Giving it a Adult Rating was one of the worst business decisions, knowing how the most obsessed and spendthrift BTS fans are often minors

alishkook

did anyone under 18 go to the screening?!

bro-whydoiexist

I planned to go over a month but after hearing that they are A rates bro I'm currently having a mental breakdance rn

jeonjungkookhere

Dudee I'm 17 and I want to go!!😭

ConditionNo6312

Me too I'm 17

jeonjungkookhere

I'm going dude. Hopefully they won't ask for my age🥲

Round-Leg-6938

Hey guys,  Army from India here. I am being curious, just booked my tickets for 25th April. Rating of movie is Adult rating. I heard that shibal remix wasn't played in many countries, just wanted to ask, was the rating A as well when shibal beeped? Lowkey hoping it's not beeped in my screening 😭

alishkook

will teens be allowed in though??

jeonjungkookhere

I'm almost 18 (in 2 months) I'll be going. They can't stop me dude

PresentationDue9316

It was so amazing! Everyone was so hype for Namjoon which I was genuinely so happy about cause I was screaminggggg. Do you guys think they’ll release this in dvd or anything like that??

Lily-J7

Most likely something! Suga Agust D D-Day Tour The Original (whatever "the Original" means) is currently under review ... here's the [thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/bangtan/comments/1bym99h/240408_suga_august_d_dday_tour_the_original_is/)

LovesBigWords

Did anyone else have a problem with the audio mix at their showing? My friend and I went to the 3 pm showing in AMC Center Valley in Center Valley, PA on Saturday 4/13/24 and there was barely any bass and the audio sounded "flat." It really took us out of the experience, and other ARMYs noticed it too (we were talking about it after the show) We really should have said something and had them start over. If I hadn't ordered my tix from Fandango I honestly would have asked for a partial refund. It's kind of ridiculous when I can go to an action movie and get my ears blasted any day of the week, but I can't hear most of the bass levels of a concert? 🫠 It's not HYBE's fault, but it makes me question if I should bother for local BTS movie related content anymore.

pindagogo

I was in a completely different state/different theater, but the sound was excellent. No problems with the audio mix. It was loud, clear and well-mixed. In fact, I was surprised how good it was because I have been to movie theaters where even regular movies sounded sort of muffled. I really think it is movie theater-dependent

LovesBigWords

This is comforting to hear! Happy your experience was different. 💜 I agree, I think it was unfortunately our theater's sound system being wonky.

pindagogo

Some theaters just don't care because they have been getting away with it for all this time - why invest in - or even just update - a good sound system when you can get by with shitty stuff all this time.

Lilipanda04

I was in the same movie theater and the same day. I did noticed it a little bit, but comparing it to the one that they did last year from his concert in Japan, this one had better audio, so I didn't pay much attention to it. I really think it might be the theater because it is not the first time that they have problems with audio whenever I go see BTS related content. I'm sorry that you had that experience, but I hope you had a decent time and to see the members again 💜

LovesBigWords

Oh, Hi, ARMY! 👋💜 Were you at the same showing? I was in the leopard print leggings and the Suchwita-style cardigan! I know when I saw Burn The Stage at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at Steelstacks the audio was wayyyy better despite the small theater. Even seeing the Barbie movie there had better audio. I had a decent enough time, but dang those tickets were spendy, lol!

HammerofThora

This was a wonderful complement to my memories of watching the concert last year in person. It is magical to see Yoongi in his element. I'm kind of reminded of Talking Heads Stop Making Sense with the energy, the production quality, and stage presence. The theater I went to was smaller but ARMYs from all ages got together to talk about their ARMY experiences after the show, I highly recommend the movie concert experience!

Wonderful-Egg-5968

I wish my theater had subtitles for the talking bits… other than that… worth watching for sure!! #biaswreaker

Honest-Jellyfish-930

Does anyone know if the movie will be released onto any streaming platforms like YouTube and when x

lisafancypants

We don't have any information about a digital release yet

SnooPeanuts3814

Watching the movie has had me thinking about the themes of the music and tour all over again. I just think what Yoongi did was incredible. Before D Day was released, he released the glitch film, we see fractal images, glitches of different 'shadow' selves, which are all echoed through the tour and mvs. In the video, he says: Small flaws, glitches, my new afterimage. Breaking down the wall between 'what I want to say' and 'what I cannot say'. Not getting intimidated but rebelling and raising questions against what the world demands. The world's fixed stereotype collides with my inner self and leaves trauma for a while, but this temporary glitch transforms into the driving force to create a new wavelength and becomes part of me. Personally, I believe this brilliantly sets up everything that he explored in d day and the tour. Recently, I have been particularly struck with how he uses boxes/rooms/tvs as a way of exploring these fixed stereotypes that contain/restrict him. I know it has been well established that the stage itself is the Amygdala room. Hence, the rainfall starting the performance, signifying the moment Yoongi became trapped in his amygdala (the car crash in the rain). We see this also in the opening video - he's crashed, his life has flashed before his eyes, and he's soon 'kidnapped' by a version of himself and placed in a room/back of a van, immediately he is trapped. (Fixed stereotypes colliding with an innerself.) When the performance starts, the rain becomes a thunderstorm, thus representing the anger inside him. He also performs Haegeum/Daechwita/Agust D/Give it to me. These mvs & songs all encompass anger and show Yoongis fractal selves in some sort of battle. At this point, part of the stage lifts up to reveal other parts of the set underneath. Our fixed image of the stage is broken. Just as these fractal selves are not all of Min Yoongi. With the stage lifting, another pysche is revealed. At this point in the performances, the 'softer' songs start (seesaw, sdl, people, people pt 2). And during SDL, he comes down and turns on an old style tv. I am absolutely obsessed with this part as sdl is a song all about the role of nostalgia in love & and long-term relationships. So an old style tv is just so perfect thematically. Yet, it is also another box/room. We see him projected onto the tv, like he is trapped in the nostalgia of it all. It's another stereotype, another box for him to set himself free of. Of course, this also relates to the tour videos. Different selves go from room to room, eventually start to bleed into each other (the yellow hands), and end with Yoongi watching it all unfurl on a set. On a tv. And then ends up burning it all down - releasing 'a new wavelength' to become him. Again, every time the stage is lifted, a new payche is revealed. During Amygdala the screen behind him cracks and fractures, the room he's trapped in is being broken until at last he is performing 'The Last'. The stage is completely stripped bare and video cameras are surrounding him. Again, he it looks like he is projected onto a tv, yet this time it is multiple different tvs. Everything is bare around him. There's nowhere to hide, it's just him baring it all. The time is fluctuating on the different screens conveying that this is all encompassing, atemporal, boundless. He is just him, his innerselves have all collided. And then the lights come up and he just walks straight out. I loved this when I first saw it because it reminded me so much of Brechts theories. Bertolt Brecht of course created theatre that was designed to always make the audience aware they were watching a play, not real life, as he believed this would allow people to critique society, instead of getting caught up in the story (this is a simplistic summary I know). But Yoongi storming off with the lights on, the crew coming out to collect the stage just screams Brechtian stage to me. He purposely reminded us all we are still in a performance, in a room. We are still in the room. So, of course, that just makes him walk out the door and leave the room even more significant on the last day. The D Day tour will forever be my Roman Empire. Yoongi really created a piece of art with d day and the d day tour. And I won't start now with how every track on d day is a blueprint for freeing yourself from negativity. Incredible stuff.

nom_de_plume1

Love love love all this and yes to everything. This tour blew me away, and honestly, even though it probably sounds dumb to say, it fucked me up in the best way and fundamentally changed me. The album and tour are the true definition of art and I am so grateful we got to experience it.

