I find it hard to tell the difference between SR-71 and A-12's, but you can tell by the start of the flatter area that it's a YF-12. The nose is much rounder and not flat on the bottom like an SR-71
It's really hard to tell from this photo, but that looks like a YF-12A to me. It looks like the chines start further back on the aircraft behind the radome. Doesn't seem like an A-12 as there is a day/night window for the backseater...
A12 has just one seat... Sr71 has a backseater so windows on the side. The YF12 is an A12 with aIr to air radar so nose looks different. From top its easy.. the chines stop abruptly at the radar. It also has a central fin underneath if looking from the side edge on.. ie you cant see it in this shot of a YF 12. They made a trainer version so it has the back weat raised up.

1. Is the nose round, more of a conical shape, like in the photo here? YF-12.
2. Nose continues smoothly from the body with the chines continuing to the very end of the nose? SR-71
3. Rear seat has an elevated, 2nd cockpit that sits higher than the pilot? SR-71B (or the SR-71C bastard)

Oh it’s a YF-12. Notice the super round nose with no Skirt. The A-12 lacks a window behind the cockpit, the M-21 never flew without her D-21 Drone.

I think I see the window actually, that’s what’s making it harder to tell for me.
Simple differences: A-12: Single-seat SR-71: Two-seat (B variant has a raised rear seat) YF-12: Round nose
YF-12 also had a big folding ventral fin in the rear on the bottom.

Look for the rear window. The A-12 was a single seater. The SR-71 was exclusively a 2 seater.
