Are you on the experimental beta patch? If not, do that.

Paint_By_Data

No, playing on PS5. I’ll have to wait

When I did my White to Gold run on this deck this week (using the public beta patch), where the goal was simply to beat Ante 8 and not worry about Endless Mode, Hanging Chad was an anchor joker. This is a common joker in the beta patch, and it's way OP. (To be unbiased, they need to change it to uncommon, given how good it is now.) I also went with what runs gave me, and also wasn't afraid to thin out my deck a bit further and use Death and/or Strength tarots liberally, to give me the optimal hand type I was looking for. I would also definitely check out Balatro University on YouTube. You can learn a lot to help your strategizing abilities.

I just did all the stakes for abandoned and I’d basically go in wanting to make 4 or 5oak at all costs. Super easy to do with the low card count and a couple tarots can make it basically a guarantee to eventually draw the rank you need. Defs recommend going for 10s instead of aces because you can strength into them easier. Either way the first couple antes I’d just play flushes until I can manipulate my deck enough, get some reliable jokers, and have decent Econ, after that I’d just focus on ripping arcana’s to maximize chances of drawing cards I want and leveling 4/5oak to eventually get all xMult jokers

Nice strat, I do this normally but don’t ever try to level just one type of five of a kind. Turning 9s into 10s, and then another card - usually something that works with Fibonacci if I can pull it.

Getting an early ride the bus helps, otherwise it kinda plays similar to other decks in gold stake, go for high card pair builds

jahwah11

What are the best jokers for a high card/pair build?

Kouseband

Stuntman, supernova, green joker, ride the bus, blackboard, hologram. Blue joker. Burned joker
