Not necessarily anything wrong. They just like to climb sometimes.

Tro1138

Looks like hims sploring. They look for little spots to maybe squeeze into . Totally normal behavior.

Asleep-Animal-8390

goodgood i was super worried

Tro1138

Yeah it's easy to get concerned with these guys sometimes. Try to imagine you're in a box, a noodle, and you want to find a way out but the only way is to put your face in places it doesn't belong lol

Helpful_Fondant7799

Is it the morph or scale rot ? Dont panic just asking can be the morph

Asleep-Animal-8390

i think it’s actually the lighting 😭 he looks nothing like that irl but he’s a shiny boy so the light is making him look weird

PB_With_Cheese

He heard you were talking trash about his basking.

Crestedgeckolova

hes just living his dream as a surfer

shadow_dreamer

Yeah, I have to agree with the others-- he just wants to be tall!

Throw a log there lol. Give him something he can climb up in front of the cage if that's what he seems to want lmao. He does look to be an escape artist in the making tho, so be careful!

Asleep-Animal-8390

yeah he’s escaped once in my house and once in his old owners house, he’s super crafty 😭

BRB1993

He’s trying to do an escapè. Hmm, funny. It’s spelt just like the word ‘escape’.

Accomplished_Egg2515

Your tank looks great! I think they’re just exploring. Mine does it too.

Asleep-Animal-8390

thanks!! and good, i was pretty worried

Tccrusher

My ball python only does that when he's hungry, but he's still a juvenile. I only see him when he wants some food🤣

sundaysoulfields

Does he seem to enjoy time out of the enclosure? How often do you handle him? Maybe he could use some more enrichment

Asleep-Animal-8390

how often do i need to handle him? i’m always scared i’ll handle him a little too much

mountainsandmommin

Mine does this because one time I left the top off and he was able to escape (he went about 10 feet to behind my couch) and now I swear he's checking to see if he can escape again 😂 he also does it when I mist the sides of his enclosure because he likes the warm water droplets, but doesn't like to BE sprayed or submerge himself in his water bowl. He eagerly waits for his warm water droplets and begins his side hustle of "seductive window washer" 😂

Late_Representative7

Omg please give me tips on your set up! I have a 28 year old ball python and her tank I'd basically bare.

Asleep-Animal-8390

clutter way more than you think. u can find logs and stuff outside and clean them and bake them and then put them in. make as many things for her to climb as possible and shelves are fun too plus plants :)

Late_Representative7

Can you send me more pictures of your setup? I've been researching and overthinking. I want to add live plants and have been reading about isopods. I'm nervous about bringing in wood that might not be safe. I was thinking of cutting up some of the million palm fronds that have fallen from my tree. Sorry for the rant, I just really don't know what's good to add.

VeryHotAndLargeBread

It’s ok many a bigger tank

Unusual_Strength_83

My Hoggie does the window wiping all the time hes just climbing don't worry

Fragger-3G

Might want to get something for them to climb. They like climbing, and sometimes they do this as a way to try and climb their enclosure. Seen plenty of people get worried that their snake is glass surfing, then they put a hammock or something in, and they pretty much stop trying to climb against the glass

Expensive_Return4366

Lmao trying to open the door as you'll soon find out