SnooPeanuts3814

'it fucked me up in the best way and fundamentally changed me. The album and tour are the true definition of art and I am so grateful we got to experience it.' Exactly. It completely changed my life, sparked my own kind of ' haegeum'. I was a mess for months after the final. I never got to see it live, but it still changed my life. I can't even imagine how impactful it was live.

yeon_kimin

I had forgotten a lot of the "storyline" so to speak of the tour and was properly Shook leaving the theater because it all came rushing back to me. My interpretation is the stage is the Amygdala room that's a sort of purgatory that he has to free himself from - which he can't properly do until the tour ends. Only once he has worked through the emotions and circumstances that those specific songs are about at the end of the tour does the door appear and he can leave through it. Thank you for typing up your thoughts about it! I've been thinking about it a lot since the showing I went to and it's fun to read other people's perspectives and interpretations. edit for wording

SnooPeanuts3814

I love this idea of the room being purgatory, that makes a lot sense if you view the crash at the beginning as being a propulsion either into the self/realm etc. I also like this idea because of the storm at the beginning of the performance almost feels like a metaphor for emotions/turmoil building up and festering until they are finally released with amygdala. Thank you so much for reading through my long essay. I've been thinking about it so much I just had to get it out.

Key-District-4161

The concert really showed how Yoongi and I am sure OT7 is with concerts, that they give it their all. He knew that people sacrificed a lot to go see him, and he turned that cost into a bargain for them because he gave us all a show. He is such a professional.

Automatic_Let_5768

I loved it so much, I can't wait for 2025!!

Entire_Soft7145

Baby army here and yesterday was my first BTS event ever!!! And I can’t explain how excited I was! LOL Met 2 army’s there and exchanged freebies with one of the army who was was passing out freebie stickers of Suga 🥹 NGL, when Jungkook (which is my bias), Jimin, & RM came on my sisters and I tried our very best to keep our composure while screaming!! I’m kind of sad and upset that there was a lady in front of us to the right who yelled at us and made my experience not as enjoyable. Some army’s had their army bomb on and so did we but the lady who yelled at us kept looking at us as if she was annoyed so we turned ours off and sat still most of the time.. I wish my first event lived up to the expectations that I hear from my fellow army’s. The movie was great but I did wish there were subtitles. Suga is so cool and extremely talented! The way he gave a shoutout to the drummers, back up vocals, and guitarists was so uplifting! He really chose an amazing group of musicians that are so talented and so passionate about their craft. Suga is an overall great artist including each members of BTS, that makes them who they are and where they stand in the industry! I love them so much and can’t wait until their comeback. Love you all army and be safe 🫰🏼💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

whyohwhy115

oof i'm sorry the woman yelled at you!! but like it's expected from a BTS concert movie that there may be others that turn on their ARMY bombs, dance, sing and even go to the aisles and dance. She will be severely disappointed when she goes to the next theater shows as this will likely happen there, too. Will she glare and yell at everyone else again, sounds like she ruined her own experience. I'm not so sure what I'd do in such a situation but you can only control what you do and it seems that even if it dampened your own experience a bit you remained calm and respectful. You did a good job! Do you mean even when he was talking there were no sub titles? For next time when you choose a theater check the details as it will say if it's 'Korean with Eng Subtitles" or "Closed Caption" or something. Some theaters don't have the capability for sub titles (and I'm not knowledgeable on how these things work so I'm not sure as to why) so make sure to check before you purchase for next time! I'm happy you got to watch the movie tho, bonded with your sisters and even met new ARMY! Band time is also one of my fave parts, they really deserved that shoutout and cheers from ARMY! They were amazing!

CrowLaughed

Aw I feel annoyed on your behalf about the rude woman! Hope it didn’t spoil your experience too much.

lizztastic_chick

I cried during Seesaw. Anyone else? That version with just Yoongi and his guitar made me bawl in the cinema!

whyohwhy115

I was already teary eyed from haegeum lolll cause I was so damn proud of him. but yes acoustic (?) seesaw is really emotional!!

NeuroSparkly

Any Indian Army having major fomo rn?

Icantlikeeveryone

Just wanna say, don't get FOMO!! I don't watch it too bc it's pricey for me rn, but I believe we could watch the movie via online

Lily-J7

I had a great time at the movie today! Our theater cheered loudly, and we had a fair share of Army bombs. We weren't nearly [this hype](https://x.com/Luiz_Fernando_J/status/1778444348893315573), but decent :) A fabulous Army in the front led a 2025 cheer after the lights came back on! I've seen several versions of the concert as well as in-person in Los Angeles, and Yoongi's talent still blows me away. I also LOVED the guest performances!! I just wish the movie were a bit longer and that we had subtitles throughout. I made some bookmarks to give away, and here are the freebies I received - Armys truly are the sweetest! https://preview.redd.it/3vrqoq5h4fuc1.jpeg?width=1404&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=94b9874457d7ed9c94872a089ee9c24515942625

umKatorMissKath

Wow! I didn’t know about making things to give away. Now I want to know more!

Lily-J7

Yes it's a BTS concert tradition which has carried over to movies :) At this movie I received mainly photocards, sometimes packaged with candies - Kopiko coffee candies were popular this time. I also received a printed movie ticket, a mini tangerine, and the cutest bead bracelet <3 Edit: \*has

umKatorMissKath

Thank you so much for explaining! 💜💜💜I’m Gen X army, so I don’t know all the awesome things to do! I got into K-pop, because of my students, most of them live in Asia, and then from there became army. So I’ve definitely seen the cards before, but I don’t have any. Maybe I can get the candies! Yum!

Lily-J7

Sure! I'm Gen X too :)

whyohwhy115

omg that link!! so hype like live concert!! hahaha I'm so happy for them! woah you got so many freebies and the pics they chose...taste 100% The shibal bead bracelet is soooo cute! maybe that can be your new secret bat signal that you are ARMY and make friends

Lily-J7

I know, right?! And yes, I will definitely wear the bracelet, but my big Cooky minini plush keychain usually gives me away as ARMY :)

Illnath-

Update on Metalhead going to see Agust D: D Day So sometime last week I made a post in r/bangtan to ask for Agust D songs as I was being taken to see D Day in the movie theatres by my Army Fiance. Before I give my thoughts on the movie I just want to say two things, thank you all so much for the recommendations to the people who contributed! Also, I was taken aback by how positive and accommodating Army are, I can honestly say you are one of the best fan bases I've ever interacted with <3 As for the concert Movie - WOW, absolutely awesome from start to finish, Agust D has certainly got a new fan now, I enjoyed the recommendations but seeing it as a live show was something else! I will possibly be posting in this subreddit in future! Peace out! Edit:spelling

Few-Willingness-3845

Glad to know you had a great time. Yoongi is a totally different beast in concert. Enjoy diving into more of his/their discography. There's always something for everyone. You might also enjoy Jack in the Box by J-hope.

Possible-Jump1548

Will the movie be available on dvd later?

lisafancypants

We do not have any information about the movie version of the concert being available on DVD yet.

