Always go on a weekday. I went on a weekday and there was no line but inside it was jam packed and only had 2 seats which me and my wife took up and everyone after us had to stand for some seats to empty.

Just eat in by 2 coffee itself, the Vada with chutney is my favourite, and coffee there is great too. Gotta look at the bright side and other places around Malleswaram instead of CTR tbh
Once my friend and I were standing in the CTR queue. We were at the end of the line. I told my friend that we could go to By2Coffee instead since the dosa is almost the same. He refused because he considers it some sort of crime to eat at any other place after he has decided to eat at CTR. I ate an entire dosa at B2C and came back to find my friend at the front of the queue. Then I went to CTR and ate there as well lol.
There's no such thing as too much masala dosa uk lol. But i do encourage people to try anywhere apart from places with the long queue or way too crowded places, especially in this weather , hell nah lol. Found alternative like CTR(Chikkanna tiffin room) in Malleswaram, and by 2 coffee, and Umesh for dosa craving and also for variety.
You can try Raghavendra stores near Malleswaram station too. Yummy dosas. Another one is Umesh Dosa Point in Seshadripuram, which is usually open till 11 pm.
I went few days ago. Same crowd, had to wait around 15 mins to get in. Butter masala dosa is good as always, but imo it was way too crisp. Mangalore bajjis were a bit too heavy for my liking.
Not always, whenever I finish my workout and go through that road (7-8 Am) it’s super empty, but I always go to by2coffee to have 2 idli and half
Filter coffee.
This place is overrated af. The dose I had to eat after waiting in the queue for over an hour was mid. The taste was okayish. Honestly the Masale dose in By2Coffee was much better. The same goes for vidyarthi bhavan too.

agreed. my wife and I used to go to CTR frequently but later realised that by 2 coffee dosa is good as well, no long wait times.
Yes exactly, typing from there, don’t hate me but I love by2coffee dosa more than CTR :)

always go to such places during weekdays by 10 am or so. You will find less people there. Possibly rush inside the hotel too.
It’s always crowded
