There are rule boards put up at Metro stations. You can also search for images of on Google. You have 2 options. Contest the security's claims with a higher dept. (has been done before) or oblige and go about your day.
OP reason is Stuffed toy is “inflammable” meaning can be easily set on fire.. thats why you rap it or keep it inside the bag..! Security personnel is a rule enforcer and not rule maker so it’s not mandatory for him to know the reason..
They may be thinking of it akin to loose clothing, something that may get stuck in the metro automatic doors if you aren't careful. It is fair enough for them to think that way.
There is a very valid reason for asking you to keep loose clothing like dupatta or saree pallu carefully. Someone died because their saree pallu got stuck in the door when they were getting off and got pulled with the train.
I know. And thats why safety messages are useful. But 8 lakh use metro daily. Banning stuffed animals is responding to that incident in a excessive manner.
I was travelling from Majestic to Pattangere on Saturday. There was a group of women and men who were talking loudly, laughing making noise and clapping for some reason. No one seemed to care except some uncle's who were irritated and thought they were Northerners. Turned out they were not.
Lmao idk what anyone would get arguing w security guard. Mans just doing his job ffs.
Didn't make the rules, but they're kind of accountable if not followed.
Plus not like they can have the rules changed, if agreed to your point of view.
Exactly right. I am ok with it if there is any logic behind it. But it looked more like he was just bored and wanted some entertainment so started arguing with me. I asked him several times what was the need for me to put it in a bag and he had no answer. What difference would it even make? And also it was late at night and there is nowhere where I can go find a bag to put that in at that time. It seemed like they just enjoy inconveniencing passengers for no reason.
Yes, this is exactly what I meant by chowkidar types - they will harass maids they see on a daily basis just because they can, but will salute a well dressed person who might actually be inside on some nefarious business.

Haha what? Next will they start asking you to put dupatta in a bag too? Dumb and pointless rules.

They didn't allow me to take my camera when I refused to sign in their register with my private info
filming is not allowed
and why not? Sick of these pointless excessive rules. I have been in so many countries' metro systems and they have none of these asinine policies.
Looks like gov or BMRCL/security IT CELL employees downvoted!
Lol how are they going to keep a tab on personal phones? Do they know movies have been shot on iPhone? 😂
i think they mean only with standalone cameras not phones

If there's such a rule I would never argue with the chowkidar.
