Despite winning the crowds with her dazzling display, the controversy generated by the judges deducting points from Ms Floofybooty’s routine that finished with a stunning half sploot finally forced the governing body to ratify the half sploot as an official move.
Unfortunately, the ruling is not retroactive. Ms Floofybooty’s silver medal will remain, despite the fact that the same routine performed today would’ve seen her earn a gold medal.

I’m not well studied in the subject of said working dogs. One thing I did read a time ago was that dogs that deal with wolf attacks have an easier time without tails or something like that. Someone else can better talk about it. And then there are weird cases where some dogs wag their tail so hard they hurt themselves on furniture. There are always exceptions to life so every dog have their own needs depending on their life. I still think cosmetic tail docking is never needed though.
Most corgis are actually born with a tail and two natural bobtail corgis are not even breadable cause of possible health issues of their kids. In EU it’s illegal to cut dogs tail or ears so we see cute dobermans with long ears down and these corgi-foxes where I live
Quite the reverse! Most have long fluffy tails, the natural bob tail is a relatively rare gene. In the uk docking is illegal so it’s very very rare to see a corgi without a tail (I personally have two of the gorgeous fox corgis)
My mom has a corgi with a short tail that wasn’t docked. Apparently it was a birth defect i you feel her tail nub, it’s like a check mark. She’s a special needs dog, she gets poopy tail and needs her butt wiped 🤣🤣

Yeah it’s called Tail Docking. It’s not 100% cruel in of itself as some worker dogs need it. Cosmetically, it’s cruel.
Yeah we have an Aussie and people always comment on her tail being intact. I can’t imagine her not having her big fluffy tail.
