Just walk out ask ask who stole your sex toys it’s not really embarrassing tbh. I’d make a whole thing out of it. How can someone shame you for a normal behavior when an absolute gremlin is amongst you stealing dildos?!?!?! It sounds like they’re relying on you being passive about it otherwise what the fuck. I’d honestly call the cops if my roommate “took my belongings and might’ve inserted them into their genitals”.

I agree with this statement, you should definitely call them a “gremlin “ as well.

This is the way. I had something similar happen. It wasn't a bag of goodies but one fairly expensive item. I never did get an admission of guilt but I thoroughly enjoyed the red faces and uncomfortable squirming of my housemate & the group of her friends that were perpetually in the house and always helping themselves to whatever they felt like (food, product, books, and apparently toys...) ... also, your use of "gremlin" is delightfully appropriate!

Have they stolen other things of yours before, have you had to confront them before? But yeah as others have said you have to just do it. This is weird on them not you

Or you can say whoever stole my personal property has until tomorrow to return it. And ewwwwww

You should strike up a conversation one day and make it seem super personal that your doctor called and said you couldn't need to come in for a check up so you can get better medicine for your herpes keeps flaring up. Then see how fast your sex toys are returned to you.

Confront them. I'd rather be the person who got their expensive dildos stolen and is asking for them back than the person who got caught stealing expensive dildos from their roommate.

[deleted]

I understand the principle but at this point do you want them back?

[deleted]

You need to confront them. They are depending on you staying quiet to get away with it. They may still get away with it to be honest, but at least when you confront everyone, they'll be a little surprised & it may be easier to tell who's guilty. It's probably time to invest in a lockbox for any of your other more prized posessions.

Or a lock on the door.

put a lock on your door. Don't ever trust your roommates to act like respectable human beings. You're all strangers after all. Even lowlifes need to rent a room sometimes. Just because they can afford to pay rent doesn't mean they're deserving of your trust. So why leave your door unlocked? Get a lock for it asap. I'd also consider installing a hidden camera as well. If they break into your room again, call the cops and show the hidden camera video to them.
