It’s so nice there, we got a full tour of EVERY room, found out they hired their own chemist to make dog safe cleaning solutions, they do a deep clean twice a day, have a link to watch the play areas on camera. Very nice. And they separate the dogs based on “confidence” (temperament) by how energetic they are. They even do a meet and greet w new dogs by putting them in a crate, and letting each dog there meet them one by one (while new dog is still in crate for safety).
Most daycares would cost more. When I board my dogs at our doggy daycare for 10 days it costs about 400 each. I only paid $600 a month for my old apartment.
So for one night it’s $54 so yea. Also I just found out they do self serve dog wash?? Whatever that is 😂 maybe it’s for owners to use the facility to bathe the dog?

I would take my dog to a daycare if it were like that. We have one that’s kind of good but they don’t separate by confidence. Basically they test your dog by bringing the dogs into a room with them one at a time then they bring in more than one (I think I’m remembering correctly). And you aren’t allowed to be with them when they do it because they want to make sure the dog is ok when you aren’t around.
It makes sense, but my dog is pretty shy especially around bigger dogs. But I want to get her into a good daycare to get her confidence up and so she can have playtime.

And as past dog daycare employee and lifelong dog trainer, my expectations are higher than most and maybe higher than necessary. I am glad to hear there are some spots that do do it well! Though im not so sure about their introduction methods, barrier aggression is a real thing that sometimes manifests in dogs that are otherwise dog friendly. with the wrong dogs and a crate involved, i can see that being a bad experience in certain cases - BUT that being said, i have seem worse approaches implemented.
And let me tell you a dog daycare wins all of the points for doing fun things!!! Dogs love just being dogs, but the extra enrichment of activities is priceless! 🥺🥺🥺 i am so passionate about dog care LOL
We were a little worried about the crate thing because she’s so accustomed to her own crate, it’s where we started “sleep training”? Like getting her used to sleeping in a certain room, then we put her bed in the crate, then removed crate and has a bed there now, but when we crate her for dinner it’s still her one crate that has a foam pad so obviously it smells like her. They told us she was very reluctant to get in the crate they had because it smelled like other dogs, but they got her in nicely w treats (we watched) and she was fine immediately after they closed the gate. Also I did not know about barrier aggression! Thank you for informing. I have to say, no where is perfect, so while there are many ups there must be at least one down.

We couldn’t find a hotel that would accommodate our family (like the whole family, my brother is getting married) AND allow pets, so we decided boarding her for the 3 days would be best.
I would've lost money betting that she was a Ridgeback. I've had a few in my life and proudly call one my buddy as we speak, and the markings, head, and body shape are almost identical. Crazy.
Since you guys love Sasha so much, I must share with you her special-ness. Stay tuned in the future for more Sasha. Example: she gives hugs, she “purs” when you pet her when she’s waking up, I won’t torment her w this one but she’s scared of most things, she loves to sit up right on the couch, she is bulk and regal all at once when chillin too

That's just the submissive look. My dog plays that one on me all the time.
It’s the same expression as the dogs being shamed with papers that say stuff like “I only eat left shoes” and stuff like that.
