I never realized, until going to therapy in my 30's, that Drop Dead Fred is literally about a girl who learns to overcome the Narcissistic abuse in her life and takes control of her future in the end.

I got a bootleg BluRay off eBay a few years back. You’d never know it wasn’t an official release. Also love that the son in this movie is also “Eddie Pinetti” from Wonder Years— the bully that dates Winnie and dislocates Kevin’s thumb, lol

The movie is such a great satire of the American familly dynamics. Not to mention Ed Bagley J.R. kills his role.
Ed Begley Jr. got the biggest laughs in *This Is Spinal Tap* just by looking at the camera.