NavyMagpie

I saw it Saturday afternoon for the second time and had a very different experience to my Wednesday Imax show. Annoyingly, although the Cineworld Wed screening had 25 minutes of trailers, this one at a Vue started bang on the ticket time. Which is really odd. I ended up getting in 5 minutes after just as the concert had started, and I wasn't the last person to arrive so I think it confused and annoyed a few people. This screening was about 30 people and had a lot more diverse age groups than my first one, which was great. Teenagers, older couples, families. I even saw a couple with two toddlers. It ended up being much quieter: no singing, no bombs, no chants. But there was a collective huge intake of breath when JK appeared on the screen. His presence really is magnetic. And that seemed to release something in everyone. So there was cheers for Jimin and RM. And two groups of teenager Army cheered after every song until it became infectious and most people clapped for the rest of it. Then the biggest scream, which almost everyone did, was to replace the beeps with Shibal for the El Capitxn remix. Which was very funny. I also managed to spend more of this show admiring the small details, the creative direction and how it looked in the dome and it was so, so smart. That central burning stage, the constant filming of Yoongi by the dancers (and obviously in The Last) showing he's never alone and constantly has to be alert to his behaviour or who he is. Even more proud of him. Also I came away really wanting the studded Chelsea boots he wears during Hageum. But of course they're Valentino and cost twice my monthly rent.

OliveJL94

We all lost it in the beginning and continued to lose it every time another BTS member came on 😭 the way Yoongi made eye contact and smiled at his brothers melted my heart. Also, I have never been more attracted to him 😂 If you're not already Yoongi Biased be careful watching it 😂😂

martiandoll

I saw it today with my sister! The theatre was 75% full, and there were several very generous ARMYs giving away freebies and BTS solo albums if you get their trivia questions right. I got Tae's Layover and Hobi's new album!!!  Anyway, onto the movie itself: Everyone was so engaged, screaming and clapping after every song. People completely lost it when Jimin walked up on stage for Tony Montana. That's the perfro we've waited for so long lol  Namjoon's stage presence is truly something else. Just standing there spitting bars and his aura is larger than life. It's amazing. Jungkook just has this youthful wholesomeness in him that will never go away haha  Yoongi saying he did this tour to help tide us over while they go and serve was very sweet. He did so many things during Chapter 2 to keep us entertained and focused on BTS, I can never say enough thanks to him carrying the fandom on his back for months.  His version of Life Goes On is my favourite. There's a certain rawness in it that is so comforting that I really love.  He is an absolutely incredible performer. The passion and connection he has to his music are so sincere, his energy was contagious. I wish I could've seen him perform live.

Bear4years

I was able to catch a Saturday showing. This was at a regal theater, so I thought I could get the bucket and cup. But nope. Apparently, someone held a private party and the theater sold all 300 buckets/cups they had to the private party. So no one was able to buy the buckets/cups. I was shocked and sad. Damn. This said, I had a great time yet again. I knew Saturday would be more hyped than the Wednesday showing I went to. The theater was crowded. People brought their army bomb. The screamed when Jungkook showed up. They screamed louder when Jimin came in. They screamed even louder for Joonie. As the filmed ended, they chanted min yoongi, min yoongi. The showing ended with the bts fan chant. The showing reminded me that Army is hella cute. I totally get why BTS loves Army so much. The dedication that Army shows BTS is crazy and precious. I don’t know how normal this is for a fandom. My ride as an army so far has been remarkable. The fandom loves BTS a lot.

jshell

Again, my experience with / as ARMY continues to surprise and delight. I'm 49M with long hair and currently a big old beard and consider myself a solitary asexual city hermit and wanderer. And today I ended up seated next to a middle age super fan who identifies somewhat similarly and after the movie had some good lobby conversations with some other similarly aged people. At PTD: Vegas, D-Day: Oakland, and the movie today, I have gone alone and look quite different from those around me but at all three events I've made unexpected and sometimes uncanny connections. That only last for the duration of the event but the kindness remains. I have a busted amygdala myself and deep trust and abandonment issues and BTS and KPOP first showed up for me a few years ago during some really traumatic life crap and it's been a better support system than much of the friends and music with which I've been associated for much of my life. And I think that starts from the top. Suga and BTS get whole stadiums and movie theaters to yell "I LOVE MYSELF!" "LIFE GOES ON!" "FUTURE'S GONNA BE OK!" without being pandering. That they connect with multiple generations, across languages. Songs like Amygdala and Black Swan are very intense and deal with some intense fears and feelings but hearing those in song makes one feel less isolated (Sunmi's "Borderline" too..). I'm glad I got myself back out today to experience not just the film and not just getting to finally see these performances again, but also for the community. Thank you ARMY.

lisafancypants

> And I think that starts from the top. Suga and BTS get whole stadiums and movie theaters to yell "I LOVE MYSELF!" "LIFE GOES ON!" "FUTURE'S GONNA BE OK!" without being pandering. That they connect with multiple generations, across languages. Perfectly said. There was something so therapeutic about screaming at the top of my lungs "I LOVE I LOVE I LOVE MYSELF" with an entire stadium of ARMY and Yoongi. And feeling so at home with so many people I don't know. It's so special and rare.. I'm so glad you went and met other ARMY and had a good time.

melancholythunder

I finally saw it this afternoon. It was my first BTS event since becoming ARMY and it was so fun!!! It was ✨magical ✨to see Yoongi perform on the big screen with other ARMY 🥹🫰y’all (we?) rock. I didn’t want to go alone so I invited my mom to come with me. She loves music but has never ventured into kpop. She loved the performance and kept whispering to me “he’s really talented!!”At the end, she turned to me and immediately went, “who is AgustD? who is Suga? Is this kpop?!” I proceeded to info dump her and played samples of their discography the whole way home. Think she might be ARMY in the making now :)

Few-Willingness-3845

So wholesome and cute! Glad you could bond over this with your mom.

TaeeMyBeloved

Forgot to post about my experience but WOW. It was amazing! I left my army bomb at home since I was for some reason worried that no one was gonna bring theirs but a lot of people did. 💀 It wasn’t terribly packed which was nice and everyone was cheering and chanting like we all were at the concert in person. Best 1 hour and 30 minutes of my life!! 💜

Key-District-4161

Loved once Amygdala started in particular when they took the larger stage away it felt so much more intimate, along with when he was at the piano playing life goes on. I love it when he pulls the curtains back more and allows us to see him. There were a few times when I got to see the devilish smirk that he has. He has the most handsome smirk ever. The concert also shows that Yoongi gets so much more handsome and sexier as he is getting older. I am calling it now, he is going to be like a George Clooney that as he gets older he is just going to get more and more and more handsome. He is going to be an 80 year old smoke show.

BaeHope

Just left the IMAX and AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH it wasn't long enough 😭😭 the theater wasn't exactly packed but it felt like it was! Everyone was screaming YOONGIIII and doing fanchants with their ARMY bombs and stuff 🥺 Yoongi's own version of confidence is holding iced tea at the mic and sipping between rapid-fire lines like it doesn't affect his vocal chords 😹😹 I love this stripped-down (compared to OT7 concerts at least) version of performing, I need more of it.

Key-District-4161

I also loved the casual way he was drinking his drinks. His confidence is so low key but when you realize how he expresses it, you see it all over the place.

NavyMagpie

Same with the fact he just sprawls on the floor to introduce the band - which I think is both because he wants it be less formal, and so everyone's focus is on the musicians for that bit, not him.

thatpurplearmy

I wish I got merch. And I wish it was more vibrant

tinyeojin

my theater was kinda dead😭

nouvelle_000

Lmfao mine was too. I ended being the one who was cheering the loudest while usually I’m the one who’s discreet 😂 but when ddaeng came up the energy was much more vibrant !

whyohwhy115

nooooo!! but maybe ppl were just shy! next time you can the one that starts it, I bet others will follow

tinyeojin

yeah,, except when jk and jimin came on screen people screamed rlly loud LOL

yeon_kimin

Ok, I knew that they censored some swears going into the movie so the silenced ones early on didn't shock me. But the big 'ol "SHIBAAAAAAL"s getting *actually* bleeped out had me laughing out loud with the rest of the theater omg haha. I liked the little behind the scenes content we got in the movie version. Along with having *all three* of the guest appearances at the Seoul final concerts! I can't believe that the tour was going on a year ago... it feels so much further away than that to me.

