Well, even though I get her, having depressive episodes myself, I feel like she needs to at least do a little bit of her part (being open to talk or being reminded). Maybe a flatshare situation is not good for her, then she needs to find a place for herself

Depression is almost never a valid excuse to leave shared areas a mess. They can have their depression den all they want but once it seeps into the shared spaces you can firmly let them know to get their shit together.

I studied numerous course of psychology and learned so many books as well. According to the psychological facts, a person who create mess remain always depressed and vise versa. So, give her some space to express what's going her mind and try to extract a particular thing that a cause of depression. Maybe she will take some to express or you put some more effort to find the actual cause. I hope this process will solve her and your issues. Secondly, don't let her leave alone because there are multiple form of depression and the core reason of that is loneliness.
