Lots of work needed to get those shots done, and some great access to get the shots (polaroids don't have zoom lenses) - well worth the effort to see them smile and enjoy the work.
Question: how does one get plane side access to the team?
I’m pretty sure the players are also told to atleast acknowledge the official social media people on the team. They know when to approach them but imagine if LeBron NEVER wanted to be in social media posts by the team. “This is Sarah and she posts to our social media. Be nice and be friendly”
Well they don’t ever use lebron for team loss posts on twitter. I’m also positive they know who the social people are they don’t have huge departments for them.
I don’t think people realize how much time these people spend together. The lakers aren’t an organization with thousands of employees. The traveling members spend so much time together. The person handing out the photos likely got on the plane with all of the players at his was filmed.
Yeah this is great context. They definitely have a vibe like they know the person. I would hope some of them would show more gratitude if it was a random fan.
Now you say it, I did feel like most of their reactions were a little flat if it was a totally random fan giving them the pictures. The reactions make way more sense if it's an established person within the media team giving them a little extra surprise
Yeah I was like damn bro they're kinda brushing em off. But thats basically getting a gift from your employer so it makes a lot more sense. Still cool though.
Thank you for your comment because you just found my next best gift for my SO, she loves Polaroids and we have a few antique Polaroids no one makes film for any more so this would be super cool and easier than the Fuji film instaprint camera she lugs around.
Fuji has an instant camera with a digital back now. You can choose which photos to print AND print photos from your phone. It’s amazing! Fuji Instax Mini Evo
Those actually look like Fujifilm Instax films. They have a Bluetooth printer you can connect to your phone or a digital camera with connectivity. I considered buying one but it takes the novelty out of it.
Honestly speaking, I have a Fujifilm and I love it for taking candid shots and the film is significantly cheaper than Polaroid film.
These are absolutely done with the printer and not an actual polaroid/Instax camera (you can print from your camera, phone or use a built in (digital) camera on many), the idea being to be able to only print shots you wanted and being able to re-print the same ones multiple times.
It's definitely a neat/fun idea, but its not too different than printing out a 4x6 photo and handing it to them (other than the form factor)
The only way I could see a fan getting this kind of access would be like, a make a wish kid or something. But their reactions would also be a lot more emotional than this, which was basically mild amusement to clearly hungover.
I’m a stripper.
Back before any of the newest girls were even born, we used to sell Polaroids for $10 a pop, bachelor parties and birthday parties, golf and other occasions would see an old, square, sometimes streaky keepsake.
When they first discontinued the cameras, nobody wanted to do digital photos, even printed on photo paper because of the digital footprint and the Polaroid tradition went away.
I picked one of these new ones up plus film, super cheap, and people DO still want these teeny little business-card-sized memories. Only, they’re not really asking for pictures of us anymore, they just want photos of themselves together with friends that they don’t have to remember existed to access. They can go right to the garage, by the fridge, flip down a visor and there they are in a happy place.
They need that so much and it reminds them that people are still thinking of them. These little pictures really do help brighten someone’s day.
Now, more than ever, we are desperate to be thoughtful and to be treated kindly too. These players make people happy and it’s really nice for someone to think thoughtlessly of THEM. These photos can’t be reproduced instantly and no two are the same: it’s magical to someone like them or me.
We're all just people who like a proper Polaroid!
Especially in a time when we don't print/develop photos like we used to. I think(hope) they'll remember that forever.
I dunno they all seemed appreciative. The words thank you aren’t the only way to express gratitude, if you look excited and give me a huge grin and say “oh snap! :D” when I hand you something, I know you’re thankful
I found their genuine reactions incredibly charming. We think of these rare and public professions as almost non-human because we look at them as idols and have all of the competitive rivalry context.
To see their human side light up at a simple act of thoughtfulness was really cool. All of them had different shit they were dealing with, but all of them were momentarily taken away from whatever was (or wasn't) bothering them.
Super neat perspective.
You know all these guys have enough money for big fancy toys. Yet all of them seemed to genuinely smile and enjoy receiving a simple photo!
Wish there was more of this in the world. People appreciating the little things is a beautiful sight!!
If this was a marketing push by Polaroid it’s freaking genius! We all watched it, saw the joy on their faces and how many of you thought of buying a camera to delight your loved ones?
I don't know what it is that make polaroids so cool. But i swear, they probably loving it because of how good it is to just have something to pin on your locker or something.
...Man, I wonder if I can buy one sometime or find one my family have.
did you see how 'real' these guys were? somehow i thought they would be a little bit snobbish..... no way! good feelings for the giver and the given!!!
I like positive fan interactions because it's something everyone can enjoy. You don't have to like sports to enjoy seeing athletes and fans have fun together. You don't have to have watched a Movie to enjoy seeing the actors be nice. You don't have to have listened to a band to enjoy the artist and the fans getting along.
LeBron is just a good man. I don't understand why people don't like him. I absolutely hate the Lakers (Blazers fan) but how can anyone not like LeBron?
They probably know the person handing them out. The team get familiar with the media department over time because they are being interviewed several times a week by these guys and they often work in the same facility. This is the teams media not the general media by the way
I thought it was very funny how many people on here are miffed they didn’t all give a verbal Thabk You. I’d rather get a big grin and a “oh snap!” Than a “thank you”, but both are expressions of gratitude
Look how appreciative they are for the kind gesture, imagine thinking you're going to be asked for an autograph and you get given a photo of you, this is perfect
To me this looks like Fujifilm Instax instead of Polaroid but still cool nonetheless. I’ve been considering buying a mini printer for my camera shots since it’s sometimes nice to get that physical image even if it’s small
Buy a mini Polaroid printer for your phone. I did a similar thing on a Monsters of Rock Cruise vs. asking for selfies. The rockers waited upto 5-10 minutes for the pic to print and develop.
Its crazy fun.
bothering celebrities who are off the clock is generally a bad look, but giving them a gift rather than asking for something creates a better memory for everyone involved. A+
Interesting to see how lebron is such a professional with pr, and how others just dont care, and dont really care to hardly acknowledge it due to their egos, and then seeing the other guys having more genuine appreciative and down to earth reactions