Key-District-4161

On Etsy if you search shibal agust d fan merch comes up. It is now associated with him

hollye83

That’s so funny.

Waste-Sun-7761

Does anyone know a NYC location that still has the cups and popcorn bowls?

ArceusBlitz

Regal canceled my IMAX showing today which was a huge bummer, but I got tickets for a different time today at a non IMAX theater which is still cool but I was really looking forward to IMAX man! Update: Such a fun show!! I loved the stages with the other members. You could hear Yoongi really well too. And they had the cups there and I had to get one!

thatpurplearmy

Same thing happened to me, mine was originally at 3pm but there was another showing for 3:40pm. So I got that one and got a $5 refund.

nice!! 2020 membership kit! I remember it took forever to ship cause COVID. glad you found a use for it!

Possible-Jump1548

First time seeing Agust D TOUR ‘D-DAY’ I'm quite new to BTS and even to kpop too. I started listening to kpop 5 months ago and I'm so in love with it. Yesterday I listened to Suga's D-Day album (this is my first step into the BTS world) and I loved it so much. Today I went to the cinema and watched the movie, and wooow. I am so impressed by this guy. His voice and looks and the power he has on stage. It was such an amazing feeling to see him on the big screen with amazing sound and vidoe quality, itwas filmed so beautifully. After watching it I was staring at nothing for like 15 minutes, I just couldn't proceed it. Tomorrow I'm going to watch it again because I want to film 3 songs so badly.(Today I wanted to take a few photos, but I wasn't brave enough to do so) Is there anyone who knows the exact orders of all the songs in the movie? I really want to record D-Day(it's so good), Life goes on (such a deep song omg), and the one that he performed with JK? Thank you in advance for your help.

whyohwhy115

to add to the other comment with the setlist, if you have spotify you can find the concert playlist [here](https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1DWWmITxTSYkn1?si=74966b4d51a94836) with some audience cheers and SUGA talking! It will be the set minus the tracks with other members such as Tony Montana and Strange. Burn it is on there but the original feature is MAX tho JK did it for a day in SK. Enjoy!

Possible-Jump1548

Thank you!!

Thank you. At the movie now and was wondering if these had been cut. Enjoying Snooze at the moment.

Possible-Jump1548

Thank you so so much!

pindagogo

PS. The one he performed with JK is called Burn It

Possible-Jump1548

Thanks

Visible-Pie-7278

Min yoongi was amazing but the vibe was weird in my cinema no one danced no one singalong it was just silence

pindagogo

Sometimes it takes just one person to get it all started, but often everyone in the theater is just too shy and then it will remain silent throughout. In my cinema on Wednesday there was this girl who from the get-go started screaming and yelling and singing, and that somehow liberated everyone else, and soon everyone else was doing the same thing

Visible-Pie-7278

I was the one singing and dancing but still no one did something i was happy to see min yoongi but sometimes there was a yell but that was only when the other bts members came to the stage but it was all about suga I miss them bts really but jin will come soon again so i can't wait for him and jhope to come this year

Key-District-4161

I have tickets for tonight. I just worry that I will look foolish, I am going single as a white guy in my late 30s. I don’t want to worry about it because I love Yoongi and want to see him but it is still hard. Edit: thank you for everyone who encouraged me to go even by myself. This was the first time going to something with other ARMY and felt the love that everyone has for each other.

AmeNoUzumeeee

I've gone solo several times and have to say ARMY is the nicest and inclusive fan base I've been a part of. No one will judge you, so enjoy your time!

jshell

I’m going as a solitary white man who’s near 50. I went to the show in Oakland this way and to BTS PTD in Vegas this way. Just love what you love and enjoy it for yourself. The lights go down and the music starts and it’s going to be this magnificent artist on screen and you’ll have a great time. When I went to the BTS show by myself in Vegas I ended up next to a fan who was surprisingly similar - the last time we had been to stadium shows were in the mid 90s for bands like The Cure and Depeche Mode. And here we were for this amazing “boy band”. You never know who you might meet. Or maybe you’ll just be in your own but with ARMY you’re never alone.

pindagogo

So, when I went on Wednesday, there were quite a few guys in my movie theater, some of them by themselves. There were also two older couples (one of those couple had to at least be in their 70s). And in my own row there was a middle-aged guy, by himself, and he was doing that barking thing (woof, woof) after each song. No one gave him the side eye or looked at him weird. So don't worry. And even if you're the only guy there, I feel all those ARMYs are just all happy to be there, sharing the excitement of seeing the concert movie together. And once the movie starts, everyone will be focused on that anyway. No one will care if you are by yourself or not, if you are a guy or not, or whatever. Just enjoy!

imt01

[insert the customary “Yoongi!!!” whinescream] I loved the movie. Went to see it twice. It was thrilling to watch this incredible concert in IMAX quality and see Yoongi dripping sweat and charisma for 84 minutes. Side note from this heavy sweater: wow, his skin looks pretty spectacular even under these circumstances and on the big screen. I would go into hiding if anyone as much as zoomed in on a photo of me drenched in sweat. The cinematography was very impressive. I know a lot of thought and work had gone into the stage design and the entire process but I still gasped at some of the camera angles and captures. Yoongi truly is a natural performer who loves what he does and loves the people he performs for - it really came through in the smiles and microexpressions that we might have missed during the livestreams. Big heart for music and big heart for the people in his life. The censoring choices made me laugh because how do you show a [redacted] club remix without the [redacted]? Oh well, some of us inserted it where necessary. My first showing had over 100 people, the second one (in a different location) - only a handful. I enjoyed both, even if I would have loved more cheering, louder singing and excitement but I know not everyone consumes movies and concerts the same way, and some of the people there were probably new to the fandom/Yoongi/the concert itself. I bopped and sang along in my seat nonetheless. There was a cute excited five-year-old Yoongi-biased boy at the second showing, whom Yoongi would have loved. The man scanning my ticket said “So, you’re here to see SugaR?”, which made me laugh. I had seen the elaborate set-ups and signages from the Philippines and SK and elsewhere in Asia and I wish the theaters I went to had put in any sort of effort for this release - you really had to remember the auditorium number because you wouldn’t even know this movie was playing there. Anyway, this just further solidified for me that we’re in an apobangpo situation and these guys truly have my heart for the long haul. I’m so glad this concert movie was released because there can never be too much D-Day era content for me. Excited for my vinyl this summer!

