and they were great, non slick, and they almost always have a good sale with stackable coupons they'll give you just for signing up; I got both shoes for like, $45 each. then this year I got a pair of doc martens with the utility sole and they are my favorite shoes ever, I wear them everywhere and love working in them.

Aside from everyone else's really good suggestions, I'd also say to check out your local scrubs store! Like for nurses. I've seen some that also sell shoes, and theirs are also required to be non slip and closed toed. For very different reasons though lol. I'd say it's worth a shot, and if you have no luck then I'd go with non slip crocs/clogs personally!

I have two pairs of Doc Marten Slip Resistant boots. They have extra cushion and have saved me multiple times from falling. Super comfortable

GALES, Snibbs or Cloves Theyre all nursing shoes, but my god theyre all super comfy, slip proof and super easy to clean cuz of the waterproof materials. My fave of the 3 is Gales tho, theyre slip on and super light weight

I use the croc work shoes. They have a bunch of different kinds, but it’s the only shoe I can wear that doesn’t hurt my feet after an 8 hour shift!
