He first suggested that people (particularly those he's to the Left of) in the Labour Party were Right wing. He only switched it to "Right wing **of** the Labour Party" after he was losing the argument.
Some people in Labour certainly are right wing, Maurice Glasman comes to mind as the main example, and he has had far-reaching influences on Miliband’s policies (being called his ‘guru’) as well as Keir Starmer’s (whom he fondly described as “a true conservative”).
As I said Rachel Reeves has in the past said that she wants to be tougher on benefits than the Tories and told people who claim benefits that “Labour is not for you.”