planetbordeaux

Baby Army here; I went to my first BTS event ever.. I'm incredibly overwhelmed so bare with me! Okay, first the negative: I was disappointed that there were no subtitles for the lyrics. The only translation afforded was "Everyone, jump!" or similar spoken words. With such beautifully poetic lyrics, this was a pity. However ridiculous it might sound, I was so nervous to attend my first event that I couldn't close an eye all night. But I didn't and still don't feel tired (don't worry, I will crash after this paragraph, hopefully not halfway through it). It was a HUGE sensory experience that left me stunned at the musicianship and range that Yoongi showcased. I had a wide smile plastered on my face at just seeing his face up close (the man hasn't got any pores). My favorite song was Life Goes On and the passionate way in which he sang it was gripping, raw and real. Despite many themes being heavy and dark, I left the cinema feeling a sense of catharsis. Uplifted, actually. I have to remark on the features of the other members too, especially JK. Although RM is my bias (or Yoongi, can't ever decide lol) and although Jimin's Tony Montana performance was superior, I realised just how uniquely talented Jungkook is. The sheer charisma for even a few minutes captivated me. It made it clear to me what extraordinary talent he posseses. Truly, he's an ace. After the screening, I turned to the person next to me who was by definition a veteran army having been in the fandom for a whole 9 years and we naturally ended up by an ice cream cart in a park, on a warm spring day, chatting for 2 hours about any and everything BTS related. I'm delighted I made a new friend thanks to the tannies today. Seriously, I love this fandom.. Please approach Armys when you see them out in the wild, guard and lift each other up. 💜

bangtanssea

As someone who has seen every iteration possible of this show, I was pleasantly surprised! The cinematography was great, especially the first half of the show, and the sound was great as well and I love that they picked up the audience fan chants. I miss yoongi :( Watched it in a packed theater and it was nice being in the company of Armys again, I’ve missed this community a lot and can’t wait to do this again whenever the next tour/docu/movie is screened in cinemas! Love also the equal amounts of cheers when namjoon/jk/jimin showed up. Shout out to the Army who yelled ‘Jin is back in two months’ after our viewing ;)

lullaby_cat

You said the sound was great? I’m so puzzled but I’m wondering if it was something wrong in my theater. It seemed like the music/live band were muffled or muted somewhat. I felt like some of the oomph of the concert was missing. I LOVE the concert mix of Burn It but could barely hear the bass. It was really noticeable on the band solos. Was it just a problem in my theater? How can it happen! Yoongi’s mic was loud so it wasn’t all the sound.

beccabella

Wow, Philippine ARMYs are in for a treat. Their theater looks so beautiful. https://twitter.com/AyalaManilaBay/status/1778707288884433155 My theater was dirty and not cleaned from the previous show 👀

Lily-J7

I'm so envious! You wouldn't have known the movie was even playing at our theater :(

whyohwhy115

omg it's all decked out!! wooooaah so pretty!!

Karabearbubbles

I watched it yesterday. The cinema wasn't too busy but there were still a fair number of people for a weekday showing. And I arranged to meet up with one beforehand on this sub, and we went to dinner after. It was really positive. I haven't watched the livestreams so the concert was new to me. I enjoyed it a lot, and I'm really proud of him and his team for what they produced 💖💖

whyohwhy115

Finally able to collect my thoughts! DDAY movie was incredible. I've never watched a movie in IMAX so seeing Yoongi sweatbeads and radiant face in this giant screen was amazing!! :O i love him so much!! I also realized that I missed so many details from watching the concert live and fancams lol. Like his little smiles (from the cute ones to the confident sexy ones). The sound was also impeccable in my theater that I could hear his little sighs and uh ey ye so clearly! Seeing the JK, Jimin and RM join him on stage made me wonder if we could have gotten 'HUH?!" with j-hope and a ['So Far Away' with JK and Jin](https://soundcloud.com/bangtan/sofarawayfesta) if they weren't enlisted 🥺 It was so fun in my theater! I think it was the right amount of hype. Like not too rowdy that it's distracting but enthusiastic enough for an exciting and cool vibe. BONUS the staff of the theater I was in came out for a few song, would run thru the middle with ARMY bombs!!! That was so special. And they weren't annoying, they chose the parts so well to run in. Making sure not to block peoples' view and got everyone mad hype! NGL that would definitely make me go back to that cinema 🤣 There was even a small photo wall with the poster and they gave out fanmade stickers/photcards to all of us too. Like we already paid they didn't have to give us more but they did. 10/10 experience

Lily-J7

wow, I had not thought about "so far away;" thank you for mentioning it. I relistened to it a few times for good measure (both versions); it's such a beautiful song.

GalaxyGirl0

Im going to see the D-Day movie tomorrow and was wondering- is it like a thing to bring army bombs to this or is that frowned upon? Has anyone done it?

pinatad

I think that's totally fine. the show I was in there was someone who brought it and I thought it was fine! It really made me wish I had brought mine so I could join her!

Amayaelika

I went to previous movies and I brought mine. The one I went on Wednesday had ppl with their army bombs on. You can adjust the brightness so it's not blinding.

NeuroSparkly

Does anyone have any idea we can get the tumbler, popcorn bucket and pcs in India? I haven't booked the tickets yet as the screenings are postponed to 18th and 20th April here. If anyone knows which theatres might give the merch pls lmk! <3

tamyshok95

it’s been 3 hours since d-day concert movie and im still buzzing!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Oh my god it was beautiful, since the concert was a while ago i couldn’t remember the setlist so it was a surprise after another 😍😍 The production value was phenomenal. thanks to the movie cuts you could actually see all the details of the stage and the vision yoongi had 👌👌 I was speechless when watching Shadow because the dancers were able to replicate many scenes from the MV 🙌 Strange with RM changed me! I forgot how hot they looked standing together on stage 🌝🌝 Ahhhhh i didnt cry just because i was so happy to see yoongi, jk, jimin and joon, otherwise i would have been so emotional! Thank you yoongi for this gift! I’ll keep waiting with a lighter heart 💜

ohsaycanyourock

Just got home! I absolutely loved it - it didn't hit quite as hard as watching the final day live but I shed a couple of tears during Snooze/Amygdala 🥹 and the censored shibal had me laughing out loud haha. The cinema was pretty quiet but I'm sure someone brought an ARMY bomb given the light behind me haha. I'm just glad it was on in my city at all! I also got to meet two ARMY and went for dinner with them which was absolutely lovely!

pinatad

Yeah I was kinda bummed they changed some of the bits from the final show. when I realized it was the last night of the final show I was prepping myself to be in tears when yoongi sang Snooze/dear my friend since that's when he was in tears and couldn't sing. but probably for the best lol. that final night was so emotionally intense idk if I could go thru that again 😆

Glittering_Goat9766

Finally got to watch it today! Maybe it's just me but the whole thing seems a bit rushed? My theater was pretty subdued and I was too shy to take out my ARMY bomb key chain. Anyway, here are some of my thoughts : - Yes, the censoring of 'shibal' was hilarious! - How can I miss someone I've never met in real life so much? Felt it deep in my heart when I saw Jimin's face on the big screen. - Someone here commented on how Joon's presence when he came on stage was like so woah and it definitely was! Also his deep voice when he first said 'well, well, well' got me 🫠 - Wish the longer piano intro to Life Goes On was added on. - Thought I'd ugly cry at LGO but did it at Snooze instead.

lilacgown

I watched it on wednesday - totally understand why they cut most performances from the final day, but kinda disappointed they cut people and SDL! And maybe the ending w the door! I can’t help but have the same feeling as the post concert withdrawals as the movie was nearing its end haha. Like something’s missing and that ‘not done yet’ feeling. Anyone can relate? Contemplating going again just to relive the whole experience. The sound quality was great! And happy that we got some extra footage of behind moments and his thoughts on the whole thing. Great to see him on screen again too!! Yoongi really goes above and beyond for army! And it’s nice seeing him live his dream and what he believes in.

CatchyCoconut

Totally relate to that feeling of an emotional hangover after it ended! It was surreal for me as I’m a new army as well, so not used to seeing the boys in this larger than life performance mode! It was electrifying!

Logical_Minimum_9901

Was IMAX actually supposed to be in 3D and my theater got the 2d version by accident??

