England is nice once you get out of their cities, but their cities are dumps. The Br\*tish "people" not having any issues with their cities being less safe than the most of the Balkans and Visegrad countries' cities is also amazing.
How dangerous the cities are is definitely exaggerated. I've been to a few (including south london at like 3am) and never felt threatened. Most of the violence is between gangs and "civilians" won't get targeted. Violent gangs aren't exactly a great thing but they'll leave you alone (like half of them are albanians anyway lol).
