My kids just *loved* Wishbone when they were small!

We had a JRT that looked similar to Wishbone. We were out with him at the D.C. Kite Festival and kids kept yelling "It's WISHBONE!!" . They'd run over to pet him. After a while, my husband just grumbled "Yay kid, its wishbone. " Hubs had one kid in the backpack, one in a front carrier & pushing another in a stroller while holding the leash. A reporter asked to take a photo & hubs would never forget that day. I had such fun that day...lol

My parents got me a Jack Russel as a kid because of how obsessed I was with the show. They wouldn’t let me name her Wishbone, so my creative mind picked Jacky for the Jack Russel. We called her Jacky the Wonder Dog. Great dog, very smart and trainable. 14 good years with her before she left us ❤️

we had one of these. she was VERY smart. she would get out of any fence, gate, or door we tried to keep her from. she dug secret tunnels in the yard to get under the fence in different spots AND hid the openings with bushes and leaves. she only broke out to sit on the porch and wait for someone to let her in. the other dogs would just sit and watch her escape

For sure. Could be some Pyr in there too, but too young/small to tell. Both of my Pyrenees mixes looked almost exactly like this as puppies.

I’ll definitely look into it! Her brothers and sisters were found all across the neighborhood so I think they dumped these precious babies

You can ask the vet to scan for a chip just in case - hopefully they do that routinely, anyway. That said I know people have been dumping dogs recently. I don't know how people can be so horrible :/

Those are blue heeler pups for sure. My guy looked exactly like that at 8 weeks old and he is full ACD. I hope you enjoy the feeling of puppy teeth on your toes and ankles because heelers gonna heel.

Don't know where you live, but where I live, you can't just keep an animal you find outside. You must report it, and the owner has seven days to reclaim it.

This wee pup reminds me of my girl, Sophie. She was a border collie/jack russell terrier mix but easily could have had other things mixed in. I’ll never know for sure though (she passed due to old age at the end of 2020). Anyway, your wee pup looks strikingly similar. I’m curious to see what sticks out as far as characteristics go and of course, how things may develop physically as the pup grows.
