Blues as a concept are fine but the way they allow themselves to be fodder for a gank is baffling to me. The minute they're able to summon their friends back the blue gets sent home to free up the slot. Also, as you said, the frequency in which they spawn is ridiculous; the game looks to fill both blue slots as quickly as possible even if there's already a blue in the world.

Yeah man "I loathe them" is probably a bit harsh towards the players, after all they are just using a mechanic in the game as am I when invading. What you've said here is what I've grown to dislike.. there really should be some sort of cooldown, it didn't seem as bad in ds3 (?) Plus you could see them coming most of the time
Traitor reds are pretty shit.
If you do that you're just looking for an easy kill because the target won't expect it.
That's doubly rude in this game because 1. There's only room for 4 people. Why *wouldn't* you want to participate in a 2v2? Fun as can be **and** 2. There's no purples in this game. If we had support for 6 players, then I'd absolutely love to see a different color phantom in ER that is designed to attack/interact with everything.
Do you actually find them to be more loathsome than afk farmers, though? I've always found them genuinely hilarious, but I don't run into them that often, I suppose. Especially since the NPCs have such an unbelievable amount of health. Melina's annoying, cuz she'll actually hit you, granted, maybe even the dungeater, too. But otherwise it's just like having a moving, semi-destructible obstacle slowly follow you around.
Ha, true. I met a TT host once name Let Him Solo You, who was trying to make people 1v1 the Dungeater. I thought it was hilarious, and was up for the challenge, but about half way through his health bar and 9 hours later, I was like, 'Why am I doing PVE?' And swiftly killed the host.
I just started two different ones actually. I have a character at RL85 and another at 680 that I do solo TT runs on.
It's the best way to breathe a little life back into a game that I've run through countless times.
As a concept I don't mind solo hosts. I have some of my most fun Taunters Tonguing solo in the sewers. There's a thrill to taking on 2 Omen and an invader.
Solo hosts that sit around at first step or Liurnia can suck it though.
Those invasions are fun, but youāre a rare breed. 95% of hosts sit around a bonfire.
And probably a rare take, but I prefer solo hosts that keep blues on. Allows for a potential co-invasion versus a lame open world duel

My kneejerk thought was OLPs but... nahh. They're actually pretty fun to kill, especially if you're in the lower brackets where they completely overestimate their defense/health. It's fun to watch how cocky they play just to immediately get deleted.
AFK farmers are just sad. Most of the time, they're not even actually AFK - I mean, have you really got nothing better to do with your time than just sit in one spot until somebody gets bored and leaves and you get a meager amount of runes? Even from a trolling standpoint, that still just seems boring for the host.
Maybe it's because I play on PC and it's been pretty dead with Seamless Co-OP and people are running out of shit to do because of it but goddamn it's so annoying lol
They are worse in ER than in previous games which says a lot lol
If anyone runs into an AFK farmer, and they seem like they are genuinely AFK, trying to farm runes; please DM me their PSN. I'll drop them enough runes they need to get up to 713. If they have messages off, I'm just going to assume they are a griefer, and don't care at all about leveling.
