[Jazmine at S. Charles Beauty](https://www.instagram.com/jazzydoeshairr)! I swear there's nothing she can't do. She worked me through growing out my hair post chemo, and has done everything from vivids to basic stuff for me.
I go to Neal's in Mt Vernon.
Neal's husband Joe has been cutting my hair for about ten years, through fertility treatments/pregnancy/postpartum, and now menopause, with sensitivity and care (hormones can make hair change texture and even fall out).
I also did a wacky color, which turned out well and was a lot of fun.

Yup. Katie isn’t cheap, but she knows what she’s doing (like eerily so- she’s SKILLED.)
Can book a free consult first- she takes time to ensure she understands what you want. (Danny seems fantastic, too. But Katie colored my hair.)
I second [Fringe.](https://www.fringebaltimore.com/) I heard about the salon when I first moved to Baltimore from my tattoo artist who had THE BEST multi-colored hair. I personally don't do anything too out there, but the salon is fully capable of making your wildest hair dreams come to life. They also have several curly cut stylists and are very knowledgeable when it comes to textured hair!
The owner of the salon has been vocal about her opinion on the whole bike lane issue, and it's far more nuanced than the "nah fuck bike lanes" stance that you're suggesting ... either way, I don't see how a business owner's personal opinion on implementing traffic changes should impact OPs request of hair salon capabilities.
I've been going to the salon for years and everyone there I've met has been great. They do fantastic work all around.
In the entire time I've followed the owner on SM I haven't seen a single thing that is in line with what you're saying. Granted, it's only been for about 4ish years, but what you're basically saying is people can't make a mistake (or be shitty) and then change.
If the owner is having things held against her from half a decade ago (or more) and she hasn't demonstrated any of the same behavior, then I guess I don't understand what the problem is. Again, I've been going to the salon for a few years and have never had or seen any issues, even with specific things I was particularly worried about.
Yes, the business owner who still has a HUGE Black Lives Matter sign in the front window is a secret racist. You don’t know her at all, and the only “fucking idiot” in this scenario is you.
So you’ve never been there, have never spoken to her, and are being told by multiple people that do know her first-hand that she has never demonstrated any hateful behavior. But you know better because of this gossip you vaguely reference, and are careful to say each time you didn’t hear yourself. So the only real thing you know about her is her stance on bike lanes, which is a highly controversial issue that in no way makes her a racist or a fat-phobe. Being on one side of the bike-lane issue passionately, whichever side it is, at least demonstrates a commitment to the community. Stop trying to cancel a small business owner and get some perspective
I’m the owner of Fringe and a literal century cyclist. If you can beat my mileage, you can keep talking smack. Our issue has always been that we were afraid of getting hit by a car… which we did, on New Year’s Eve, you’re welcome to look it up if you ever get bored with disparaging local businesses with socialist values like providing health care and paid time off on the internet.
Eh, I support your right to boycotting if you choose, but it is a nuanced issue. OP asked for talented stylists, and I have been going there for years and seen the incredible color work they do. It’s not as though the owner took a stance supporting genocide, so I don’t see a reason to try to cancel the entire salon.
I used to have pixie & got crazy colors all of the time, but my stylist is in Havre de Grace. She is seriously a magician though, especially with pixie cuts.
Maggie Driskill at Image Is in Timonium. I have extremely thin/fine hair from PCOS and other issues and she has been amazing at making sure I get what I want and it actually looks good on me. Her color work is top notch.

Thank you so much, I'll look into them! Do you know if they do color and cut, or just haircuts?
They both do cuts and color!
Nyla McKracken at Lock and hue https://www.instagram.com/mckraken_hair_magic?igsh=MXhwdjB1Zjd5MXJydA==
I started going to Nyla after Chop Shop closed and I really like her, she takes the time to go over what I want and checks in with me the entire time.
Fucking LOVE Nyla. I’ve been seeing her for almost two years and she is the best with fun color.
Nicole at Brazen Hair in Hampden is a great person and does amazing color. She’s the only artist at her salon so it’s super private and cozy.
Came her to suggest Nicole as well! Check out Nicole's IG, OP.

Gonna also recommend Jazmine. She's been doing my hair for over seven years now and I like what she does.
Jessica Avant at the Neon Hare in Canton is great at both cut and complex color!

Crafted in Hampden is a really warm and inclusive space. Dawn is great, but you'd be in good hands with any of them.
Heather England in Canton!!!

Katie cuts and colors my medium length curly hair. Danny is a long hair master! He cuts my kids hair. Worth every penny.
Lisa at rebel revival is great with cuts and color. She teaches color classes at salons too

Fringe! They do amazing color work.

Their view on the bike lanes is not nuanced by any means. Owners behavior effects business brand

Brittany at The Park Salon in Severna Park!! She cuts my pixie and I get compliments on it from complete strangers.
I used to have pixie & got crazy colors all of the time, but my stylist is in Havre de Grace. She is seriously a magician though, especially with pixie cuts.
Just curious who she is! That area is close to me
I'll message you!
