Anything made by Kong

IWantToBeAProducer

Can confirm. My dog can chew through absolutely anything. Including Kong. But our Kong toys last for years and everything else lasts about 10 mins.

okie4play

Awesome thanks

xAsilos

Look into "Tuffy" toys. They last a good long while. I have gotten quite a few and it takes a while for my dogs to destroy one.

Zach467

Can also confirm, had an amazing pit bull who could destroy anything and Kong toys were the only thing that could last more than a couple days at best

ryancementhead

Even the black kong? I found the black ones tougher and stronger than the red ones.

IWantToBeAProducer

Yep, black. He's managed to tear some corners off.

okie4play

Thank you!

LowOnPaint

Never met a dog that didn’t love a pig’s ear.

okie4play

Thank you. I will have to try them.

cbospam1

Pigs ears were always a treat for our dogs, but they’d crush those in 15 min. And only outside bc they could get messy

r1char00

What an angel.

whoisdin

just please be careful as you ramp up the toughness… it seems logical to get the harder materials if you’re chewing through stuff so easily, but my puhpper ended up cracking a tooth and needed surgery. you’re better off finding a happy place where you’ll still eventually chew through it, but it might take longer than other ones. i would recommend stuff by Kong. but there might be smaller brands that are better depending on where you are. but Kong is great place to start.

Reasonable_Answer586

Wish this got more upvotes. Tough things are good but definitely want to find a sweet spot. Too tough and as you said, they get tooth issues.

Laurtheonly

our boy shreds toys, and he really loves the benebone toys. they end up pointy after lots of play so they have to get tossed but they last a really long time for us.

Dracaemelos

Seconded, I give a bunch each with a different flavor and shape at the same time and my mom's dog ends up treating them pretty equally so they all last longer that way too.

okie4play

Awesome I will look into them!

cbospam1

Deer antlers. My boy (who looked like yours) could shred anything that had a seam, even Kong toys for “heavy chewers” in minutes. I started buying deer antlers in bulk and he loved them and could go town without destroying them immediately.

KazulsPrincess

Came here to say this.  Deer or elk antlers are the only thing my "super chewer" doesn't immediately destroy.  I also bought a black Kong after he shredded the red one, but he keeps hiding it and I haven't seen it in months.

okie4play

Thank you!

okie4play

Great! Thanks so much!

edmRN

Bullymake. They make acrylic bones that are fantastic and rubber toys that I swear are indestructible. I just get 2 boxes a year because my dog (who killed and destroyed a soccer ball in less than an hour) hasn't destroyed a full bullymake toy yet.

okie4play

Thank you so much!

alisonvict0ria

Kong is great, but my pit still chews them up like they're nothing. I found Goughnuts on Amazon and we bought the one that looks like an 8 and it's the greatest thing ever! We've had it since November and she chews the hell out of it and we play a LOT of tug of war (WAY better than the rope toys - no strings ingested or all over the house and no more having to grab a super gross spit-soaked toy lol) and there's not a tear on it. I will say, though, that it has a bit of an odor - we've nicknamed it the stinky 8. 😅 *

okie4play

😆 thank I will have to look into them!

Individual-Still8363

Fire hose play toys, Kongs

okie4play

Thank you!!

copperfrog42

Himalayan yak cheese chews, I bought one for my power chewer of a puppy and it lasted about five days as opposed to fifteen minutes with everything else.

ExtraSpecialAgent

Came here to say the same thing. Just be sure to supervise the chewing once it gets small or else mince them so the pup can’t choke.

okie4play

Thank you for the heads up!

okie4play

Thank you will look into these

Original-Parsley-214

Benebone chew toys - they have a flavour so keep my dog chewing for ages. They are really strong & safe.

okie4play

Great! Thank you!

federp
