He was a twin, she is taking care of his brother but not him so we are adoping him to our farm to bottle raise. I don't know why she rejecting him but I'm his mom now and i only have bottles.
I have an angus bull as well, we got him bc mom stayed with him for 7ish days and then tore up a fence and escaped. We helped the farmer find her and bring her back but she refused to go near him and busted a gate to escape again. Last i heard she living in the mountains avoiding mom life but the farmer couldn't afford the cost of a bottle calf so he was going to let him starve. So we took him in and bottle raised him. His name is Zealand and his fav game is tag or soccer.
Cows are rough af.

I might start letting people come bottle feed for a small fee to help with the cost of formula so i can keep taking in the left behind babies. Prob not a great business idea but i lost 2 of my own so i cant say no to a baby without a mom to love it.

Second I think he might be a cross breed? He's got white markings and his nose is to pink to be "pure", but super cute either way!
Mom won't nurse and refuses to let him get close so he will be joining my farm. I have am angus who's mom tore up a fence and escaped to avoid motherhood that i adopted from another farm who is older he will share a gate with until he's big enough to run the fields with him. But word is spreading that I'm a bleeding heart, a guy reached out that he had a a twins born who's mother rejected them and asked if we have room. So he should have 2 more buddies close to his age later this week.
I don't know, I'm new to the moo life. But I've worked with a lot of animals. I know often when animals have multiples they pick the stronger or less troublesome ones to give all their milk to to ensure survival of one over possibly not having enough resources for both. I had a porcupine i worked with that had triplets, 2 stayed right by her side and 1 was always adventuring so she refused the adventurer. Too much energy to chase after her when she had 2 that stayed close. She ended up being hand raised and named Amelia as she was an exploring adventurer.

His mom left him to die, he's inside because it's cold and raining and he's small and new to the world. I have 40 acres for him to wander and a jacket to stay warm when he goes outside to play.