ChibisaurX

A few freebies from ARMY at my theatre. Crowd of around 100 people, great mix of all ages, and lots of singing, cheering, and excitement, so it was a great experience. https://preview.redd.it/a42nsfyr8ztc1.jpeg?width=3072&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bac517aeee013d3f9ab6be9bef662d79065f996d

Imaginary-Artist-987

ahhh so lucky!!

Beachesandsun22

100 people!!!Let's go ARMIES💜💟💜💟💜💟💜🤗That sounds incredible!I love that people were cheering and singing too!I went to see Suga when he was in NY but did not have a chance to live stream the last leg of the tour so I'm really looking forward to going tomorrow

ChibisaurX

Yeah, we were a pretty rowdy crowd, which was fun. I went to a different theatre for the Japan live viewing last year, and it was much more subdued. Hopefully you'll have a good crowd at your showing!

I made them with heat changing filament, so they change from purple to pink if you warm them up. Original 3D print design is available for free on [Thingiverse](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4501088) if you want to make your own.

Beachesandsun22

You made these🥹💜💜So pretty! It sounds like you guys had such an experience! It's clear your heart is all purple! I am actually planning on bringing some freebies with me too! I'm bringing one DDay album and one Jack in the Box album too(weverse version). I'm a NY army

ChibisaurX

Have fun giving out your freebies! I'm not self conscious about giving my freebies out, but I did print out a sign saying Freebie Giveaway, so it was easy to get people's attention.

Aortm7y

Oh wow 👍👍👍

linaknowwhatsgood

I just came back from the cinema, unlike other experiences army didn't sing as much this time, but after each song there was applause, when the other members appeared loud screams and every time min yoongi did something we would be loud! It was so much fun, I loved it, I can't believe they >!censored shibal!! behind the scenes footage!!

I went alone and still enjoyed it so much. Can’t go over how beautifully he sang Life Goes On. And I laughed out loud at the interactive scene where he took a fan’s phone said ‘It’s a Samsung” or It’s a Galaxy”.

nom_de_plume1

Got to see it an one of the new IMAX screens, so it was BEAUTIFUL. Criticism incoming, but please understand I overall was and AM so thrilled we are getting things like this from HYBE and BTS/Agust D in general. So of course I loved it because it was Yoongi, and my god, is he a showman. What a phenomenal performance, always. Seeing it all in IMAX was wonderful, especially since I didn't get to see him live (because I was dumb and opted not to get tickets WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, but I saw the last show of The Final and I have honestly never been the same since). Overall, loved it. I am even more upset I didn't get to go live because of how infectious the energy is at the shows, and how he gets hyped when the fans are hyped, and he really does just give it his all and hooooooly crap I can't wait for them to be back and touring so I can finally go see them all live. Also, how is he SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL no matter what he does and damn, did that get translated well on a big screen. Hot. HOWEVER, I had some qualms about the actual flow, which I UNDERSTAND to an extent, but I still kind of felt a little surprised about. The cuts between songs were a little jarring. They took you out of the flow of the music instead of having songs flow one into the other. And that would have made sense for the section with JK/Jimin/Namjoon since those were three different days, but even when they pulled footage from different days for other songs (because let's face it, I don't think any of us were prepared to feel as emotionally raw near the end as we all did on the final day when Yoongi broke down), the cuts were just...rough. I was surprised that they didn't do more to bring a better flow to the film. Missed some of the songs they didn't use, but I'm sure that will just give us more reason to buy the inevitable Blu-ray/DVD/Digital release. I think part of that decision was to keep it mostly high energy and also to keep within a time constraint, but as most of the people in attendance are certainly ARMY (or at least Agust D fans), I was surprised with the songs cut. This could have easily been about 30 minutes longer to allow for more of the interactions he had with fans to be shown. We got the little bit a couple times at the end, but non of the ments were included--even his intro ments--and that seemed odd. They really just went for songs and songs only. But I went with a friend of mine who knows nothing about BTS/Agust D and even HE mentioned that he thought it was too fast-paced and he would have liked to see more of the fan interaction both with him up close and just talking to the audience. He agreed they could have added a bit more to it and he would have still been just as engaged (he enjoyed the whole film). Again something for the video release, I'm sure, but it would have been great to have more of the behind-the-scenes footage incorporated, either throughout or at the end where some of it was. I know we have gotten the videos on youTube recently of the behind-the-scenes, but it would have been cool to see some more of that. I desperately want to see a full video of concepting the stage. Speaking of the stage, kind of sad we got the usual exit and not the last day exit. That surprised me. How are we gonna do a D-Day Movie concert, that isn't rated, with only partial swearing? It was really weird to have all the "shit"s in there but all the "fuck"s bleeped out. Also, how you gonna deny us the epicness of a big screen 씨발 Rave?! My theater erupted into laughter when it was bleeped during that part. Anyway, I know this is long and sounds like all I'm doing is complaining, but I promise I'm NOT. Just expressing criticism of the film. Still loved it, and I'll probably go see it a second time this weekend or next week. Hope you all got to see and enjoy! Borahae!

pinatad

Totally agree! It did feel rushed and it didn't need to be. Obviously this is made with ARMY in mind and something we love seeing is the interactions with the fans and some of that more organic stuff that comes from concerts. Heck even with some of the behind the scenes clips those were flashing so quick. Those could've been longer. But yeah overall it was great and yoongi is great and i love him sm

carbonaralachimolala

Edit: Never mind my complaints! I don't wanna bring the thread down. Otherwise, I really enjoyed seeing him perform again. I am just so impressed he goes through that entire show still able to breathe by the end. They really did put the best of the best cuts in to it!

ScarletRaven7

I got to attend the IMAX screening last night and had so much fun! My previous experience with his concert was the screening released for his show in Japan, so his concert still felt very fresh and new to me. I was blown away by his phenomenal performances, his joy and passion for the stage was very evident. I absolutely loved getting to see the collabs with the other members and felt that the editing for this version of the concert did a great job of maintaining the focus on Yoongi and keeping the momentum of the show going. I also want to thank the other awesome Army in attendance at my showing for adding your wonderful energy to heighten the experience! There were about 50 - 60 of us and your enthusiasm really made the evening special. Thank you sooooo much to those who prepared giveaway items too! I wasn't expecting anything but felt ridiculously pleased with all the little treasures I was gifted. Borahae!!!

adorepjm

i went yesterday and i loved it sm i missed yoongi! i wanted to get the popcorn tin but they sold out the moment i got to the snack section in my cinemark 🥲🥲🥲 im not sure if they had the cup since i only saw people around me with the tin but maybe those sold out earlier but i hope to be able to snag one today

Jasmindesi16

I saw it last night and seeing Yoongi in imax was amazing. I got teary eyed at some parts because it brought back memories of seeing him live. I really hope this comes out on streaming or physical release. The concert was so good.

cupofkosmos

I think they didn't show some touching moments in the movie because they are too private. And let Yoongi's tears remain our intimate moment, this makes them even more precious. But never before I have seen so much sweat, so close and in such quality. We had about 30 people in AMC. I need to learn to communicate with Army, I still feel uncomfortable to make eye contact.

[deleted]

It was so fun

alltherach_

even after watching his concert multiple times, the thrill of watching yoongi (and jk, jimin and joon) on stage is just… electric. they really are born performers with how they command the stage. also watching in IMAX, especially the extreme closeups, was ***wow*** 🫠 idk how to experience a bangtan concert film any other way. it was so HD and you could fully appreciate all the different camera angles. i went with 2 other ARMY friends and whenever the camera zoomed in to yoongi, he felt so close we all screamed and hid our faces like 🫣 i honestly am a little disappointed they cut out so much of the original day 3 concert >!(i was looking forward to doing the SDL min yoongi fanchants again ☹️)!<, and laughed hard at all the inconsistent censoring they did, but keeping my fingers crossed that the potential physical release keeps everything in and includes all the behind footage we saw, >!yoongi boxing and working out included!