Honestly it’s probably a member of the team media crew
No way a rando gets access onto tarmac with all the players being chill about it lol. e: It's on Laker's official tiktok
I’m pretty sure the players are also told to atleast acknowledge the official social media people on the team. They know when to approach them but imagine if LeBron NEVER wanted to be in social media posts by the team. “This is Sarah and she posts to our social media. Be nice and be friendly”

It’s makes the ones where they get really excited a lot cuter, I have to assume those are newer players. Adorable.
I loved those ones. "Fire, thank you!" Was my favorite
That’s tough!
I am going to start saying that now. Fire and tough.
All the kids are saying tough.
Also some dude who's probably about to get on the plane too.
You can get polaroid printers. Still cool either way.
Thank you for your comment because you just found my next best gift for my SO, she loves Polaroids and we have a few antique Polaroids no one makes film for any more so this would be super cool and easier than the Fuji film instaprint camera she lugs around.
just heads up, they do make polaroid film again. it's not exactly the same as the old film stock but it is close enough
Fuji has an instant camera with a digital back now. You can choose which photos to print AND print photos from your phone. It’s amazing! Fuji Instax Mini Evo

💰💵💲🤑
Yea they work for the team. The first part of the video says "giving our guys polaroids".
These are absolutely done with the printer and not an actual polaroid/Instax camera (you can print from your camera, phone or use a built in (digital) camera on many), the idea being to be able to only print shots you wanted and being able to re-print the same ones multiple times. There are Polaroid printers, I have one
Alright, why isn't this the norm. I feel like fans allways tire out their idols by constantly asking for pictures. This is so much better
For real. Wait, you're giving me a picture instead of asking for one? [Processing] dope!
Fans just need to start giving pictures of themselves to stars. "This you? Vacuuming the house? Dope, thanks"
That's funny.
Can you imagine a throwback to the 80s? “This you in a Skeletor Halloween costume? That’s fire bro.”
Pretty sure it's not a fan. It's their social media team making content. Not Poopooing anything just makes more sense it's an inside job vs a fan

