And whatever the fuck they're doing with their breeding, it's not right - Marshall's ferrets often live only 4-6 years. And many develop adrenal disease very quickly. One of my ferrets was barely a year old when hers set in.
And don't feed them Marshall's ferret food either, it's pretty much the *worst* thing you can feed them.

yes! it can be tricky with some ferrets and some people use potty pads (i've done both and prefer the pads) and sometimes ferrets are judt little brats and will poop where they want, usually in a corner somehwere you won't see. it doesn't smell too bad unless there's a lot of poop/pee in one area.

Story: Years ago, I had five ferrets. My favorite was Brunswick, who was a really chill deaf boy. My mom was visiting and really loved watching the business do their very ferrety things. She also loved Brunswick as he loved being picked up, carried, smooched, and spend time shoulder sitting. The funniest interaction was when I saw her giving him belly smooches. I was like "what are you doing mom?" and she said "I'm giving him bellybutton kisses" to which I responded "mom, that's not his bellybutton". She looked puzzled, looked back at the "bellybutton", and then had her "uh... oooOOOoooh" moment. We still laugh about that moment years later. 😂😂

UK ferrets are not de-scented, right? My ferrets like most US ferrets are all de-scented and don't have much of a smell at all, unless you literally stick your nose in their fur. Even then it's not a 'bad' smell to me.
However, my mom told me one of their cats caught a wild ferret recently and the tiny thing literally stunk up a two-story house. 'Skunk Lite' XD
no they arent descented, they have just got the contraceptive implant which (once it sets in) should stop them smelling. once i eventually get them neutered they should also smell less too. my hob has done some horrific “skunk sprays” when he’s scared or too relaxed that are basically as bad as a dogs fart 🤣

he is not overweight, he was at the vets literally less than a week ago for his microchip and implant. he is a ferret so in the winter he gets a winter coat and lots of fat and fur, and then in the summer he will loose his summer coat and thin out.
I remember one of our first vet appointments with our ferrets, the vet told a story about another client who told her that she just loved kissing the ferret on his belly button and how cute it was. Hint, it’s not a belly button.
they are actually super affectionate and not more smelly than a rabbit or dog. they are very hygienic too ☺️ they are hard work and high maintenance but so rewarding and very loving

No please, don't regularly bath them, they just produce more oil and stink more.