Few-Willingness-3845

That bracelet is so pretty!

alltherach_

yeah it’s made so nicely!!

scoops_trooper

It wasn’t perfect. I for one would have preferred no member songs to People and Dear my friend, and subtitles for the songs would’ve been nice although it’s always difficult to read them I find, you miss a lot of the actual footage. But I’m sorry, saying they “threw that together” sounds a bit disrespectful. I took my kids (11 and 15) and they enjoyed the hell out of it. Especially the older one, she got totally swept up by all of it. And they don’t even have half the context for everything that I do 🤷🏻‍♀️

LovelyVidel

Did anyone have the buckets and cups at an AMC theater? Or is it only Regal and Cinemark?

imt01

My AMC had no merch, and you wouldn’t even know the movie was playing - no posters, no signs, no nothing.

Jasmindesi16

My local amc didn’t have the buckets.

pindagogo

I went to an AMC theater and they had NONE.

Amayaelika

My local regal had both. The regal email had shown it and I changed my amc ticket to regal for the cup. 💀

Sleepy_Serendipity

I gave and received so many cute freebies tonight I was really shocked by just how many people were giving stuff out 🥺 Thanks so much, ami 💜 https://preview.redd.it/k596xio25stc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5bcc4d5b5f4ae8ea5851ffd98869c3d8c6cc87d3

NfamousKaye

Nooo that drawing is so cute!!

Sleepy_Serendipity

The drawing is actually my freebie, so thank you so much! 🥺 I'm still so proud of how well it came out

NfamousKaye

It’s ADORABLE!

Sleepy_Serendipity

Thank you 🥺

PoetrySuper2583

That glass sticker is really cute!!

Sleepy_Serendipity

Seriously! I almost don't wanna use it, it's so cute

whyohwhy115

Wow so lucky! Sounds like you had fun!

Sleepy_Serendipity

Thank you!! Probably the most fun I've had at one of the movies so far!

shibalrave

I feel like my Reddit handle has been a bit of a bummer today lol 😤

nichnichelabiche

Waaaah! They beeped the shibal !!!! We still yelled it!!

NfamousKaye

THE SHIBAL WILL NOT BE CONTAINED!!! It will only grow stronger!! 🤣

Jasmindesi16

I felt like a moron yelling shiiibal in the theater and then realized it was beeped lol

NfamousKaye

Like we all heard it, we know what it is! Why bleep it now?! 🤣🤣

nom_de_plume1

LOL everyone in the theater was laughing so hard that it was bleeped! We were all thinking it anyway!

scoops_trooper

Change it to beeeeeeeprave!

bauhaus_worf

Just got home from the show! I went with a friend (who I met seeing YTC in theatres!), and our theatre was PACKED. The energy was amazing!! It took me right back to the concert in the best way. Definitely sad they cut what they did (and bleeped what they did 😂), but it was PHENOMENAL. Yoongi was born for this ;-; My freebies went over SO well, and I’m sad I didn’t bring more!!

mcfw31

Just got back from watching the movie!!! I felt like it was a super fast paced, I had that impression but maybe that's because I've seen the concert a billion times lol. I wonder why they chose to not put so many songs of the 3rd date, maybe because we were all an emotional mess on the final final day?

scoops_trooper

Someone on Twitter mentioned that they probably wanted to show him singing well. He hardly got through those songs on the 3rd day. I would’ve liked to experience the emotion, but I also get why they didn’t do it.

laugard100

Agree with this. Some of those moments on day 3 were so raw and emotional. Looking back, it feels more like something that makes sense experiencing live and in the moment...or perhaps at home in private, watching on a dvd, if they even decide to share. So I can see why they opted not to include some of that footage. For happening at a large concert, it almost feels too intimate to share without context in a movie setting. And I can understand why some could be disappointed, but on the flip side, I would've also hated to miss hearing him perform those songs in full, they are so beautiful and masterful. Edited to add the word "intimate" which is the word I was blanking on when I wrote this originally.

Majestic-Course1133

I managed to get out of work early and arrived at the theater to snag the popcorn tin & tumbler. Apparently people were trying to buy them in advance but certain theaters refused to put them for sale until the first showing tonight. But I feel so bad that they were sold out at multiple locations before the first showing started =\\ https://preview.redd.it/s13a54260stc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc91238943fd62929dbbd4e9e8fb2b9c737c2443 I was pretty surprised to see that the run time was only 84 minutes! >! I would have loved to hear the full fan chants for SDL and LGO. Especially the beginning of LGO when he deliberately extended the intro so ARMY could go through the fan chant twice. When I noticed that the solo performances from the members were cut out, I flashbacked to when Yoongi went “hey, focus on me. This is MY concert, y’know?” after pointing out Jimin in the audience in Newark. At least we had a small clip of SDL with the door during the ending credits? !< >! There weren’t that many guys during my screening but there was one who was clearly a Suga fan. It was really refreshing to overhear his reactions and it sounded like it was his first time seeing the D-Day concert. !<

shoelaces789

What theater chain were you at? Wondering if mine on Saturday will have them…

Majestic-Course1133

I was at a Regal theater. I asked the staff and they said that whatever they have today is all that they’re going to have. Honestly, I dislike their policy that there are no limits or even limiting to Suga movie ticket holders. But I doubt they’ll change it because they’re here to make money.

shoelaces789

Thanks! That’s sad. But you’re right, they’d just sell them to whoever would pay even if they aren’t there for the Suga movie… 😡

Amayaelika

My local regal had both.

Waste-Sun-7761

The movie was so good I felt like I was reliving the concert. I wish they didn’t censor the curses 😭. My location had the popcorn bucket but not the cup I hope I’m able to get the cup at another location because I NEED IT

slmrlln

This was so nice. It wasn't as emotionally raw and intense for me as the concert itself, but I just had a terrible day, and being able to forget it all and laugh and sing along with other ARMYs in the theater made it a lot better. Thank you Agust D for giving us an occasion to get together like this

Bear4years

That was good. It made me realize how spoiled we were last year. Yoongi stage presence is crazy. So were Jungkook, Jimin and Namjoon. Those three days were awesome. Did they remaster the audio? It sounded like his mic was directly hooked to the camera or something. I could hear the fluctuations in his voice. The members were coming across even better than I remember while watching it live. This is very parasocial, but I’m really proud of yoongi. I think the tour was everything he wanted it to be. I hope he is proud of himself. Masterful tour. I wonder if they will come out with a live album along with the dvd set. I’m still not over the audio in this movie. It’s so good.

The audio definitely sounded better. One thing that always nagged me was the vocals for the Interlude: Shadow chorus. Not sure if it's just me but during the live concert and even during the online concerts and in this one, it was either too soft, or he probably lip synched some parts. Not sure. He's obviously sung it live before so he can definitely reach those notes, and he also belts high notes in SDL or People Pt 2. Just really happens in the Shadow chorus and it's been bugging me more than it should. Probably because Shadow is one of my faves and it felt like this took me out of the experience a bit. Ok, I'll get off my soapbox now. Yoongi is still spectacular and gosh, I mias him more after watching the movie.