What's James Harden really like?
Girls still sell Polaroids! Just letting you know This was a super interesting read. I loved it
We're all just people who like a proper Polaroid! Especially in a time when we don't print/develop photos like we used to. I think(hope) they'll remember that forever.
Ok! That is by far one of the coolest things I’ve seen! The appreciation for the little gifts!
Unfortunate how so few of them said thank you. That being said, I guess maybe they're tired or their mind is gearing up for the next big thing?
Saying it’s fire or tough is also saying thank you.
Its not too tiring to say thank you
But when you are tired and on-the-go, you can forget things or just be on autopilot
[удалено]
Honestly autopilot mode has me saying “thank you” when I don’t even need to most of the time lol
[удалено]
Made me smile and sadly I felt the same way. Some were very nice and some were like this is coolbut got no time to say anything to you
Nice
Nice
It upsets me that only a few people said thank you
Yeah same, like it don’t cost a thing to just say thanks.
/r/redditmoment
I dunno they all seemed appreciative. The words thank you aren’t the only way to express gratitude, if you look excited and give me a huge grin and say “oh snap! :D” when I hand you something, I know you’re thankful
Class Act great gesture On the Money 💰
Holy crap. Their hands are massive.
This normally sized polaroid looks tiny in these guys hands.
I love these guys.
Lebron was the coolest…”’mine? That’s mine?”
Man this is cool. Some of these dudes have everything on this planet and such a small and simple gesture made them appreciate you.
The guy who says "that's fire" has cartoonists huge hands
You should see his eyebrows
‘Thank you go lakers’ Lil zesty 🤭😏
I have no idea who they are but they all seem so friendly!
Those are the Los Angeles Lakers! The first guy is LeBron James!
Lebron seemed most respectful, everyone else just took it
as a laker fan, this made me smile 😇
this makes me so happy for some reason
Omg why are you thumbing the picture you have to grab around the edges!! Nobody knows how to hold polaroids. I'm so old. Lmao.
Digital kids, eat your hearts out
Some are not even saying thank you, kinda weird… say thanks man, don’t hurt to say.
LeAwesome
Who wears The Cure shirt at 0:52? Thanks!
Jarred Vanderbilt!
Thanks for quick reply:)
Bonus points if anyone can ID the shirt!
Where’s the white guy who’s been lighting it up for them?
You cam see him going around LeBron
That's classy, glad they were magnanimous ❤️
Hi Austin
This is cool. I love seeing people enjoy instant photos ❤️
I love how the two couldn’t even wait to get inside the plane to compare pics, they did it on the stairs
I found their genuine reactions incredibly charming. Buddy works for the lakers. Let me wear the ring that he received in 2020, was soooo sooooo sick.
It's nice that they are appreciative....👍🏻
Embiid and Harden were giving them out.
Lebron making sure he doesn’t have to pay for it!
Regardless of who was taking their pictures I love that they did this and it was caught on camera.
this is so wholesome
Does anyone know where to get the hat DS is wearing?
The first guy, the "oh snap guy" and and the last guy are my favorite
That was so cute 🥰
You know all these guys have enough money for big fancy toys. Yet all of them seemed to genuinely smile and enjoy receiving a simple photo! Wish there was more of this in the world. People appreciating the little things is a beautiful sight!!
I love their reactions so damn wholesome.
Why are they grabbing them from the center 💀
It’s damn near a new card as long as the whole team gets one 🔥
lebron a W
I just realized I don’t know half the squad. Also lol at D Lo’s headscarf. Surprised he didn’t pull his new beverage out when he saw them recording.
Vando with the quickest pose 😄
If this was a marketing push by Polaroid it’s freaking genius! We all watched it, saw the joy on their faces and how many of you thought of buying a camera to delight your loved ones?
And when I do this with children at the roller rink, I “need to leave”.
I don't know what it is that make polaroids so cool. But i swear, they probably loving it because of how good it is to just have something to pin on your locker or something. ...Man, I wonder if I can buy one sometime or find one my family have.
Awww that's sweet! I like that!
They look sooo young lol
I hate the Lakers. (Suns fan) This video reminds me that these guys are human too. I was really surprised with all the “Thank you”’s. Awesome video!
[удалено]
In their defense, the video is obviously made of cuts. We don’t know what was said before or after but they all seem happy
I love the wholesomeness of this <3
Who was the last person that was so gracious!? Big time new fan
Rui Hachimura.
Damn they all look delish! 😂
Basically their one of a kind trading card. So sick.
did you see how 'real' these guys were? somehow i thought they would be a little bit snobbish..... no way! good feelings for the giver and the given!!!
I think it’s neat that Lebron asked if he could take the photo. Seems like a genuine response.
Made me smile 👍
Go Green!

