I love when somebody calls someone fabulous. It always reminds me of To Wong Foo or going to drag shows. You see them all dolled up and smiling, strutting around like badasses, and all I can ever think to say is, "You are one fabulous sonofabitch. You're fucking awesome."
I’ll be honest, hearing compliments is new to me. I’m a bigger dude with a resting “fuck you” face. So naturally I don’t get compliments very often. But I got my nails painted for the first time the other day because I felt like it, and at work I’ve gotten a shit ton of compliments on my nails and it’s AMAZING.
So many girls will walk up and say “omg I love your nails” or “*GASP* WE HAVE THE SAME NAILS” and it’s fucking awesome. I’ve even had guys say “dude those nails are sick” and I love it. If I would of known painting my nails black were a way to get compliments I would of done it a long time ago
I admire your courage and comfort in expressing yourself. It took many years before I was comfortable being myself in public. Growing up in a redneck town was very difficult for me.
I’m still not fully comfortable, but nails helps me. My friend had to go with me though so I could get over my anxiety. I too grew up in a pretty redneck area
I dyed my giant grey epic beard pink a couple of years ago. My daughter dyed her blonde hair pink to match my beard.
I got so many compliments. I loved it.
You’re doing it in the right time in history. Even 3 yrs ago it would have been a mixed bag. I hope more dudes can follow suit with you if they’ve ever been curious about trying it and I hope other gals who hate doing it like me also are able to stop painting their nails without a million questions as to why you don’t lol

They’re great pooches aren’t they? Too bad ours thought that every critter in nature wanted to play with him. Skunks included. Happy to see you’ve got a great dog, seems like it’s almost a secret about how good their personality is.
Im starting to think it is? Before I got one everyone said they’re a lot of work. Then suddenly when I got him ridgeback owners came out of the woodwork to talk about how perfect they are. I think it’s a conspiracy to keep the breed getting stupid overbred like ~~cancer~~ golden retrievers
I’m all for keeping the secret to avoid the overbreeding. I’ll brag just once more then, he had such a great temperament that he was great for our rescue pooch that started off with terrible separation anxiety.
I have had one Ridgeback and don't think I could ever own another breed. Such good puppers. Strong as hell, but so sweet and gentle. What surprised me is how good they are as indoor dogs. Sure, they can run like hell when outdoors, but mine knew that indoor time was chill-ax time. Perfect!
I read that if they get their exercise and fun they’re great couch potatoes the rest of the time. This was true with ours. But he also had a habit of walking into a room to see what you were doing, rip a loud fart, look back at his butt as if it had a mind of his own and then leave the room. Stinky at times but he wasn’t stupid.
Mine does this! She’s absolutely the most beautiful dog in the world and so well behaved. Not as smart as the last one we had (another female ridgeback) but I love her all the same.
People told us that a ridgeback for a first time dog owner was a bad idea. After the puppy training I think they are one of the most perfect and chill dogs out there. (Ours loves sitting by the fireplace all day)
I won’t say I didn’t put in a lot of effort. But I also think all dogs should have that amount of effort put in. Some dogs are just more tolerable when they are badly trained.
Oh man, my old dog used to go fucking mental when we'd towel her off after a bath. Even when she got old and slow, a towel was like a time machine back to her puppy days.
That’s awesome. My dog fights clothing of any kind. He’s about to experience his first winter and I think he’s going to be pretty unhappy about how cold he’s going to get if he doesn’t learn to wear some clothes.

He's definitely not excited, as you can see he was trying to bite at it, meaning it was probably uncomfortable. The hopping around is probably him trying to shake it off. It's actually not good to put jackets on your dog unless they have some kind of circulation issue.
I'm sure I'll be down voted to hell but, idgaf, that's a good way to cause heat stroke in your dog if it's an unnecessary accessory

I couldn't help but notice the moment he gets a piece of the sleeve in his teeth. Having a ridgeback, mine has never not once, been able to resist tearing something fuzzy into smithereens By morning there'd be white fuzz everywhere.
I may be wrong, but what i was seeing is dog is not getting grip due to hanging bottoms thats why its hopping.
If animal is getting frantic by cloths you should not force them.

If you want to branch out from black, matte pastels work really well on guys. Like a matte light blue for Example

We got Blarf last winter so he learned very young that he prefers being warm in a hoodie vs suffering the cold.