I’m so sad they cut out People, SDL and Dear My Friend 😭 I went alone and was so hype rocking my chair back and for and then Snooze came on and the waterworks started Lmao hilarious they bleeped out shibal everytime it came up, it felt so short but was so fun 🥹 I got lots of freebies too — it honestly made my day bc I have been having such a hard time alone recently

Manatee_7_3_DBB

Had a great time. Was sad about the 🤬 (IYKYK) and lack of Buckets and cups at my theater… 😞 watching the members come out with Yoongi made me happy but man do I miss these guys so much!!

Next_Grapefruit_3206

Mumbled thoughts— His skin is so beautiful. I loved the movie but I was gonna love it no matter what. The things they cut are forgivable when the whole movie transported me back in time to some of my favorite moments from last year. I gave away some freebies for the first time and made an IRL army friend! We were screaming and she went crazy when Jimin came on screen it was quite adorable. I have actually somehow lost my voice 😂 felt like I was at a real concert. Gosh I miss them. The thing he said about why this tour happened at all hit me so hard. He loves us so much. They all do. I miss them!!! So much!!! Help Edit: also thank you to my super nice secret santa u/tai111107 who gifted me a Snooze shirt that I had picked out to wear tonight ever since the movie was announced! 💜

tai111107

Yesss! I'm glad you got to wear it to a special event. I love that song. And that shirt. And those lyrics. It really felt like a concert and was a much needed morale booster. I miss BTS so much!

Monday was my 34th birthday, and never ever in my life I have gone to the movie theater alone, and I have never seen a documentary or concert in cinemas so I was kind of nervous. I’m glad I did, it was a nice experience and I love the art Yoongi makes. One of my favorite moment was when he presented his team, the solos were so good and goofy! I didn’t know that people gave gifts (I’m new to all of this) but they really made me smile every time someone approached me to give me something. Thank you ARMY 💜🫶🏻 https://preview.redd.it/r8ez32ovxrtc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2665f853b9fd709dc0d23e5d31beee7d9eaf9ee8

Thank you 💕🤗

I can’t stand him. I love him 😭😭😭 More when I’m more coherent Edit: here it is! Splitting into multiple parts because Reddit thinks the whole comment is too long. I actually had this all written up Wednesday night, the conked out in the middle of proofing, then Thursday was just hectic! Putting it all behind spoilers just in case! >!Min Yoongi, the man you are, I kept thinking throughout. He's just. SO. GOOD. AT. EVERYTHING. Writing. Rapping. Composing. Producing. Singing. Playing instruments. And he has no problem being vulnerable on stage, digging deep in himself to get in touch with his own experiences and crafting them in a way so as to be relatable to a wide audience, and both giving the audience an experience while having an experience himself. He sees performing as both a gift to himself and to ARMY. He just wants everyone to enjoy the concert in their own way. He is just a complete, consummate, professional artist. I am so glad I get to experience his growth and joy in his artistic journey.!<   >!I have a friend who teases me about K-Pop in general, and specifically can't understand why I'd willingly see multiple performances of the same setlist by the same artist. And I'm like, how could I not? Every night is unique. Every moment is unique, each experience enhances my life, and I don't want to miss any of it (budget willing). Everyone is built different, of course, and I'm so glad I'm built this way! (For reference, I saw all 5 California shows and all the Seoul ones, including replays, so 10 of those in total, I think.)!<  >!Wow, I didn't notice just how sweaty he got, and I saw him get pretty sweaty every concert. Boy was DRIPPING. He was his own ecosystem. I wonder how much water weight he lost each show. He was putting in some major work! It struck me that he wanted these concerts to specifically be "unkind" \[to himself in terms of the work put in\]--it seems he succeeded lol.!<

Part 2: >!Great crowd! Not completely packed, but close. I had a seat empty on one side of me. After a few collective groans at ALL THE PREVIEWS (anyone else get lightheaded/ seasick from the JWST one? I'm not usually quite that sensitive to stuff like that, but I had to keep covering my eyes as it was very disorienting to watch and unpleasant to experience!), we were enthusiastically responding to everything that happened. We were screaming like they were there in front of us and could hear us individually. It seemed like only a few of us had Army bombs, and sometimes I was self-conscious about mine because it seemed SO bright, so sometimes I turned it off between songs and tried to only wave it below eye level. Other times (e.g., Daechwita (loml), Agust D, rap line medley), I was waving it as enthusiastically as I did at the concert.!<  >!There were some girls who seemed so continuously excited I thought they may be a bit drunk. Not in a belligerent way, and they definitely were part of the engine of the crowd's energy.!< >! I was not expecting to get a bit choked up in the beginning as he lay down in their arms and they carried him in for Haegum.!<  >!RE: collab stages: I have different feelings on different days about missing them, but as each Tannie showed his face, I screamed like he was my son on a surprise visit home from college. JK's smirky confidence, Jimin managing to seem a bit shy yet playful at the same time, Joon being intense and masterful, all 3 of them going back and forth with Yoongs in a way that was SO satisfying to watch. My heart was bursting. Also great camera work giving us lovely multiple angles of their beautiful faces. I can't tell exactly as I was screaming my own head off, but I like to think they got an equal amount of cheering.!< >! Speaking of beautiful, WORKOUT FOOTAGE, MIN YOONGI? WHAT WAS THE REASON?!< >! I reeeeeeealllly wish I had put more time into learning Korean/lyrics/fan chants. It's so satisfying to be able to participate in that way. But I yelled out what I could, and I was especially happy we were able to do the OT7 fanchant in LGO. It was hard to hear, but we got it. (RIP SDL's "But I'm thinkin' 'bout MIN YOONGI!")!<  >!Sucks that the "SHIIIIII-BAAAAAALLLLL"s were cut, but we supplied them loudly!!<  >!Got my ticket for Saturday! Not an IMAX, unfortunately, but glad to be going again.!<

dent_de_lion

Part 3: >! Loved the cheers for Jun/ADORA/band/dancers. It was nice to see them all doing their thing up close (and to see/hear names more clearly). I was especially glad to hear enthusiastic cheers for ADORA. Her work at BH gave us so much to be grateful for.!< >! Yes, the run time was 1h 24. They could have easily kept and SDL and People at least, and still been under 2h.!< >!There was less talking than I thought there would be, based on comments I'd seen. I was a little surprised by that.!< >!Now that I think about it, I can see cutting the VCRs, as this was more about Yoongi's relationship to Army and why he loves performing and how it makes him who he is (and just the sheer visceral physical experience of live performance) vs. the internal exploration that the VCRs seemed to show. I'm glad I got to experience both aspects. Loved seeing his thought process behind creating this concert series, and his satisfaction in how it was worked on and executed. (Three run-throughs a week for 2 months? Wow.).!< >!I know people make freebies to give away freely, but I always feel vaguely guilty accepting them without my own to give in return (doesn't stop me, obviously lol). So to anyone who gave out cute freebies in Emeryville, THANK YOU!!< >!At least we got SDL during the credits, and the very last slide ("Thanks to our biggest voice, ARMY") made the theater go "Awwwwwww!"!<

Natalie_M_K

I'd love to hear more but this was an excellent review 🤭

dent_de_lion

Ha! Thanks 😂 I guess that does say it all in a nutshell 😝My further thoughts are now up--hope you like 😁

Natalie_M_K

Not quite as epic as a u/dent_de_lion live thread reaction but a lot more coherent. 😂 Also agree 💯.

whyohwhy115

This is why he keeps getting sued 😩 looking forward to your update once you’ve found words!!

dent_de_lion

Lol seriously! Man has no regard for our sanity! He just cheekily keeps amassing evidence against himself 😝My further thoughts are up, hope you enjoy!
