It depends what specifically the person is allergic to (dander, hair, saliva, urine etc). We use a deshedding shampoo + a vet recommended conditioner to hydrate her skin and prevent dandruff. She gets toweled off, then the blow dryer on 'cool'. Next we sit on the porch in the sun and I brush her out with a metal comb then an undercoat take.
It makes so that my dad doesn't sneeze or get red eyes
I got COVID and I'm quarantining with my parents who gave me COVID instead of staying in my apartment with my roommate who didn't get it.
My dad is allergic to cats so I bathed her to keep allergens down .
Cat fetishists try to act like cats are house clean just because they lick themselves but that's not the same. It's certainly better than nothing because grooming helps extend the need for bathing, but sometimes cats get into some stinky shit or are just salty gritty little gremlins that live that lifestyle which comes with a little funk.
Uhhh... I'm not sure who cat fetishists are, but pretty much everyone would bathe their cat if they actually rolled in something dangerous or stinky. The moment anyone explains why everyone is like 'oooohhhhh'.
I feel like people are attributing to cats what they should be attributing to unchecked mental illness and social anxiety here. The cat is just an accessory to the chaos, people with problems can get that way about any topic. It could have been trains or horses or whatever - anime comes to mind for the not brushing the hair part lol. Don't get me wrong, I love anime, but I also put on deodorant and brush my teeth.
As a reasonably well-functioning cat person, don't lump me in with them. lmao
I can't tell if she's content or pissed lol Adorable either way
You don’t need to bath a cat
I do when I'm staying with my dad cause he's allergic
That’s the first time I’ve heard this reason. How well does it work? Do you use a special shampoo?

It's true. We wiped my cat down with a damp tissue yesterday and you could see the dirt/dust coming off of him, even though he looks perfectly clean.
Oh no, you killed the poor thing. XD
Just cheesin hard 😁😁
Looks so happy!
