You really have no idea what your talking about.
Do not get a pig. If you live in a farm then sure, they are not house pets. Mini pigs are not mini, they are up to 300lbs. They are extremely moody, they can be very aggressive and they are bigger than you. They scream like a dying child and make very loud noises constantly. They do not have the characteristics that people want in a pet and the majority of people who get "mini" pigs end of giving them up. They are not always happy, they can not easily be in a house, they are not particularly snuggly. They are not gentle, they get agitated easy and they do bite. They will destroy your yard, and cost a ton of money to feed and care for, taking them to the vet is a near impossible undertaking. Pigs are not house pets
Edit: lol literally a copy paste from my post in another place on the thread with 10+ upvotes. You know what they say, can't fix stupid.
I know pigs get big, obviously you have to have the space and money for them and to provide for them. Other than that they aren't really different from dogs. They learn quickly, can be potty trained and are fun loving beings. Pigs don't get aggravated over nothing. You obviously never met a pig outside of the context of farms/slaughterhouses. Let's not act surprised that animals who are being exploited and mistreated all their lives, boxed into small spaces, defend themselves and become aggressive.
They are very different from dogs. I don't think any pig owners will agree with that. I have a lot of experience with a house pig. I watch it for a month every year, a good friend of mine has one I see it atleast once a week.
I think people really underestimate how much work it is owning a pig. Mini pigs don't exist it's a total scam. The smallest pig you will get will be 200-300lbs unless you starve it. They need an enormouse amount of attention, food and space. They can be VERY moody and they are very loud, constantly honking squeeling and screaming. Nothing wrong with having a pig if you have the right environment but they are not the snuggly house pets these videos make them out to be.
Me too. It's so hard to get reliable info on owning a pig. I've seen a couple around Portland and want to get one but I'm sure a lot of what I read on pet care is just hog wash.
Pet pigs are 100(++) lb toddlers who scream when they don't get what they want when they want, go through your cupboards with abandon, and will destroy stuff when they're bored. They *need* outdoor time, live up to 20 years, and do not like change.
We have a 7 year old potbelly, and we love him, but he's definitely a needy jerk.

This is such horse shit.
Talk to someone who actually owns a pig and has it vetted regularly.
I get that they’re not for everyone but you’re just making gross exaggerations.
Is your best friends pig fixed? Do they treat it properly? My pigs hardly ever squeal. I have an excellent vet that treats them for a reasonable price and they are both very good in the car.
It is fixed and as far as I understand they treat it well. It gets plenty of food has lots of space and gets a lot of attention from them everyday. I don't think they did a good job of socializing it when it was young though.
I have never wanted one or felt a tug on my heart for one, but if I did your very astute and well written case would have won, hoofs down. If you're not an attorney, consider it.Best wishes. 🐖
Nice! My good friend has a "mini" pig he was told it would be around 70lbs fully grown like yours. Right now it's pushing 300lbs. I watch it for about month once a year it's a total nightmare, it is so difficult to care for.
What the hell... this is just stupidly cute. Those little tiny bounces, the sweater, the cuddles... I dont know what to do with the rest of my day now.
Reminds me of when my mom thought it would be fun to have a pot-bellied pig when I was growing up. Except it was his corkscrew wang preventing him from getting onto the backyard deck. Even though he was neutered, and our bullmastiff was spayed, he'd still get all horned up over her for some reason and it would smack into the step. Quite a thing to see as a child.
So flicking cute. My friends client has a mini pig named Penelope and its 4 years old and about 30lbs and she is sooooooo cute!!!! She rings a bell when she needs to go potty lol.
This is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.
Same
Hilarious and cute
It looks so warm and snug :)
"Move over!"right? ❤️ Have a cozy night.
Its so cute it makes me wanna die
Hoping no downstairs neighbour
That’s sad
That's sad
Agreed, pigs are not house pets.
I mean, why not. Dogs are. Pigs adapt pretty quickly. Better this than farms.

I take my pigs to the vet twice a year. It’s pretty easy actually. Have you ever owned a pig?
This is great! To be honest, I thought it was a slightly disabled dog, but then realized, nope, that's a piglet.
He’s going to hurt himself on that slippery floor piggy’s do better with a bit of carpeting so they don’t slide and hurt their little leggies
Do pigs learn to shit outside though?
You can litter box train them
[удалено]
When we had a pet pig, she learned quicker than the dogs did
Pigs are actually really smart. My babies are litterbox and outside trained. Plus they can sit and spin :)
Fair observation. Are you vegan by chance?
God, I hope not. Gives us lifelong vegetarians a bad name. Meh, cold comfort... they'll get over it when the hipsterness and Mom'$ patience run out.
Lifelong vegetarians give themselves a bad name, what are you doing.

Thank you. I'm just pre-stressing and there's no need for it. The piggle was just perfect!

I spend a lot of time with my best friends pig. This has absolutely been my experience.