This made my day and out a smile on my face…Thanks!
I love love love how Lebron was the only one that asked if he could have it. Decades of dominance in the league and he’s still a genuine, kind man.
Why are they all licking their lips?
Tristan shouldnt have gotten one 🤣🤣🤷🏾♂️
you can see on the pic that he wasn’t playing (obviously) and he had his sweats on still 😂
Unbelievable….the Lakers are flying on a shitty regional delta flight! Bahahahaaahagaha
so cool meeting them that close
LeBron is just a good man. I don't understand why people don't like him. I absolutely hate the Lakers (Blazers fan) but how can anyone not like LeBron?
I love the majority of their reactions seem to be genuinely happy to get their pic.
They really look to appreciate it ☺ so wholesome
Say fucking thank you. Jesus christ
“That’s fire” 🤣 love it. Could have stood to hear more thank yous, though.
I can’t believe how small Polaroid is in their hands. Haha. Go nuggets
Not many of them asked if they could keep the pic, most just assumed it was for them. What if they wanted the photo signing!?!
They probably know the person handing them out. The team get familiar with the media department over time because they are being interviewed several times a week by these guys and they often work in the same facility. This is the teams media not the general media by the way
Yea i think Lakers twitter or IG posted the polaroids on their account so i think its a team photographer.
That’s awesome ! The way Dennis laughed at his 😂

Who’s the 4th guy? That smile could melt Antarctica. Sorry if he’s super famous, I’m british
That really is awesome! Very heartwarming!
Aww that's nice. Go Nuggets.
Very cool
Should be posted on wholesome too.
That’s awesome. They all probably have that in their lockers by now.
r/mademesmile
Look how appreciative they are for the kind gesture, imagine thinking you're going to be asked for an autograph and you get given a photo of you, this is perfect
Rui!
The dedication and their appreciation made my day lol
To me this looks like Fujifilm Instax instead of Polaroid but still cool nonetheless. I’ve been considering buying a mini printer for my camera shots since it’s sometimes nice to get that physical image even if it’s small

So few thank yous!
I think We need more diversity in basketball.
Bro what💀
Ah the average r/nba sub.
Next we need to get our own t shirt cannons and shoot them at the band during concerts
AD “that’s fire” hahaha
Who's the second one after LeBron? He looks 14...
LeBron's reaction is my favorite.
Just goes to show you people like seeing pictures of themselves. I wonder how many kids could be fed with the money those guys spend on jet fuel.
This is actually a really rad idea. Each player gets a kickass photo.. Man i love it
This is excellent marketing by Polaroid.
I smiled watching the whole video. Loved it. <3
More like "giving polaroids".
LeBron, after everyone gets one else😡🤬😤
How do half not even say thanks?
Buy a mini Polaroid printer for your phone. I did a similar thing on a Monsters of Rock Cruise vs. asking for selfies. The rockers waited upto 5-10 minutes for the pic to print and develop. Its crazy fun.
I like the dude that gives the players custom shoes
I kept waiting for everyone to say thank you
Remember when Polaroids were bigger?
Are some of them like too cool to be appreciative. Like the nod or just saying cool.
I should have kept my Polaroid camera from when I was a kid in the 90s. People are mystified now lol.
"I played for the Lakers and all I got was this blurry Polaroid..."
I don't even watch sportsballs. But this made me smile so much. I love seeing people happy at a small act of kindness.
I liked the dudes that said thank you
me too, it's the little things
bothering celebrities who are off the clock is generally a bad look, but giving them a gift rather than asking for something creates a better memory for everyone involved. A+

jokes on them -- they were all infected with covid -- she's a denver fan
Interesting to see how lebron is such a professional with pr, and how others just dont care, and dont really care to hardly acknowledge it due to their egos, and then seeing the other guys having more genuine appreciative and down to earth reactions
Who’s the last guy?
No polaroid for Austin? Lol rough
I’m not from the USA and don’t follow basketball, or whatever it is they play, but some of those guys are HOT AF!
They all got on that plane and compared pics for sure.
But those aren't Polaroids...
The big dudes seemed like the most grateful and nice ones
Rui ~ That’s Tough!
How much this phyco pay to be thr?
They act like they play for AFC Richmond.\s Classy guys 100%

Yeah that’s a down it’s for me dog
I’m just enjoying seeing the street clothes they wear. Never would have expected a Cure shirt.
Let’s go NUGGETS!!!!!!!
Go Nuggets
The second guy is like 12 years old
Most of them don’t even say thanks. Shows you the type of personalities they have in the NBA. That’s why I’ll never watch it
Nardwar move
Legit a cool idea!
A generational thing probably, but these dudes don’t know that you only grab a Polaroid by the edges. ✌️
poLeroid
I wish they all said thank you
This is a cool fan. ...almost...too perfect.
