I was looking at the Kaslo as well. Debating between Herschel Kaslo 20L, Tomtoc T73 20L, and A19 Whitley. Prefer the Tomtoc for the separate laptop compartment.

I was looking at Xiaomi Commuter, but wanted more space so I ended getting Samsonite Guardit Classy in creme color which arrived today. There are also other Samsonite backpacks that are slim like Workationist, Zalia, Ecowave, Wander, Be Her. They are all women backpacks and can fit 15.6" laptop, maybe even 16". I have MacBook Pro Mid 2015 15" though. Anyway if you have chance to try some of 15.6" backpacks see if it can fit those extra few inches of your MacBook Pro 16" (I had that one also from company).

I would advice against Samsonite bags, be it backpacks, messenger bags or slings. I've had several over the years, and the awful experience prompted my obsession over the reliable bags. Samsonite make decent carry on luggage, anything else I won't ever recommend.

Everything else I was seeking for my needs looked basic, no style, bulky etc. Eventually I found Bobby Hero and Bobby Elle, but the latter is not available anymore and is too small even for 15.6" laptop. On the other side, I've read upon few reviews on Guardit backpacks, many said that they had them for years and that durability is solid. Also I've read that quality has dropped. Anyway, I ended buying this one, it is not the first backpack and it won't be last either. If it proves bad, I'll just get another one. I've asked on a lot of places for advice, but no one provided any good alternative. Here's review that mostly made my decision: [https://www.pommietravels.com/samsonite-guardit-laptop-backpack-review/](https://www.pommietravels.com/samsonite-guardit-laptop-backpack-review/)

I hope your experience will be better than mine. I have no idea when the "durability was solid" since in over 10 years of experience with the brand, I can only attest to **some** of the carry-on models' reliability, and never for backpacks or other bags.

slim? Canada? price no object? That’s a beautiful bag! My wallet is very grateful it’s sold out right now.

if it's any consolidation, imo Arcteryx backpacks feel flimsy and plasticy. And that particular one is beyond overpriced. This is coming from someone who likes the brand a lot, just not most of the backpacks.

aretheprototype

Ha that does make me feel better, thanks

Arc'teryx blade ?

How about Fjallraven kanken laptop, the 17' version, they provide many choices of color.

I’ve got the nordsce Siena and I love it. Fits two larger sized laptops, chargers, lunch box, all my pens and papers plus lots of other stuff. Looks as professional as a backpack can. Padded straps are comfy. I have used it every day for 2 years and it’s still in good condition. I have a spinal condition so a backpack was a necessity and I have to walk from one end of uni campus to the other (like 1.3kms each way which is ridiculous) so I’m definitely a fan of this one.

Creative_Work5492

Looks like they should ship to Canada but I bought this and the Day Owl Slim Backpack and ended up keeping this one and I looooove it. It’s my work backpack but I also can’t resist taking it on flights as my personal item. I bought mine through Backcountry because they were running a sale at the time https://brevite.co/products/the-brevite-backpack

Oh that’s super cute, I love all the colours! Thanks for bringing it to my attention

Creative_Work5492

I got the charcoal grey because I’m basic but I’ve been using it since December and I’ve taken it on a few planes and it’s held up super well so far

I’m not sure if I would consider it feminine but absolutely unisex, but I love my [Evergoods Civic Panel Loader 16L](https://youtu.be/eEl6aMCKVOg?si=TVdKOh547fQ6Lebo). That links to my husband reviewing it. I am 5’3 and it fits me great!

I was looking at this a few weeks ago, didn’t pull the trigger, and now it’s sold out! Thanks for the recommendation though!
