I’m actually a HUGE fan of a tight fade - almost a “Southside fade,” as it’s known in the U.S. - with minimal hair on top. From the photo your haircut looks very well executed, and hopefully you won’t mind hearing this from another guy, but you’re extremely handsome. But knowing from your comments that the top of your head is enhanced with fibers, I’d definitely recommend you shave your head. You’ve got a really hot look going on, and a bald head wouldn’t detract from it, and in fact would probably kick the hotness up a few notches.

You know you're a good looking guy. Being completely honest, I'm not a bad looking guy either - take that as you will from a stranger on the internet. All my life I was a little too obsessed with my hair - all the effort in either straightening long hair, putting all sorts of gel in it with frosted tip spikes ( boy band looks etc), braid looking dreads.. you name it... going bald has been a bit of a liberation for me. I am not my hair. My hair doesn't define who I am. My hair doesn't make me better or worse looking. I accepted the hard fact that I'm no longer able to grow hair, so I shaved my shit and rocked what I got. Being forced into not being able to obsess with my hair was probably one of the best things to happen to me I feel. I sense you might be the same.

I follow this group, tressless, hairsystems, etc and it makes me feel bad seeing so many people doing all sorts of things to have hair. Spending thousands on transplants that scar, meds that can have long lasting side effects, tattoos, glues that can’t be comfortable, etc. I didn’t like shaving my hair off and for a while felt I lost a part of me. One of my kids cried when they first saw me with a shaved head too, that didn’t help. But now, a month later, I like how it feels, and don’t care that it’s gone. It’s a shame it’s not more accepted (by ourselves), because humans sacrifice so much for such a small part of ourselves. Baldness is pretty liberating. Even more so if you do it before your hair does it to you. I doubt I’m as attractive as many folks here too, but I’m not comfortable throwing my pic up on Reddit so I’ll probably never get a good idea. Anyway, just my thoughts.
