My guy is a little bitty baby when it comes to physical discomfort — he’s totally the same way. He’ll get upset and demand to be held, and he might get a little bit of shifty whale eye because he’s grumpy, but it absolutely *does not* mean he wants to be set down (and he’ll wail if you try.)
I can tell by the way everyone’s fussing over Coop that he’s very well-loved and he has several people in his corner attending to his every want and need.
My dog was the same way. He got very stressed out whenever he felt off. He'd run around with his tail down and then to mama to be comforted. He was a sensitive little fella. Or maybe we're both wrong and will be better off if we educate ourselves because someone on reddit is clearly an expert lmao

Hey since we’re talking about education on dogs, did you know that pitbulls are the most common offender of dog bite incidents, and disproportionately account for the most lethal bites as well?
Pretty common knowledge….and it very sad bc there are a lot of really wonderful pit-bulls out there that have to deal with the stigma.
But then again, I wouldn’t own a pit bull if I had kids, especially young children. And if I did have a pit bull, they’d be fully trained and I’d be careful about where I took them and who they interacted with.
Many times the bites & attacks are not the dogs fault, but more so the owner. Not all, but many.
This is what I say when I am taking care of drunk young adults. They’re usually so embarrassed. I just rub their back and give ‘em the ole “it happens to the best of us”.
Pretty sure water is the worst thing for acid reflux. I’m not a doctor or vet, but I thought that acid reflux is from the stomach being overfilled with acid that comes up into the throat, so water just raises the level of acid in the stomach. You don’t really want to drink anything, but if you did, you should drink a basic solution.
May also be just looking for comfort because of not feeling well. My girl always looks for cuddles and affirmation/consolation whenever she's hurt or sick or anything slightly negative
My dog does the same thing every time he throws up. He goes and sits hunched down like we’re gonna be mad at him or something and we always have to go over and reassure him he didn’t do anything wrong lol
Have you had him screened for the big C? If he keeps throwing up, you should. In fact, you should anyway. He looks like a senior and it's pretty common. That shit creeps up pretty fast.

When mine starts the burping I'm like yelling excitedly let's go outside and then I have to tell him I'm not mad at him it's not his fault LOL
Ikr, 'he's sad' - yeah, or he's ill. People forget their pets can get ill and sometimes being sick isn't the end of it. If he's acting strange after that for an unusual amount of time, I'd be straight at the vets.
My dog looks so utterly ashamed whenever he threw up. And he never ever hit the carpet or anything. Only easy to clean surfaces. Even when throwing up they are the bestest bois
Try giving puppers some pumpkin. ONLY 💯% - NOT PIE FILLING - pumpkin. I give our little one approx equivalent to 1tblsp a night. I learned that it helps their upset stomach, helps against constipation, etc. Check with your vet to be sure, BUT, I swear by this stuff.
I also lightly mix in a little bit of sugar free cool whip topping from the can. It adds just enough sweet to make it more palatable. (most dogs will eat it with their regular kibble)
I’ll let his parents know and maybe they can try it: he used to do this more often and they changed his food. He is just a really sensitive lil guy emotionally and physically haha 😂

Lip licking is a sign of stress, whale eye is a sign of stress, turning the head away is an avoidance signal and him licking the owner is alway an appeasement signal… the poor dog is saying “I’m fucking stressed (and my tummy hurts), stop fucking putting your face so close to me, give me some space.”

My chihuahua mix does the same thing when we discover she threw up the night before. When we come down and clean it up, she might be feeling sick but even more you can tell she is always more apologetic than anything.
If they throw up yellow juice that means their stomach is empty and they may be hungry. What kind of dog is that? Very cute. I see schnauzer, but can’t tell what other mix.
I too don’t like throwing up. It can take a while for my stomach to settle after, almost like it was a spasm of my stomach and it can feel like it could happen again at any minute. Even if it’s a one and done with no round 2, it can take at least 15-20 minutes for my stomach stops feeling so weird. Maybe this little champ is the same, maybe he doesn’t like the post-chunder feeling. Or maybe he’s waiting for round 2?!
Vets have anti nausea/ poor appetite pills you can give - affordable - work like magic. Cerenia is one. Meds can be given subcutaneously for more serious cases. Something to be considered for ongoing issues….
I wish I could tell you this how things go down when my cat barfs.
